The rear nut should be 2 pieces…This one piece will loosen. It happen to me 2 times damaged my wheel.Ducati tech gave me the information..

Nice work Jaret - huge un-sprung weight reduction and huge gains in visual appeal. The great sound and the bluing in of the new pipes is worth the change, and arguably the greatest aspect of the V2 is its agility and rideability. You may have trouble - if Christina changes her mind (and who could blame her if she did?), you may have to do it all again.

My S1000RR came with carbon wheels from the factory but you constantly have to be careful with them on rough roads and then as you say there is the hassle of changing the tyres and worrying they will get scratched or if anybody will do it for you etc. Also while 5 pounds of weight saving seems great (I assume it would be almost 10 pounds including the front) that's a fair chunk of weight to knock off and I wonder could that possibly throw the suspension and whole design of the bike seeing as it was designed for the cast wheels. Change just for change sake or to provide content does not always equate to better - but I guess you learned that the hard way with the exhaust.
nah removing unsprung weight from a bike doesn't hurt anything :)

Have you ever looked at any colored carbon? I've liked the concept but haven't really seen any of it out in the wild and am curious about the quality. Build is awesome by the way. Keep it up
We've done these wheels in the red carbon tint and its cool but I still prefer the raw carbon look

Just a heads-up Jaret: tyre pressures should be 36psi back and front according to the Ducati Manual.
Yeah I just checked my phone where I keep the tyre pressures of all my bikes stored and yes its 36psi front and rear?

Its the one bike I ever had that has no sticker on it showing the tyre pressures / chain tension limits etc - or if there is I could never find it.

The entire point of these builds is to do over the top dream bikes. They are actually community funded by our patreon site which is why we give them away back to a member of that community when they are done.
