I wonder if Toga and Deku relationship is actually in the open in the League. I mean this ep surely gave them the idea, you'd had to be blind to miss the care they have for each other, but was it really out in the open or it's just coming up now? What's your take?
Yep, it's his character's charisma. Or as some people on the net have speculated, it may be a Quirk that no one even recognizes as such: an ability to draw people to him. His mother can pull small things towards her, and his dad is a fire breather *if I remember that part being canon is right or not*, this his fiery passion sparks the pull that brings people to him.
To be honest I really like this version of deku because he’s not just plain evil or has easily changed ideals, still just like a kid and in canon his goal is still the same to create a better world where he can help people and make them smile, In this AU he has the same end goal as cannon just using different means and a different path to reach it, can’t wait for the next video on this series
Except in this version he comes to this realization of his own accord. While as a hero this mindset is shared by so many other heroes and people on a wide scale with very little difference in motivation, and any other is shown in the worst possible light (Insert wife abuser Endeavor and bully Bakugo who tells people to die or commit suicide and then attempts to make them sympathetic characters), it kind of comes across as brainwashing like the Sniper woman said.
That memory confirms it, Deku still very much wants to be a Hero in this AU he’s just going about it a different way, now that I think about it he has a lot in common with Garou from One Punch Man (both bully victims with lots of Empathy and a strong sense of honor and justice).
@@DISGUYR8HERE Garou wants to be a Monster but he doesn’t want to be a murderer, this is evident by the fact that he hasn’t actually killed any Heroes but he has killed plenty of Monsters.
the difference is that Deku is now something more similar to heroes/antiheroes. He belive in the justice, the same as the true heroes. However, the society of this history have two groups of heroes: people that work as a hero only because they think that have to, and the others that want to be popular and left moral and the true justice back.
That's what all for one said about Deku back in Chapter 2 he has the power of a born leader and even theorize that he may have more followers than he did in the past one day

I have never cared for fan comics or non canon, but Jesus this feels so professionally done and is so incredibly well written I can't stop binging this. Absolutely incredible work
You should read the MHA fan manga called A Hero Rises by Zabeck, It's a Izuku x Fem only poly and it has a bit of smut in it but the story is really well done, I can't put into words well but it's just really good.
Let's hope that's in the future, the director will decide to make a parallel world where deku become the villain who has taken over the world and now he is coming to the hero deku world and take over their world as well
I can only imagine what the villains felt at the end there. The boss and friend who’s been helping them out so much had such a traumatic backstory, that the moment he’s allowed to show weakness and cries, it becomes overwhelmingly painful to them. A similar scene is like in spoilers The manga for Baki: Son of Ogre, Baki after proving he can fight his dad, for the first time in his painful life gets a compliment from him and he just starts crying. When his dad insists on praising him and forces a pat on the head, he’s so overwhelmed he starts kicking and screaming, but the realization hits everyone watching and it’s too sad to watch.
awww. THAT WAS SO CUTE! unlike when he is a hero, where he is forced to go back to the others because they are worrying about him. In HERE, sure they ARE worrying about him. But not forcing their ideals onto him. Which gives Deku ALOT more freedom
@@playerstation5624 spoilers like where everyone wanted him to go back while they knew he wouldn't go back to UA because of AFO. And Deku didn't want to, because he didn't want to hurt them. (Even though it was by friendship), they still forced this on him (including him going alone with PRO HEROES). To try and fight AFO. Even when they KNEW he could NOT defeat him, you could say THAT's the reason. But my point is, is that WHEN they were TRYING to bring him back. They used force instead of trying to get everything ect. Like they were trying to tell him of how Deku changed their lives, but he it didn't matter at this point. Cause the whole POINT was for Deku to stay AWAY from UA
There is an old war quote that fits this comic “it is common to dehumanize the enemy (villain in this case) after all if they truly were human than what does that make you” this comic series is awesome as it is a villain au we’re they have a reason for doing things and to change the world in a way that they see as beneficial for everyone
I'm always blown away with how sometimes anime fans can create such amazing stories that seem to dig deeper into the lore created by the original artist, to explore the worlds beyond what is put to paper and ink or movie screen. And to be able to offer up "What if'?" that still seem logical to that lore is what makes me such a HUGE fan of this. And why I love fanfiction and fan comics in the first place.
You know I expected deku to lash out at her for impersonating his dead mother, but he clearly knows how she shows affection and comfort and is patient with her.
So let's recap Izuku's struggles in chronological order of this AU story: Born Quirkless and shunned by society. Bullied by his (former) childhood friend, Bakugo. Being told he can't be a hero by the man he looked up to (All Might). Being rejected from all jobs relating to Hero work. Publicly humiliated on TV by a government member and pro heroes, thus destroying his future. Said government, performed an experiment with a low survival rate on Inko thus killing her while Izuku is away meeting All For One, Dr. Garaki and Kurogiri. Government THEN set fire to the Midoriya household burning the place Izuku calls home in hopes to cover up their failure. Izuku tries to rescue his mom upon returning home from his meeting with AFO. In his desperate attempt to rescue his mother, (which I assume he is not made aware off her death) suffered severe burns to 70% his body that damaged the nerves that controls his emotions beyond repair. He is probably saved by Kurogiri just barely and thus now has the armor around his neck, was given some quirks and trained by All For One before appearing in the USJ attack some time later in chapter 1, now reborn as the Izuku we see in this AU. Christ poor kid can't catch a break. Also that ending made me cry, no matter how many times I see it.
Yeah, that about sums it up 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 wanna who to blame . . . . . THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!! them bastards started the whole damn process. Izuku don't deserve somin' like this. I mean COME ON!!!!!! Just because someone don't gotta "qurik" don't mean they useless. I mean, hell, if I was a pro-hero and someone who was qurikless asked me if they can become a hero, I'd tell 'em "if ya heart, ya got what it takes" , then help 'em out.
Uncharacteristic for Villain Deku. Par for the course for standard Deku. It's that one moment when the canon runs perpendicular to the AU for the briefest of moments that brings this comic to life.
Because they actually treat each other like close friends rather than bunkmates. You get to see them interacting with each other other serious things, silly things, and even serious silly things. They aren't there for the sake of being there and reminding you that they exist. The "friends" in the vanilla can be easily replaced by cardboard cut-outs and you wouldn't know the difference because they don't have ANYTHING to contribute to the story.
By showing them as actual people rather than rats scurrying in the dark sewers hiding from the benevolent heroes who hunt them like the filthy animals they are.
Man I feel that this chapter made Deku friendship with the villain league even more wholesome and genuine than with the guys at UA heck I can't wait to see Aoyama and Invisíble girl interactions with villain Deku
This definitely parallels the canon timeline where everybody stoped Deku's solo vigilante mode. But I think I prefer this version after all, I feel more attached somehow even though its class 1-A..
Screw the original manga. THIS IS THE REAL MASTERPIECE. The emotion, the pain are so real to me. Deku x Toga is the best. The connection they have is so rare and unique
Yeah they didn't do anything wrong it was the world itself... they say there's kind people in the world but really what is anything kind in people sense they or we can see the ugliness in the world or the people we can't change the world by on our own but we change a little in people.
Blame that stupid minister hero law for ruining his life and for taking away inko's life!?! Along with Bakugou... No better yet the whole society for ruining Shinso and Midoriya life.
You know now that I think about it 🤔...when deku went rouge his classmates forced him to come back to UA with the most irrelevant BS.But in this comic dekus villian friends actually go out of their way to help him with Being overwhelmed and generally care for him not cause he's dangerous,but as genuine friend which makes this really wholesome and actually impact full. The UA students are literally trying to kick his ass trying to come back and it was more of a gang assault than actually being helpful and understanding. All im saying is the villians are way more understanding in this AU, and actually know how to stick together to where its feels like a family looking out for each other.(Let me know what u guys think 🤔?????)
Yeah, 1-A were being asses, they’re harboring AFO & Shigarakis target to a hero course school filled with innocent people, family, and children who are being sheltered
@@gavintheg.o.a.t2001 He's also a kid, a student of said school, and the only true weapon they have again AFO. He was hurt, tired, falling apart at the edges and starting to do very rash things on his own. As a human being how can you turn away a kid that is at the end of his rope? As someone who knows that kid was out there saving lives, possibly your own life from villains and calamity how can you turn your back on him when he needs your help? And as a hero who knows you just don't have the power to stand against the enemy and the one person who does have the ability to is burning themselves out decimating your 1 chance to possibly win and save your city and possibly the world, would you take the chance not to pull that person in and get them back up to fighting strength? Just like in the second spiderman movie when spiddy saves a train full of people almost breaking himself a part. They saw he was a kid, that kid had saved their lives and they took him in and tried to defend him against a superior villain. Its not about being "selfish" but understanding the human side of it both emotionally and pragmatically.
@@gavintheg.o.a.t2001 it's a weird point imo cause the school is still the hero class' home at that point and all society seems to be breaking down cause everyone is taking things into their own hands. Yes the class is bringing in an important target that will draw in AFO/Shirgaraki, but at the same time it's the safest place to hole up for the heroes and form a real plan as opposed to Deku just running around recklessly trying to avoid hurting people and basically leaving himself cut-off and exposed OR making All Might an easy target
Cause the Villains don't care about anyone else or Hero code but the ones they want and that includes their allies but the Heroes have their code or law to abide and Deku was crossing it. So as Heroes they must stop Deku from crossing it.
This truly is a beautiful masterpiece of a what if scenario. Even as a villain he does have a way of bringing others close to his heart and honestly deserves love and protection… Rather a hero or a villain, he is a precious soul himself…
And you know it's funny in every Au where he's a villain the league and whoever else he's teamed up with turned out to be more open-minded accepting and kinds of him in the heroes were
I love this series so much, and the art style has progressively kept getting SO GOOD to the point if I told someone this was a unofficial knock off made by the creators of MHA, they'd likely believe me.

We do love some wholesome shipping, backstory, lore, character interaction, (some horni but not that much I'M LOOKING AT YOU JAMES(you know who you are)) and good story.

I shed tears after reading this my heart broke at Izukus past and how he is cherish by those close to him. Also for more of a possible connection of Izukus and toga, when she sings that song, Izukus mother said she heard from a little girl showing how these two were connected from start, hell might be possible canon if you think deeper about it
Now I really wish he'd let that government guy live to see everything he built burn right in front of his eyes and live knowing he was responsible for it all.

I absolutely love this it shows that no matter what deku will always be the kind loving person who wants the best for his friends and if there are people around him who support and look after him when he's pushing himself too hard
13:21 Can we just appreciate that Midoriya looks confused in the same way he looks confused in the original My Hero Academia? A small nod that despite everything, Midoriya is still the Midoriya we know, only with a different focus.
The proof that all the villains, toga and even deku cried, just defines that villains aren't bad, they have feelings and they're victims of a rotten society.
That was the most beautiful and saddest thing I could imagine. Maybe his mother is not there but she will always be in Deku's heart and mind and also being his spirit on the side of his only family, they have made me want to cry
I’m sorry, but watching this without music makes it a lot better at the “Lucky Star” portion. Trying to imagine just what the song sounds like, and Toga starting the song in a soft tone, and then seeing the flash back to such an innocent memory without pain and suffering, just seeing what life used to be, and that song from the flashback slowly fading out from Inko’s loving voice to Toga’s quiet voice… it just hits really hard. One problem that comics and manga have is that it strips away a lot of room for imagination. Sure, you get awesome visuals, and that’s one of the main appeals, but you can’t really come up with your own interpretations to what the scene looks like. In this case, the writer captures that feeling with the song instead. By making it such an integral moment, readers can’t just skip it (like I normally do with songs written in text). The reader is forced to imagine what this song sounds like, but is also given guidelines. What kind of song would Inko sing to a young Izuku? Certainly not a rock song. Probably something more along the lines of a nursery rhyme. There isn’t background noise when the song is being sung. It’s just the characters: Izuku, Toga, and Inko. Silent but for their singing. You can feel the melancholy of the scene, as Izuku reminisces on such a happy memory tainted by the tragedy of his mother’s death. His safe space is gone, ripped away forever. Slowly, the scene shifts back to Toga, singing the very same song from so many years ago, from that very same point in time. Izuku crying is him finally feeling safe enough to grieve in front of others, but he’s smiling, because he has Toga there, not to act as a replacement for his mother, but to fill the role of a safe person to be with. It’s a fairly simple scene, but it’s simplicity is heart-wrenchingly beautiful. But the *hype* music really ruins the tone of the moment. So if you’re reading this, please think about this for future emotional moments. Just change the music to something softer.

Damn this AU is amazing. Not gonna lie my mind managed to put a tune to the song, and even so, i could read the flashback aswell, it really felt amazingly made, and the weight from it literaly made me tear up. And, i guess, this is still the same Deku, just hurt a litle bit more, trying to help those, who were hurt the most

Uncharacteristic for Villain Deku. Par for the course for standard Deku. It's that one moment when the canon runs perpendicular to the AU for the briefest of moments that brings this comic to life.

Because they actually treat each other like close friends rather than bunkmates. You get to see them interacting with each other other serious things, silly things, and even serious silly things. They aren't there for the sake of being there and reminding you that they exist. The "friends" in the vanilla can be easily replaced by cardboard cut-outs and you wouldn't know the difference because they don't have ANYTHING to contribute to the story.

This definitely parallels the canon timeline where everybody stoped Deku's solo vigilante mode. But I think I prefer this version after all, I feel more attached somehow even though its class 1-A..

Being overwhelmed and generally care for him not cause he's dangerous,but as genuine friend which makes this really wholesome and actually impact full. The UA students are literally trying to kick his ass trying to come back and it was more of a gang assault than actually being helpful and understanding. All im saying is the villians are way more understanding in this AU, and actually know how to stick together to where its feels like a family looking out for each other.(Let me know what u guys think 🤔?????)

He was hurt, tired, falling apart at the edges and starting to do very rash things on his own. As a human being how can you turn away a kid that is at the end of his rope? As someone who knows that kid was out there saving lives, possibly your own life from villains and calamity how can you turn your back on him when he needs your help? And as a hero who knows you just don't have the power to stand against the enemy and the one person who does have the ability to is burning themselves out decimating your 1 chance to possibly win and save your city and possibly the world, would you take the chance not to pull that person in and get them back up to fighting strength?
Just like in the second spiderman movie when spiddy saves a train full of people almost breaking himself a part. They saw he was a kid, that kid had saved their lives and they took him in and tried to defend him against a superior villain. Its not about being "selfish" but understanding the human side of it both emotionally and pragmatically.

Yes the class is bringing in an important target that will draw in AFO/Shirgaraki, but at the same time it's the safest place to hole up for the heroes and form a real plan as opposed to Deku just running around recklessly trying to avoid hurting people and basically leaving himself cut-off and exposed OR making All Might an easy target
Cause the Villains don't care about anyone else or Hero code but the ones they want and that includes their allies but the Heroes have their code or law to abide and Deku was crossing it. So as Heroes they must stop Deku from crossing it.
The art has definitely improved, not only that the story is also amazing. This should be spread all across the globe.

I like how Toga's attitude toward Deku is bolder than Ochaco, which makes the relationship more compatible with the still innocent and shy Deku.

I like this version of villain Deku it’s so much better than the weird ones you find on the Internet. This one has a goal and the others have no soul.
I shed tears after reading this my heart broke at Izukus past and how he is cherish by those close to him. Also for more of a possible connection of Izukus and toga, when she sings that song, Izukus mother said she heard from a little girl showing how these two were connected from start, hell might be possible canon if you think deeper about it
Now I really wish he'd let that government guy live to see everything he built burn right in front of his eyes and live knowing he was responsible for it all.

The proof that all the villains, toga and even deku cried, just defines that villains aren't bad, they have feelings and they're victims of a rotten society.
That was the most beautiful and saddest thing I could imagine. Maybe his mother is not there but she will always be in Deku's heart and mind and also being his spirit on the side of his only family, they have made me want to cry
I’m sorry, but watching this without music makes it a lot better at the “Lucky Star” portion. Trying to imagine just what the song sounds like, and Toga starting the song in a soft tone, and then seeing the flash back to such an innocent memory without pain and suffering, just seeing what life used to be, and that song from the flashback slowly fading out from Inko’s loving voice to Toga’s quiet voice… it just hits really hard.
One problem that comics and manga have is that it strips away a lot of room for imagination. Sure, you get awesome visuals, and that’s one of the main appeals, but you can’t really come up with your own interpretations to what the scene looks like. In this case, the writer captures that feeling with the song instead. By making it such an integral moment, readers can’t just skip it (like I normally do with songs written in text). The reader is forced to imagine what this song sounds like, but is also given guidelines. What kind of song would Inko sing to a young Izuku? Certainly not a rock song. Probably something more along the lines of a nursery rhyme. There isn’t background noise when the song is being sung. It’s just the characters: Izuku, Toga, and Inko. Silent but for their singing. You can feel the melancholy of the scene, as Izuku reminisces on such a happy memory tainted by the tragedy of his mother’s death. His safe space is gone, ripped away forever. Slowly, the scene shifts back to Toga, singing the very same song from so many years ago, from that very same point in time. Izuku crying is him finally feeling safe enough to grieve in front of others, but he’s smiling, because he has Toga there, not to act as a replacement for his mother, but to fill the role of a safe person to be with.
It’s a fairly simple scene, but it’s simplicity is heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
But the *hype* music really ruins the tone of the moment. So if you’re reading this, please think about this for future emotional moments. Just change the music to something softer.
