I love that someone still holds a 2008 GSXR1000 so near and dear to their heart and they’re not bitching they don’t have the latest $40k, 230hp “rocket”. A fully upgraded ‘08 GSXR1k is WAY cooler than a stock M1000RR or whatever with a Moore Mafia tune and GP exhaust. I’ll take my max modded 2014 GSXR1000 any day…
Welcome back! Cool to see the “non-enthusiast” Versa. Would be interested in a budget commuter video, how it’s been, etc. Lots of enthusiasts like me enjoy having a beater or no-nonsense car for the boring driving and save their enthusiast cars for fun stuff
These are fantastic bikes-I’ve had mine since new in 2005, and have added other new bikes to the garage since. I thought getting an R1M would make me lose interest in the GSXR, but it has only made me want to improve it a little here and there. Definitely look at a GripOne traction control unit before they aren’t available anymore if you are interested, the Bazzaz unit is what I went with and they are pretty crude and not made anymore. The bike handles better with a 3mm shim under the shock, and getting the ECU flashed at Kyle racing was the best $75 I ever spent on a bike. Have fun!
Black anodization also turns that color when it gets really hot. I'm guessing something happened either with the stator or the regulator and the stator overheated.

It’s also scary how close your 08 runs to my 14 with modifications and cool stuff that you just don’t see these days on these bikes.

You have excellent taste!

Just needs a TTS supercharger kit now!
I'd get rid of those Michilen high sides in favor of some Dunlop Q5 or Supercorsas.and run 31f 29r psi
agreed!!!
Glad you uploaded! Is there going to be a video series on your Tacoma you picked up last year (or maybe 2 years ago)?
I'm afraid not. I sold it because the frame was a little too rusty for my liking. I'm keeping an eye out for another though!
I’ve got a 2020 GSXR 1000
Could you help me out to get beautiful aftermarket parts for my bike as well?
What happened to the multistrada?
I sold it a couple years ago. In fact, I think it's for sale again in the Kansas City area on FB Marketplace.
