@@TheEvergreens Belgium (Bruges, Brussels and elsewhere) with day trips to Amsterdam and Dublin (found a crazy cheap flight!). And my first time international!
This was really great :). And I’m sitting here typing this from home. A place called Dublin. And I’m so proud of the fact that it’s the capital city of the first country in the world to legalize marriage for everyone following a vote of its people. And the fact that 15% of our citizens were born outside of Ireland, coming from every part of the globe, is pretty nifty ( good ). I recognized every cobble stone, and every blade of grass you walked on. And you were in Dublin Castle? 25, or so, years ago, I was sitting on a bench one summers day in the Castle. A man walked past. Dressed as a pirate. He said hello and I said hello. And with that, Morgan Freeman headed for a movie set.
Hi Kieron! Thanks so much for your message. We loved reading the story about Morgan Freeman! How cool is that. And so amazing that Ireland was the first country in the world to legalize marriage for everyone. Thanks for taking time to watch the video and comment. And if you are interested, I just uploaded one more Dublin vlog in case you'd like to check it out. Cheers! th-cam.com/video/bNDL9bTkruU/w-d-xo.html
How cool to have your picture on top of a glass of beer, haha! The fish & ship looks yummy! Lots of musics in the street, huh, congrats on your demo on the street. Cheers!
You two have a very relaxed style and I’m really enjoying your vlogs. Best of luck with your channel. I hope you enjoyed your time in Dublin and London.
First time watching and LOVED your video, We're coming over in Sept, so excited now !!! Where di you stay and where would you recommend. Cheers, Thanks, Kevin 🍀
Sitting in my living room clapping like an idiot, for Laurel singing Hall and Oats in the streets of Dublin. I can't wait to see some more great travel VLOGS.
I have to hand it to Ireland and it's phenomenal marketing successes - The Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar! For years I have advocated that tourists avoid them like the plaque! But even now I am reconsidering - your face on a pint, how cool is that? I'll have to go on my next visit! Whoever came up with that idea should get an award. And yet I grieve at the many other wonderful places they missed - actually probably walked past - the amazing Chester Beatty Museum behind Dublin Castle; the fabulous Marsh's Library ( a mini version of the Long Room at Trinity College); Dublin City Gallery (The Hugh Lane) with its amazing collection of Irish artists including the spectacular reconstructed studio of Francis Bacon; the former Irish parliament prior to the Act of Union, right across from the main entrance to Trinity College; the small but beautiful and oh so interesting Little Museum of Dublin right there on St. Stephen's Green. Other places they missed was the fantastic National Gallery of Ireland and the beautiful Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) housed in the historical building that was the Royal Hospital. Close by to IMMA is Kilmainham Gaol (yes, that's how we spell "jail") an amazing monument to Ireland's recent history. Croke Park, a modern historic stadium and a museum on all things GAA. Atmospheric Henrietta Street where Georgian Dublin was born with its tenement museum at No. 14. Not to mention the music venues (National Concert Hall) and numerous fabulous theaters and permanence spaces. And castles (yes, in Dublin) and fabulous hikes and walks. So come back ladies - lots of wonderful places to see, more than I can list here. And please tell me, that you are going to see more than the Titanic Belfast and Game of Thrones tour in NI. Please!
Ah yes...we know we missed SO many awesome sights on this trip. It was definitely a quick trip so with limited time, we did the more touristy things on our first visit. We can't wait to come back and explore more off the beaten path sights...those are always our favorite stops on trips. Thanks for all the good recommendations!!
I’m from ireland and I honestly don’t know anybody who’s been to the Guinness Storehouse. I’m sure Irish people do go there but it’s never occurred to me to go.
Totally get that! There's plenty of stuff where we live that locals never go to but tourists visit. I guess that's why tourist traps are for tourists :) But either way, we had a great time and enjoyed some good beers.
No tarter sauce . that was so cool you playing on the streets Laurel took a ride to Bedford yesterday Wanted to see the Buffalo they were way up on the hill but took some pictures check my page
The salt and vinegar taste so good you don’t even miss the tarter sauce 🤤 Seems like every time I drive past the buffalo in Bedford they’re way up on the hill too. We must have bad luck with it!
Missed these travel videos! I’m re-watching your Salem, MA and east coast vlogs. Thanks for the time and effort on them - they’re so fun to watch!

I don’t know why in typed that. I’m sure nobody wants to read my internal monologue 😄

That's awesome! Have a great time :) We plan to see Bushmills on our next trip over.
how many hrs from belfast to dublin
About 2 1/2 hours by train and under 2 hours driving.
It's a stout! Not a beer 😉 Loving your Dublin adventures, it is a beautiful town
ah yes...our bad ;)
A stout is a type of beer…
@@glassesaresocool it is indeed, I was just being silly!
Not been to Dublin since the 1970’s, honestly it was very rough
That's what we heard...it's a different place nowadays!
@@TheEvergreens I ought to give it a try, something of a tourist ( Hen Party) hot spot these days, the Brits seem to love it
How did you guys get euro coins?
ATM machines will give you bills and then we just spent money places and received coins back!
@@TheEvergreens thanks! I was curious how you got them for the bus at the airport :)
Is that an instrument you are carrying?
Yep! It’s a carry-on guitar. We used it throughout our trip. Videos will be coming soon. :)
@@TheEvergreens looking forward to it. I travel with my mandolin and have joined in on sessions while in Ireland, but that is my music thing.
@@tompurvis1261 that’s awesome!
Irish tourism board should throw you guys a few pound for promoting Ireland, well done, welcome back any time
Thanks so much for that!
come to Belfast next. Its a much better city but delighted that you enjoyed Dublin :-)
Never enough time to see everything! We'd love to make it back to Ireland.

Guinness tastes nicer in Ireland in my many experiences.
We can definitely agree after just one visit!
guinness storehouse not the best place to try guinness, gravediggers. bowes, tom kennedys all good spots
I'm sure all of those places are amazing! We did try Guinness at a few pubs as well and had great experiences.
why are you holding the fish like a sausage, cuterly is available in Ireland.
P.S
stay out of europe please
