Very nice Huck. I really enjoyed that Cedar Glenn camp every time I've been there. I had no clue that you could get such nice views of the city from that place at night. It seems so socked in. Glad you and David were able to get out. I miss Ice House Canyon but Lord knows that place is so full of people its hard to get out there without jockeying for a parking spot. I guess going in the evening is the ticket.
Dig the time-lapse! Always amazes me how many lights looking down at the Ontario area. Of all your hiking, have you ever had to worry about parking security (vandalism/theft)? That's what's been keeping me from going on overnight hikes.
Great overnighter Huck! I'll have to check out that spot. Were you able to park closer to the trail? All trails lists it about 5 miles in length but it seemed like you guys went about 3?

Spring is about 100 yards away from the camp.

Thanks! I have had a few times where I have been with people and they had their cars vandalized. Seems to happen the closer you are to major cities.

Depends which way you go up, but we parked at the ice house canyon trailhead.
