HATARI LABS: Gracias mil por la presentación. Son de mucha utilidad por los técnicos de campo. XATAPИ ЛАБС : Большое спасибо за презентацию. Они очень полезны для специалистов по наукам о Земле.
The value of Kx for the aquitards (Layer2, Layer 4) do not matter as the flow (fllux) in the x and y directions are negligible (as it is an aquitard and Kh is very low). This is why those laters were set to non-simulated, which means only the z component through those layers is included in the model's formulas. Flow in the z direction does matter, however, which is why the Kz values used in the tutorial were not made up (1000 was just some number to use as a placeholder)
Having reached the 6.46 mark, I have no ability to change my layer groups. I've followed the steps exactly ,but the option is greyed out. What's wrong?
I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure this out? NEVERMIND: I literally figured this out like 2 minutes later. He's using MODFLOW-2005. We were both using MODFLOW 6 which does not allow non-simulated layers. My guess is because there is no perfect aquitard in nature; there's always going to be at least some groundwater leaking through (fractures, effective pore spaces, etc.)
Hi! I followed the entire process but the model keeps stopping saying the 'nam' file is an illegal option. I even try to run your Model1 file and still saying 'model1.nam' is illegal. Could you pls help me? thanks !

What the colourful lines are indicating us?
Muchísimas gracias!!
For me, Layer Type in the Layer Group window is grayed out and has to stay unconfined

Excellent.
