      Quando si produce un mezzo su licenza è normale cambiarli il nome.
      Lo facevamo anche noi italiani sui nostri elicotteri in passato.
      Un esempio sono gli UH-1 Huey(nome commerciale era Bell-204) rinominati AB-204(Agusta-Bell 204), insomma usavamo sempre la sigla AB per gli elicotteri costruiti su licenza.

    • @knight6
      @knight6 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This chopper will be in the US Air Force missile bases to replace those old UH1N Hueys that they had for decades. There was a proposed HH60U version of the Black Hawk family to fill this role, but the AgustaWestin 139 had a better deal for the Air Force. Since the Air Force had those UH1N Hueys for a long time at those missile bases and other stateside airbases, they probably wanted to have a cheaper and simpler aircraft in their budget for those stateside missile bases and other stateside bases whereas their more expensive MH60 Pave Hawks and CV22 Ospreys can be utilized more on in the field.

It’s amazing that after 80 years we are still restricted to helicopters for 99% of our vertical takeoff and landing operations. It’s one hell of an engineering hurdle. It'll be interesting to see what avionics fit they select, and their choice of equipment fit.
    They've already chosen the Wire Strike Protection System (WSPS), Rescue Winch, and the electronic sensor and camere chin turret.
    The decision to choose a proven, verified cost aircraft will save a considerable amount of money over the proposed life cycle of the fleet!
    The nsme is a bit silly, but then they weren't going to call it the yellow chicken, so I guess it's not so bad!

    This is garbage, the only place the air force uses Huey's is for VIP personnel and around d.c and base security ._. we use hh-60s an ospreys since we don't have 53s anymore for combat roles. If we're spending money on new aircraft can we get another heavy lift helicopter or maybe an advanced version of the 60 please?

      Austin Williamson there will be an upgraded Pave Hawk called the HH60W “Jolly Green II” for the Air Force for those search and rescue and other special operations. The MH139 Grey Wolf will only be used at those stateside for those stateside missile bases and airbases to replace those old UH1N Hueys. There was a proposed HH60U variant of the Black Hawk/Pave Hawk family to be used at these USAF installations but the Grey Wolf was cheaper and simpler to operate so the Pentagon decided to get the Grey Wolf to save money stateside and get those Jolly Green II Pave Hawks to go along with the Ospreys.
