@@RiderCamTV Thanks! I'm not a 1250 owner. I just rode one a few times (thanks God!)... Due to my budget a brand new 850 GSA is the best bike I can have on my list. But till than I'll enjoy my Honda NC 750 X ! Tanks for this video once again! -::)))
Pick my new GSA1250 up next week. I’ve done 30k miles plus on my 1200 adventure and it’s been to 22 countries, I’m really looking forward to the 1250. Mines a triple black with gold wheels
Congratulations Toby, you video arrived just on time, I ordered mine yesterday, same specification plus SOS :) now I need to wait 1 month to be build and delivery. In the meantime I will enjoy your videos, safe ride and happy new bike day. Cheers
Good to see you're so pleased with it👍👍 I've had my 1250GSA since March 2020, and just love it. 7900 miles so far 😁. Such a capable machine. Enjoy and good luck👍🤞
Great video. I've moved up from a 2008 gsa to a new 1250 in the last month and the difference is incredible, seat you sit on 3.5 hours no problem, gearbox totally different, I could continue but you know what I'm saying, smile all the way, (got the cheaper China fender extender no problems) enjoy the new bike 👍
fab stuff buddy... they are incredible indeed.... cheaper fender extender is exactly the same as the expensive one by the looks of it, oh except that huge price tag of course..... enjoy your ride matey..... ride safe
This is an incredibly comfortable and easy to handle touring bike ( off-road too as long as it is not too extreme) . I finally bought the triple black gs after years riding the ˋR´ series. I couldn’t believe the bigger bike is easier to flick and smooths out the road with its incredible suspension , making it a trusted and fun companion. The torque is incredible and has more than enough power to put big grins on your face, I just fell in love with it. At 5ˋ7 , the bike does seem imposing, but i did order it with lowered suspension. By the way, you can choose 4 different types or modes for the engine mapping. I have road, dynamic, rain and enduro. Eco seems unnecessary since the display tells you to shift when necessary. Good luck and safe riding. Enjoy the feeling of having a new bike!!
Great vid lads but your getting it wrong. You get about 7 mode settings but you have to choose and configure them yourself, Dynamic and dynamic pro are in there but you need to select them through the settings and you don't need to wait until first service. You can only run 4 settings so you need to choose the ones you want. Done 4000 mile on mine in the last 8 weeks and loving it.
You can only have 4 modes at a time, you pre select the ones you want from the setup menu, this is where you will find Dynamic and Dynamic pro and Enduro pro. I have same model and year, enjoy mate.
Cracking video, loved the banter, just waiting to pick my triple black up now, highlighted some things I wasn’t aware of too, great channel guys keep it up😃
👍🏻Enjoy your new machine. Great walk around. You don't need the SOS button the newer mobile phones have them built in, phone in your pocket or on the bike will do the same job. Google phone
Nice review and nice bike. The fact the quickshifter works so good right now is that BMW put's 15W40 mineral oil in a brand new bike, after the 600 mile sevice they will put 5W40 full synthetic oil in and because of that the first gear clunk will be harder, and the quickshifter will be a tad tougher. At least that's my experience after 5 new BMW boxer wetheads. Have fun and stay safe!!
1970’s bedroom noises. I’m busting. 😂 Your bike looks amazing. Triple Black is on point. The 21 BMW R1250 GSA sets another benchmark in Adventure bikes. These bikes are used more on the super slab I’d also like to see a real horn, why does a BMW need a Denali Sound Bomb? An Electric windscreen and Backlit Handlebar Switches for night riding. These are premium bikes. Put these items in the Option 719 package. Question: What Klim jacket Is that? A Badlands Pro, Kodiak or Latitude? What Boots?
Congrats on the new bike Toby :) My HGV has a semi-auto gearbox where the clutch is used for 1st & reverse but its an auto from then on. I'd like that feature on a bike it keeps the clutch control at low speed and gets rid of a 2nd>6th selector. I agree about the rear fog light, it's not much of an ask for an adventure bike, Ride safe..

Moved up to a 2019 GSA 1250 Exclusive from two previous GS TEs, so much better, looks like the 2021 is tweaked in all the right places. Only real criticism of mine is that my gearbox is still a bit clunky despite the pro shift. Thought about something smaller but I’ve fitted so many extras🤣🤨, took me two hours to remove them from my last one.😂
Have said this before, I very much enjoy your brand of banter, humour and presentation. Whilst you do do reviews and in doing so point out the positive and negatives of bikes, it would be nice to know what issues, if any of course, you both have encountered over here or abroad with your bikes; particularly so as you both travel far more miles in a year than the average biker. BMW fairly or perhaps unfairly, has a reputation for unreliable bikes and poorer than Japanese made motorcycles build quality. I would find it most interesting to watch what you might have to say.
This GS bike from BMW just ticks all the box's, I have the 1250 TE purchased in May this year, listening to your great review I'm wondering whether I should have opted for the Adventure?! I think it will be on the cards, the standard GS is awesome, I think with the bigger tank & starting to tour the Adventure will be perfect for me too. Incidentally last week whilst on hols I hired a GS 1250 19' model in Rhodes for a day, this spec although 2 years old still performed fantastic, its testament to BMW for such a magnificent designed bike that still keeps improving! PS I've posted the Rhodes tour on my channel too, at one point I was inches away from the edge of a cliff! Keep up the great work guys.
I thought the R1250 GS TE was pretty incredible, this is even better with that 30 litre tank. My R80GS had a 32 litre tank. Self sealing tanks in the tyres might make all the difference.
Congratulations! Beautiful bike. How does the ride on this new one compare to the (2017) 1200 GSA Low chassis you were riding in another video? I'm a 32 inch inseam and am torn between purchasing the standard 1250 GSA or the 1250 Low GSA. Cheers!
Buy the standard bike you will soon get used to it and only be disappointed if you get the lowered version. I’m a 32 and have never struggled and I’ve had five GSA’s. Ride safe
Congrats on the new bike. They've nicked the heating system from the RT...and it's about time. Not too sure about those integrated brake/indicator lights, i prefer them to be separate like on my 2019 GS1250. You need to get a lens protector now for the front light cluster. If you ever get a chance can you review the Guzzi V85 TT Travel 850, i ask because if i need to get a smaller bike but still have shaft drive this is the one..and of course it looks good.
Thanks for your videos and time Heads up Mark,Toby check out the new Spanish speed limits probably best to bring push bike on tour lol Regards Tony Knowler 🏍️ FJR from Spain.
While the front is the same, the rear Light set up is different in the US. The center one is still the main light source and the break lights, The smaller ones are the turn signals only.
Congrats on the new bike, it's lovely, and pleased to see you do not mind talking about the cheaper alternatives to Wunderlich and Touratech. Have just picked up a 2019 GS Adventure 1250, so I know your feeling of loving your new bike. Ride safe

Nice bike Toby. Lucky you didn’t by an RT. They have improved them so much but let down by useless Sat Nav arrangement and dipped headlamp is like a torch taped to the front mudguard.
@@RiderCamTV Hi Toby. Just out of hospital, a fingers crossed job. Yes I have had a spend up. Cashed in my 2019 GSA and have a yellow and black GSA. I have ridden it 20 miles and been laid up ever since. It’s like an old comfy pair of slippers. Traded a 1250RS in against an RT. Bike in its self is fab but sat nav is utterly hopeless and the high tech headlight is like a 6 volt bulb. Had them from North Oxford Garage. My second nearest dealer. I fell out with Ocean over a car. It’s incredible how good the Plymouth bike section was and how awful the car dept was. Also I got on very well with Martin Pullen. I have returned the RT as not of merchantable quality and not fit for purpose. Watch this space! I’m still booked in with Magellan to go to Morocco looks like 2022 God willing now. All the best John.
Nice one Toby. I'm on my 3rd (normal) GS TE so know what you mean. Oh and the right angled tyre valves? Had them on all 3 of my GS's since 2015 with the cast wheels and they're great.
I just picked my 1250 triple black te std gs came from a 2017 rallye and totally concur with what you said just brilliant, though Datatool took £109.00 off me to register the tracker so tele call to be made. Health to ride !.
Will be my next bike, my only concern with the rear running lights is, when you indicate the indicator is nice and bright, however the indicator seems to overpowered and loose their effect when break lights activated. 🙄
I secretly love my Klim gear.... haven't used Rukka for a few years and we both now have BMW Enduroguard suits. Rukka is great but expensive too and the guarantee isn't as good as they say it is (as Mark found out)
Nicely done. I was looking for such a good video as I also am looking to this same BMW. May I take the opportunity to ask if it is the lowered version or the standard one? I recall your video about the lowered 1200 version you tried where you thought you would might have some arguments for going for a lowered one.
Very lucky indeed. Congratulations! Marks baby gs will always have a special place in my heart. Love the colour scheme. My current daily ride is 22 years old i doubt i'll ever be lucky enough to own a bike like this. Congrats again 👍
Great video. I respect everything you said. I am 74. Just spent three months doing mountain passes in Europe on Yamaha Tenere 700. On some very difficult tight unpaved roads in which I was several times surprised by a bad driver coming the other way at really acute badly paved or unpaved switchbacks or emerging from a tunnel at a turn where I was forced to stop suddenly or divert off the road and I don’t think I’m strong enough with a 30” inseam to handle a bike that large and heavy in these slow situations. Yet. I’d love it on the highway. I’d appreciate your reaction. I was 6 feet. But am now 5’ 9 3/4” I was just told by a doctor. My upper body strength is still okay but my leg strength is really not. I would appreciate your thoughts because I cannot take my T700 back to the states and I am going to finally stop riding my 1980 R100S and get a modern bike. I fell in love with the T700 but it is not a bike for American roads. I do not do off-road riding except as necessary.
get what you mean, although even though its a heavy bike, the weight is low down and the balance of the machine is incredible... its not that heavy when your on it.
Looks great. Love the triple black. Mine came with anakee adventure tyres. What setting do you have the suspension on.... I’m trying min as I find auto a bit too high and I’m 5’10”.
yeah I was kind of too, but I guess it may follow in the future or perhaps they haven't as off roaders may not like it, personally I like separate devices as then you dont have to use BMW apps on your phone all the time... :)
I do like the video quite a lot! Sub'd and T-up a long time ago. I was wondering why you chose the GSA over the GS? One can add crash bars, lights etc to the GS. One can also carry fuel on the back ( MANY different ways) for those times when fuel stations are few and far between. I guess what I am saying, why carry all the extra weight when it's not needed on a daily basis? I am torn between the GSA and GS. I have 250,000 street miles, a few track days, etc on previous GS's. Before 2020, the GSA's did not seem to ride as "good" as the GS. I did test ride a 2020 GSA 1250and I loved it. An Incredible achievement in motorcycle history! Its just that now after 50+ yrs of riding ( mostly GS's),I find the GSA is tall for my old worn out body. So the question is, if petrol stations were never an issue, would you consider a GS? Thanks again for the video. Well done!
hey buddy. I chose the GSA over the GS as to be honest I like the look more.. the GS to me looks too skinny and if its missing something.... the extra weight is not a problem but the range of the tank is for me... love the GSA :)
yeah I was really supposed, but apparently in the UK alarm and Tracker are standard for some reason... and the first year of subs for the tracker too... :)
The trakker came on mine and is useless because if I leave the bike for more than 4 days it runs the battery flat, do that a few times and it needs a new battery. Did 220 mile last Saturday, started today stopped 20 miles up the road and wouldn't start again, will insist the trakker is removed at the 6000 mile service because this is becoming the most unreliable bike I've owned in 45 years of biking.
You might want to check with the dealer, they had a bad batch of batteries. Mine would start, stop it to shut garage door then no start. Replaced under warranty. 2019 1250 rally TE has gone 2 weeks without riding or charging and starts ok.
Standard height, and keeping the weight off if down to lots of things... mainly work! hahaha, thanks for saying though as I thought id put it on.... eek!

Marks baby gs will always have a special place in my heart. Love the colour scheme.
My current daily ride is 22 years old i doubt i'll ever be lucky enough to own a bike like this.
Congrats again 👍
Awesome motorcycle, congratulations!
Watching this again...we got Brembos in North American the recall...you lot?
Great vid again fellas. Get mine later this month. One thing that makes me laugh is I bought 90 degree tire adapter thingys!!!! Doh.
Same happened to me 😂😂😂
enjoy your ride Kieron, they are incredible machines..
Awesome review guys! subbed stay amazing and safe
Nice vid Toby, still no back lit controls?
Nice ride, Toby! Let's hope it gets to see some EU roads in the not too distant future
Congratulations on the new bike. Makes my 2016 GSA seem antiquated.
I hope so... im missing my Spanish Sunshine, open empty roads fix! hopefully soon
the 2016 GSA is awesome too ;)
Hello Toby, where did you purchase the tinted hand guard extenders from exactly as I’m wanting a set
Cheers Carl
Hi Carl it’s Mark, try this link to Nippy Normans. www.nippynormans.com/search?q=R1250gsa+tinted+hand+guards
Looks great. Love the triple black. Mine came with anakee adventure tyres. What setting do you have the suspension on.... I’m trying min as I find auto a bit too high and I’m 5’10”.
I found Auto a big high on my 2018 bike bug I did get used to it, I’m also 5’10”. Ride safe
I'm a bit surprised the GPS isn't built into the display like the new RT
yeah I was kind of too, but I guess it may follow in the future or perhaps they haven't as off roaders may not like it, personally I like separate devices as then you dont have to use BMW apps on your phone all the time... :)
What type of jacket is that he has with the leather on elbows, and shoulders?
thanks
It’s a Klim. Ride safe
@@markholroyd5365 Thanks Mark
That fender extender keeps falling off, that's very right. Useless fender extender.
Very funny to hear you both discussing :)
Like watching the chuckle brothers 🙈
5 minutes in and still haven’t had a full image of the cycle. Great shots of the trees in the background though.
followed by whole lot of sniffling and nasal noise, a toddler with head cold who can't be bother to use a tissue
Lovely bike,, and a stunning No Parking sign to match😂
we purposely go there now just to be rebels.... hahahahaha
Wha tracker...was that the dealer who kicked in for that...not a chance her in Canada.
yeah I was really supposed, but apparently in the UK alarm and Tracker are standard for some reason... and the first year of subs for the tracker too... :)
It's a great motorbike enjoy the ride 😉😎
thanks buddy
How’s the wind protection compared to the RT?
Love mine too !!
Well now, I was on my way to ordering the RT my mind was made up, called the dealership and see this video lol
excellent video gents... thx
is this bike really that much better then the Triumph ?
I think its a subjective view as always, but for me yep! :) Ride safe
Don't think the camera man likes the bike he'd rather video the trees than the bike 😂
and the sound guy took the day off
What does the TE stand for?
Top end? It is a BMW… ha! Ride safe.
Touring Edition
Did you consider having the bike protected with coating or plastic film?
Keep flying the flag.
Have a better day on a GSA😁
always
My GSA Rallye has benefitted greatly from many an add on item you have recommended.
Got your mug. Enjoying a brew with you guys now👍
theres 7 setting eco, rain road.dynamic/dynamic pro ,enduro ,enduro pro
What makes the r1250 gsa BMW a TE version? The Nav prep?
there is an interesting article here that may explain it www.tvam.org/blog/2023/01/15/2022-bmw-r1250gs-te-review/
The trakker came on mine and is useless because if I leave the bike for more than 4 days it runs the battery flat, do that a few times and it needs a new battery. Did 220 mile last Saturday, started today stopped 20 miles up the road and wouldn't start again, will insist the trakker is removed at the 6000 mile service because this is becoming the most unreliable bike I've owned in 45 years of biking.
great point
You might want to check with the dealer, they had a bad batch of batteries. Mine would start, stop it to shut garage door then no start. Replaced under warranty. 2019 1250 rally TE has gone 2 weeks without riding or charging and starts ok.
great point Glenn and thanks for sharing.. ill keep an eye on mine
ngl my left ear liked this
Forgive me. Is this the Lowered or Standard? Also, how do you keep the weight off??? There must be a woman/women involved.
It’s a standard height bike. Ride safe
Standard height, and keeping the weight off if down to lots of things... mainly work! hahaha, thanks for saying though as I thought id put it on.... eek!
Hello everyone I have quick question someone looking gps tracker no monthly payment completely one payment no additional cost.

Ha. Hot Bottom Feels Like You’ll Have Piles.
Is too heavy, is much better the standard model.
😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦congrats
your voice is so poor ..improve the mic dude
Well, if you want to save money, don’t ride this bike. I did, and bought one, lol
The camera man does not like the bike... it cannot been seen in this video
I think your friend, should work the camera and not talk he spoiles your videos 🙂
