A wise man once said, "You can never have too many keyboards." I tend to agree! I have just two: a Roland A-800 midi keyboard used alongside Reason 7, and my second keyboard is my beautiful Minimoog Voyager performer edition. (I'm 58 years old by the way) I consider myself very fortunate to be able to own a Minimoog Voyager. Respect to you sir, and thank you for the video. Paul. From England.

I kept expecting him to launch into the Star Wars "force" (or is it Luke & Leia) theme. The riff he kicks around in here starts just like that. I was like "wait for it....damn!" ... "wait for it.... damn!"

I recently saw another synth collection which reminded me of this setup, so I found my way back here. I didn't subscribe at the time, as I don't think TH-cam subscriptions were a thing back when this was released. Still sounds as good today as it did 13 years ago. Would love to see more from this artist, or even hear if he has a BandCamp... Great work. Kudos!

I'm not disputing that good music hasn't been made with software, I've heard an entire album made with renoise that is just incredible. However even newer analogue gear which I have doesn't sound the same as older analogue for some reason and no one is exactly sure why (non discrete circuitry, age?) My software is more flexible than my hardware but I still haven't been able to make it sound the same. There is a reason hardware isn't obsolete and it isn't just so one can have a nice collection

It's been interesting run with this synthesizer thing. Tape loops folks resented the synthesizer. Then by the late '80s we were all ooh and ahh when we could reproduce realistic sounding acoustic piano with sample playback from a MIDI keyboard. By early '90s most people got tired of electronic things, and most bands refused to use anything else than drums and guitars. Then by 1995 synthesizers were back, not with sample playback being the hot ticket, but with stress on virtual analog and vintage synthesizers of the '60s, '70s and '80s resurgence. Then things went onto consumer platform (personal computer) in a form VST or something. Still, the sound is all about sawtooths, squares, traingles, sines, white noise, etc. Quite simple electronic concepts by today's standards, and yet, they are alive an well, and pulsating lucratively as EDM. Personally, to be honest, I'm trying to recapture the oohs and ahhs from the late '80s, that's what does it for me.

Loved it. What a collection. Makes my Yamaha CS10 and old Casio CZ101 look rather small. Bought the Yam back in the early 80's and it was second hand then at £65. Think its gone up since then, but who could part with an old friend. Keep collecting. Ace stuff. Regards. Steve M.

cool jam! have you tried working with more people, to get a more compact and varied / lively jam? I think theres at least for 6 people room to work with the rigs :-) me and some friends used to have like a quarter of that rig combined, and even then with 3 people it was tough to get the jam compact and varied with nice stops and drops and rises etc.. a thing I often see with all the modular jams and noodles stuff, one person being too busy with too many synths, thus making 15 to 20 minute jams to get all the variations captured youd planned ahead. thats ok for the creator but tough for the listener sometimes. Anyway, you did hell of a good job with this one! cheers
