This guy is so real! He is experiencing the true magic of Disney.
In 2007 when our daughter was 5, we went to Disney World and we were supposed to stay at Animal Kingdom. I got a call a week before telling us we were moved to Wilderness Lodge so that was disappointing, but the Lodge was a good place to stay too. The best part of the trip was watching our daughter be amazed at everything Disney World has to offer so it brought back memories listening to your daughter. We were fortunate enough to go to Disney Paris in 2018 and are going to Disneyland this June. We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel but my wife and daughter think we're staying offsite. It's a surprise for our 20th wedding anniversary and daughter's 21st birthday so shhh haha! Three parks down so maybe we'll need to add the Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong parks to our family vacation bucket list!
That is absolutely amazing! I hope you get to visit the final 3 Disney parks with your family. You should also try to do a Disney cruise if you haven’t already. 😊 Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to your daughter! I’m sure your trip will be amazing. 😊🎉
A surprise on property stay, how amazing!!! I love fun surprises. Cheers to your celebrations!
Stumbled across this video while prepping for our next trip. Really enjoyed it! The wonder and gratitude in David’s voice as he’s walking through the savannah is lovely to hear!
Sophia's sweet little voice saying "Hi Zebra!" is beyond adorable!
The thatched roofs of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, were made by craftsman brought over from Africa.
1:10 "Yes David. Have fun on the stairs. I'll just be stuck here with the stroller."
This is a great video. I appreciate that you show many views that some of the other tour/ walk thru videos do not show.
FreshBaked. David, Liz, Sofia. We all know when Disney does something properly without cutting budgets and let's the Imagineers do what they were put on this planet to do. The results are amazing. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Sophia and her "Hi Zebra!" and her laughs of joy are so cute!! Thanks for bringing us along! This is where I want to stay whenever I get down there.
13:46 Wild Liz is hilarious! 😄What a fun coverage this whole video is. Thanks David!
Animal Kingdom Lodge was Awesome! Seeing Lovely Liz and Beautiful Sophie having so much Fun was Delightful 😊 I truly enjoyed your voice almost becoming a whisper as you described the entrance.. I'm so pleased that you had a Marvelous Getaway If anyone deserved a A special vacation it's you David and Liz Memories will last Forever ❤️
Omg… “Zebra has entered the chat” … that was hilarious. I paused it and rewound it to make my husband come upstairs to hear that part. Hahaha!
I really appreciate your sincere and uncontrollable giddiness about how cool this resort is. I felt the same way when I stayed here in 2022 after avoiding resort spoilers to the greatest extent possible. It's an amazing place, especially when you're exploring it for the first time.
This and wilderness lodge top of the bucketlist
Need to include 1 whole day just to resort hop. So much to explore and see. I have loved all these vlogs you've posted of WDW. I hope you all return soon.
I think Animal Kingdom Lodge would be my choice of any of the deluxe resorts. It looks gorgeous and I love all the animals!
We always get a Savannah room as it's so close to the animals. The bread service is the best
So funny to see her run with her little rubber arms. Best part of the video. Sorry, David -- you're great too!
Great video! Thank you so much! This place looks amazing! I’m glad you’re going back to WDW!!
Disney world outdoes itself with their resorts. I've stayed in 4 different ones, and each have been impressive in their own way.
The bread looks like Navajo fry bread. Now I'll have to try it next time I'm over there to compare.
We love AKL we usually rent DVC points there
It’s a lovely place to stay but the rooms are dark
Boardwalk have such nice bright rooms and I love walking to EPCOT
Glad you liked it. It's a great place. I love wilderness lodge the best. It's just amazing. Glad to hear you're coming back in April!
Lovely, The Wild Kingdom~
Thank you!! Great video and looking forward to you visiting WDW more often. We are taking my granddaughter in December for her first visit.
Just beautiful!
I had the pleasure of staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge during my WDW trip in 2011. It’s by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Would highly recommend for anyone who has the means, or at least take a detour to check it out. You can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants
Looks amazing! We were gonna stay here on our upcoming trip, but decided to save some money and stay at Port Orleans.
We will be staying here in December for 3 nights. We have a Savannah view also. So so excited. We will be there for almost 3 weeks total and I haven’t been for 15 years so it’s been a bit.
Such a beautiful hotel. ❤ I stayed there just before quarantine and fell in love with the entire atmosphere of it.
So glad you loved AKL! We stayed at kidani in a savanna view room and it’s now our favorite resort.
As many times I've gone to WDW I have never seen the resorts in person .lol I just drive home when I leave the parks
This was incredible! My favorite hotel is Boulder Ridge Villas at Wilderness Lodge! Can’t wait for your April trip!
This is the best and most unique resort in any Disney Park! It's my family's absolute favorite, and worth every penny! If you are going to do this, go through a DVC rental company. The rooms are bigger and it ends up being cheaper than paying rack rate, in my experience.
Your daughter is adorable 😊❤
Definitely need to save my pennies to come here. The theming and atmosphere are top notch!
Rent DVC points. Best way !
Just an absolutely gorgeous hotel. I am always looking for a reason to go back
David when in April? I'm going on my monthly visit on Saturday April 29th to ride Tron on my birthday
We were there (Kadani) at the same time and wish I would have known. We would have loved to have met you! Liz, we use the same diaper bag 😂 Mom life ❤
Just divine!
The hotel and environs were gorgeous and Liz And Sofia and you were making great memories. Tough to go from the deluxe animal kingdom lodge to a value resort but I’m sure with your upbeat attitude you’ll have a great time there too. I had reservations at mk for the tron opening on April 3 and Hollywood studios on April 4 but got a shock about room availability.
I usually stay at swan or dolphin which are walking distance to HS and Epcot for about $350 a night, but which count as deluxe hotels for extra 2 hours late nights at Epcot on most mondays and MK on most wednesdays. Unfortunately for tron opening the same rooms were running over $1700 before taxes for same rooms. Guess I’ll be waiting for tron!
Great video, makes me want to book a trip. I’ve never been to WDW.
This makes me want to fulfill my life long dream of getting the big five. Holy smokes this makes me want to go hunting/ preserving the animals. Beautiful.
been waiting for this since the impromptu night report. this hotel is one cool
mode of transportation (skyliner via AK to CORONADO
or boat to AK) from being the best property at WDW
I think you are a little mixed up on the transportation. The skyliner goes from HS to Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Epcot. The skyliner doesn't go to AK or Coronado Springs and neither do any of the boats. You can however ride the busses.
That looks so beautiful. I can’t afford it but I wish I could
we didn’t stay at animal kingdom lodge, but had dinner at sanaa and it is amazing!
Aaawwweeeee "Hi Zebra!!" How cute is that🖤🖤🖤🖤 this place looks amazing I have always wanted to stay there and if I ever go I will definitely be staying there thank you for this video untill then🖤🖤🖤🖤 Jerry is very stoic and majestic indeed. Something about watching him walk was just so beautiful🖤🖤 Wonderful texture there.
My favorite resort. I hope you tried their naan bread!
Since you like the AK Lodge so much, some day you should check out the Disney Explorers Lodge at Hong Kong DL - it is a great hotel and very similar in layout/concept
Did you guys go out to see the Savannah at night too with the night vision binoculars? I did that when I was there and it was so cool
Hey Fresh Baked!!
I haven't been to DL yet, but WDW is very good with theming!!
Well, that's something I didn't know before. When that giraffe started walking, something seemed off about it. Then I figured it out -- it was walking like a camel, not a horse. In other words, it moves both legs on the right side, and then both legs on the left side. A horse moves the foreleg on the right and the hind leg on the left, and then the foreleg on the left and the hind leg on the right. Zebra are fairly closely related to horses, and they walk like them.
You've convinced me that the day I can get my wife to take me to WDW, we will be staying at AKL. Now, to just convince my wife we need to go...
Great video but man, I would’ve said so much more about Sanaa… It is beyond gourmet, a perfect blend of Indian and African flavors in perfectly prepared dishes. The breads are so perfectly soft and each one uniquely flavorful. The sauces for the bread service are not A1 sauce or “spicy ketchup”, no!!! They are each a super unique sauce, bursting with flavors like I’ve never tasted. The hummus and tzatziki are the only ones recognizable and they’re better than any I’ve had. The dishes are also like nothing I’ve ever encountered, so many layers of deliciousness, unique flavors! Disney hits it out of the park with their world-class chefs in many of their restaurants at Disney world, but especially at Sanaa.
$770 a night... Oh... my... goodness... It looks like an amazing resort, but holy smokes I'd end up paying more for that hotel room than I did for my whole family's park tickets. And its my understanding that Animal Kingdom is one of the cheaper Deluxe Resorts. Would you rather have 2 nights at Animal Kingdom or an Inspire Key which gives you a whole years access to the parks? I've always leaned towards staying at a cheaper hotel and extending my vacation by 3 or even 4 more days. 2 nights at Animal Kingdom vs 6 nights at Pop Century, I'll take Pop Century. I know there are a lot of people where money is no object, but for me that is WAY too steep. SO glad you were able to score that hook up and have that great experience!
I guess it's simple supply and demand, obviously this hotel is full up or they wouldn't be getting away with charging that price. your hotel stay for one week would literally be about $6,000. That is just the hotel! factor in plane tickets and park tickets and you're looking at $10,000. Unreal how expensive disney hotels have become. We are mid to upper middle class and cant afford these prices!
Hi David, I love you
When you see things like Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge in person, you quickly realize that one of the biggest mistakes Disney has made recently is pissing off Joe Rohde enough to make him leave the company...
Heading back in April, ah? Sounds like you've been bitten by the WDW bug, lol! It's easy to have happen.
Hello FRESH BAKED
The hallways are too annoying. There isn't another way to get to the lobby. You have to run pretty quickly to get to the buses.
We fans complain about them raising ticket prices, and then we go pay $770 a night for their hotel... Somehow Disney convinces us normal people to take rich people vacations.
Liz sounded stressed in this video. Maybe stay home next time??
What in the hell has happened to the price of Disney hotels?!? The Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna view rooms used to average between 300 and 350 a night, now they have more than doubled that price. How is Disney justifying the price they are charging for these rooms? Is it simply supply-and-demand?? Or is it blatant price gouging
Still cheaper than deluxe at DL. Tried to book grand cal in November last year. 900+ per night for a regular room!! Makes AKL seem
Like a bargain. I draw the line at 600, and even then that was a one time thing. We bought DVC to combat it.
@@TheDupresdoDisney it felt like too much at $350. But doable. Its shocking there are that many people willing to spend $750 or $900 a night. You aren’t even in your room that much! If I’m gonna spend 10K on a vacation, it sure as hell ain’t gonna be to Disney world. I literally draw the line at around 4K. And I think most people feel the same. Who are these people spending 10K or 12K on a Disney world vacation?!? And this is before food and merch! Add another 3K. Would love to talk to them.
@@thebluetarp hear you 100.%. It’s insane to go into debt for a vacation. Only reason we do it is because we have AP’s, own DVC and have learned how to work those airline points do we never pay for flights. Cash prices for deluxe resorts are nuts. Better off buying DVC resale. Use it how you want then sell it later and get your money back.
@@thebluetarp I don't know who they are either. We did the math, and decided to buy a DVC resale contract, and it basically equates to POP prices for Deluxe resorts. We decided we will use it until we're done and sell it and get our money back. Bought in 2020 and it has already appreciated. If not for that, we definitely wouldn't be going much. I'm not paying a mortgage payment for one night in a hotel, anywhere! I only paid over 500/night at Grand Cal as it was a post covid, promised my son we'd do it victory lap, coast to coast parks in one trip. We only spent 3 nights there, and probably never will again. The thing is, the hotels are full, so they will charges these rates as long as that continues.
