in Pattya will always flood in certain areas Jomtein it rains but never a problem great place love it here indeed and clean.

That was some serious rain this arvo mate,lucky I had already been out for a walk.
i got stuck in soi buakhao earlier when it was heavy.
Amazing Thailand. Only took like 2-3 years to complete a couple hundred meters at most of road construction in Soi 15. Good to see it finally done though! :)

Good to see you back on the horse, Joe. I got pinned in TreeTown today during the rain. Buakhao wasn't knee-deep in water, but it was only a quick shower. Real test comes after proper 2 hour downpour.
Im looking for long-term condo right now- viewed several. Supposed to be low season, but there's nothing decent around 50-60sqm for less than 25k, and many condo owners insisting on 12 month contract.

@kal77uk Yes, I'm in SEA, but I'm not a fortnight millionaire. Been there, done that. I could easily rent a penthouse at 60k per month, but I'm likely to live for another 30 years. I retired at 56. Slightly different when you live here...

Pattaya is quite different to the rest of Thailand in terms of weather it rains a lot less in the wet season but you can get a downpour any time of the year .
