In response to your question a bit back about JUST DESSERTS...we are (as we speak) editing all of the recorded/video solos from JD in the EASY and MEDIUM categories. We should have some available soon! The ADVANCED solos will come a little later. Enjoy!
We started picking solos in percussion class today today for solo and ensemble night and my assistant band director said he thinks I can do something in the medium category. He suggested this one. I'll try to pull it off!
Excellent! This was one of the very first solos I wrote for The Rudimental Cookbook and is one of my faves! Have fun working on the solo...and I wish you very well in your performance! If you would like me to eval your preparation for your concert, send me a vid sometime of you playing the piece and I will give some helpful comments. Enjoy!

Would you please explain the counting of measure 16? I have it written out as two 16th note doubles followed by six 16th note triplets followed by two more 16th note doubles. I wrote the counting out as 1 e + ol ee 2 ol ee + a. If that even makes sense, could you tell me if I'm on the right track?
Sorry about the delay in my response...just saw this post! My counting would be...1 e - & o let - 2 o let - & ah. Some would count it as 1 e - & ta ta - 2 ta ta - & ah. Either is correct.

At the end of each solo where the rudiments contained are they listed in the order they can be found in the solo?
Yes...they should be listed in the order that they first appear in the solo.
