BALI: HINDU TEMPLE CEREMONY (Pura Puseh Temple, Ubud, Bali) (1080P HD)

Balinese Temple Ceremony - Pura Puseh Temple, Ubud, Bali (2013)
This 10 day ceremony was held to commemorate the rebuilding and reopening of this Hindu Temple in Ubud, Bali.
During this time, many people came to the temple for prayers and to have their offerings blessed by the High Priests.
As part of the ceremonies many Balinese dances and traditional plays were performed during the day and in the evenings by both children and young adults from the local community.
Special performances were also provided by other communities from within Bali. Of particular note was a friendly competition between the Town of Ubud and Denpasar (the capital of Bali).
Female Gamelan Orchestras from both communities appeared on the same stage together and took turns playing original gamelan scores while their respective dance groups performed.
Many of these dances involved very young girls and you can easily see the skills and poise that they already possess.
The last day had a street procession with effigies being carried by groups of young men to other temples in the vicinity of Ubud.
