you need to get your self a little bale trailer or low loader to help cart the bales in but you could also use it to move bags of fert

The Kuhn did a good job! For me, haymaking must include a Ford tractor as that is what I grew up with. Aside from the equipment, that 10 acre field looked absolutely beautiful from the drone. The wild flowers in the grass really epitomised what a meadow should look like really.

Used to run pz mowers back in the day… did a great job and needed little hp to drive them… you could fair zip along…. I’m sure you’ll go faster as ya get used to it… 👍🏻👍🏻🚜

Looking good we run a sip 185 drum mower looks very similar to the kuhn the ford seems to be running it very well plenty of power could probably even go faster just don't hit a bump to hard and break a drop arm on the mower side.
Years ago we had Massey 70 drum mower and it was indestructible, I never liked the disc mower we got after and would use a drum one if ever I was to do it again, that Kuhn is same

Good video Nick 👍 havin so many buttercups in the grass makes the hay a little bit bitter🙄 if the field gonna be in grass for a while might be an idea throw some lime on it , great tractor and mower 💪👍

One of the best jobs on the farm mowing used a pz Kuhn mower in the 80s dosent seem to have changed much Hay will take a bit longer to make without conditioner but will be more weather resistant if the dreaded rain arrives excellent 👍

Hi nick good video. Raise your hydraulic arms a little bit when mowing will stop that little raised edge that you are leaving sometimes.

Disc mower is far easier ran than a drum mower we changed over a few years ago and we’ll never go back

nothing wrong with a drum mower. If i look around our area and compare fields that had heavy crops on it (late mowed cuz of wet May) and were mowed by a disc mower to our fields which were also heavy cropped and mowed with our 26yr old drum mower, than I find the result after harvest better on the drum mower. Downside to drum mowers is that they need more HP and are a bit heavier.
Do you plan on restoring the 7710 or any of your tractors
Mowed too many acres with a drum mower. You want to swing up the transport lock on the floating mechanism, see it was down at 4.34 then you put the link so the slider is in the middle of the slot. But it still looked to be cutting well.
great video nick once again. the ford and new mower really look good together. i notice the rev counter has a mind of its own. do you judge the pto speed by ear ?????
So it works at the start of the day for about half an hour and then decides it doesn’t want to, but will kick in again later on, very strange! And yes I judge it by ear when it’s not working 👍

It’s a meadow grass, has stuff like red clover in it, all perfectly fine for feed and very palatable 👍

these old hay meadows and the diversity of plants they bring are vital for the environment... devastated in Ireland by the broad spectrum spraying of herbicide for the dairy industry... fair play to farmers who make allowance like this for wildlife
