I love swatching pens and markers to see if they work. Don't worry Lydia, you aren't the only one with tons of markers lol.

This was fun! I love this and need to use my pens more for sure ! And I love the page you created ! It would make an amazing page folded into a journal or fun background cut up!

Thank you so much! I absolutely used it as a background on my journal page for the day! Too fun to waste!

I test all my pens every other year and get so much satisfaction from throwing out handfuls of pens (yes I accumulate that many (mainly ballpoint) pens! I haven't swatched markers in years, but only own one cup full.

So restrained in your markers! Hahah. It was really satisfying throwing out all those pens and having the space freed up is amazing!

I have tested my writing pens recently but I need to swatch my markers next. It is really nice to know I am not the only one with a lot of pens and markers, lol.

I have done this for my crayolas only since my other pens are daily work horses and get swapped out when their ink is gone (i swap pen ink into more comfy pen bodies of they fit). I am a rainbow girlie though and I have rainbow charts and labeled my markers in rainbow order🙈
Swear some of them are going on 10 years and they just won't bite the dust 😂
You're also so much more organized than me since I would have definitely dropped a handful of markers into that mug of coffee 😅
It's always lovely to hear your thought process, not ever a boring video round these parts. Thank you for sharing and taking us along this part of your delcuttering journey!

I am totally a marker/pen person! I swatch irregularly, if I find one pen in a certain set is deteriorating I'll whip through and check that particular set.
I do recommend you start keeping your markers the other way up, though. As they start drying up a bit what ink is left inside will go the way of gravity - towards the end that's pointing down. That's why your two cheaper double ended markers worked well on the fine end and not the brush end. You'll eke a little more life from them stored with your favourite end down. 😉

Mmmm! Good thought! I keep them that way up because the fine end is smaller and they fit better in the vessel that way up but I definitely see your point on that!
