This is AKALA all over he is a highly intellectual social activist, aswel as a university lecturer he is also an author and a businessman, he also mentors!! He began the Urban Shakespeare company and uses rap and young MCs to introduce the classics to the Urban youth in a way they understand. His Fire in the Booths are the only ones I'd recommend to a hip hop audience part one is amazing but part 4 is legendary. It's long but worth the extra effort he bars for 15 mins straight but then goes into a segment from one of his RAP operas its awesome and really powerful stuff.

That thing you might hear about, and be called Crown Land.. isn't land that belongs to the crown. It's in reality, unceded territory, meaning the land was NEVER SURRENDERED. About 95% of British Columbia sits on unceded territory. It's illegal.. that entire thing. well, about 95% of it. xo

Hey Canadian dad, nice react as ever. So Ive been trying to find a track online from years ago, one of my favourite older UK rap tracks. Its not available anywhere as far as I can tell. Its by a guy who used to call himself Truth, then changed to Booda French cos of another rapper taking the name The Truth. The guy is an incredible lyricist with a flow to match. I really wanna give you this track, not even to react to, just to have, cos its gold. Anywhere I can send the mp3 to for you? The track is called "Takes Time"

I’m not a grime fan either but I can’t deny there hasn’t been any good grime fire in the booths or even crossover artists (Wretch, Avelino, Lowkey etc). Then as a hip hop head myself, I loved Rhyme Asylums FITB & enjoy Lunar’s.
I’d love to see Akala - fire in the booth 1, I think you’d appreciate it!
