I'm honestly impressed with the fact that the soundtrack was already completed by time the game had reached beta. Seems like they're part of the first few things that get done in game production.
A lot of the animations look exactly the same as the final game too. All the attacks and even the cut scene when meeting the allegiances is exactly the same as in the final game (besides the glasses). It's crazy how the areas (besides the grave yard) all looks the same except for her outside and some stuff we didn't get in the final game

Everything about this game deserves to be archived. At ten years old and it's still not old. The most recent re-release gave players a ton of new content. There are so many games that get re-master re-released, but you can bet when this one gets the treatment on PS5 or whatever it's going to have like a brand new level or something.

I'm pretty sure Mysterious Destiny wasn't even finished during this beta. It was probably just used as a placeholder for the footage because Platinum couldn't release the beta battle music due to its unfinished state at the time or because of a licensing issue.
The animations of angels being dragged by hands to Inferno when dying a specific way look awesome !! Maybe they were cut because it didn't fit the humor used in Bayonetta enough
The fact the hands of inferno take the Affinitys and other like that when they are ready to dead make sense and is cool. I've never understand why just seven angels are taked to the inferno in the game if the protagonist is an "inferno warrior"

The changing music in Bayo 1 was sorely missed in Bayo 2 which chose to play Tomorrow is Mine for every battle and only play the sweet-ass Moon River Climax once at the beginning and once at the end. They could have had Moon River play during all the battles with Loki to play on the 'two drifters' reference a bit more.
The beta’s UI reminds me a lot of Viewtiful Joe’s UI, which isn’t a bad thing. I’m really looking forward to Bayonetta 3 and all the crazy shit that it has for us.
In retrospect, wish they continued this methodology for Bayo's development, or, at least, started reincorporating the ideas for future titles if that was possible now
Better one is how the VFX works in Viewtiful Joe. Same director so you can see why i picked Viewtiful Joe. This is far more like that game in a few small ways with how it works.
That was literally the first gameplay concept prototype. It looks like that cause it was made in like 1 afternoon, with the least possible effort just to have a feel on what direction the game would be going.

Games are mostly complete by the time they reach beta. Beta is basically refining and bug testing... what we get now on day 1 release date xD.

This is how good games are made. Focus on the primary gameplay loop. The story and look should serve that first and everything else second.

She still has "automated" attacks, they have no indication until you're actually doing. They're called "Punish" attacks.
