    Amazing...one day I hope to get one of these bad boys and potentially see about upgrading it with Stereo and RGB video. It seems like such a nifty monitor!

    This is so incredible and fascinating to see. Yesterday I picked up that exact model Trinitron (I love how small it is), but ran into the same issue interestingly. Was wondering: if you degauss it once, is it fixed forever? Or will you likely need to degauss it again in the future?

      I wouldn't say that the degauss effect lasts forever, but it does last quite a while if there aren't any other issues with the display and if no magnets pass close to the glass. Congrats on finding one of your own - they're so cool!

    What degaussing coil did you buy?

      Thanks for watching! Also, here's the specific item I ordered - I'm really looking forward to using it with a few other vintage color CRT's that I think will benefit from a 'magnetic tune-up'
