For several years I have livestreamed a meditation class every 12 hours, but have little to show for it. Do you know of a course geared specifically for non-gaming livestreamers?
I'm new to streaming/recording and content creation. You sir are a blessing to me! I REALLY appreciate the transparency, It has been so helpful between multiple of your videos that have helped me improve and get properly setup
First "Viewer" in comment section. Thx huge help. Fast, no talking around and explained for different performances/hardware. Keep it up the good work :3
thank you so much this helped me out so much cause the last video the guy ruined my stream quality and u did the complete opposite of what he did and fixxed it and made it better tyy
That’s what I’m here for an wondering, I have 1gb up/down hardwired to both pcs but twitch likes to use a walking 🦯 cane max 6000. TH-cam I know you can blast the bitrate. I have my OBS twitch set to 6k. It states stable and then also unstable so I don’t know who wants what… 🤦♂️
The bitrate guide is not what I was looking for. Sure if you have an upload speed over 20mb/ps you can stream at a higher bitrate, but that doesn't mean you should, because you internet has to be stable at all times. Twitch for example, has a guideline for these settings. Depending on your settings and speed, from best to worst when it comes to bitrate, 6000 > 4500 > 3000 are the numbers you're looking for. Anything over 6000 is not necessary unless if you want to stream at 4k which doesn't make a different for viewers who don't have monitors or devices that supports 4k.
@@RBTECHLOVER thanks, I get that but I feel like it’s a waste of time. Most people just want to know what to do. Feel like the information usually falls on deaf ears and I try to only explain the important things. 100% get what you’re saying though. Think I’ll include more explanation in my 2025 updated video
@@slurptech thats cool bro love that, my thing is im trying to find a way to stream off my 4060 without losing too much in game fps and trying to have some visual clarity.
appreciate the concise and clear info. only one thing i don't understand is the vod audio channels. if i want to listen to music on stream but don't want it to be recorded on the vod, how can i separate them if they come through the same audio channel? it seems as though you have 2 desktop channels.
so i want to make two separate profiles, one for streaming and one for recording is there away to have one profile have diff audio tracks then the other? for example for recording i have 5 diff audio tracks bc it makes editing easier but for twitch i have to have all my audio on one track. so will making a profile save audio tracks or will i have to change them every time i wanna stream/record?
I use settings: CBR 8000 bitrate, Keyframe Interval 2s, P6 Slower Preset, Tuning on high quality, Multi-pass mode on Two Passes Quarter res, Profile High, Pyscho visual tuning ticked, Max B-frames at 2... and my stream looks dreadful... Buttery smooth... But so pixelated... Looks horrible... absolutely nothing like the gameplay quality.... Only difference ive done to mine, is rescale output to 1920x1080 using Lanczos output setting.. because i play on a 1440p monitor, and want to downscale to 1080p for streaming... Any help?
Hi. For an RTX 4090 + 7950X3D setup and an internet connection of 1000/300 Mbps, which option do you recommend more: x264 or Nvidia NVENC? From the tests I conducted, it seems that when the game is more CPU-intensive, like CS2 or Valorant, the Nvidia codec gives slightly better results, whereas for more GPU-intensive games, x264 yields a few more FPS. Do they also differ in quality or anything else that could guide the decision on which one is better?
Nvidia NVENC AV1 for RTX users (best video encoder) Preset is best to use P5 slow / Good Quallity for 1080p , P6/P7 is 2k or 4k. Multipass Mode i'd set to full Resolution, enabling this mode gives you higher quality at the expense of more GPU resources.
when i first got my elgato hd60 s+ i streamed Elden Ring PS5 using obs (pc specs at the time i7 8700k, rtx 2060, 32gb of ram) and it ran perfect. but i felt like streaming wasn't for me so i packed it away. several months to a year later I wanted to try streaming again so i hooked it back up (this time: i9 13900k, rtx 4090, 64gb of ram) to play Final Fantasy 16 but there was stutter (i believe is the correct terminology for what's happening). i tried Elden Ring and the same thing. i watched a bunch of videos on things to do but nothing works.
I have a question for u. My PC Spec: ROG STRIX 2080Ti, i7 8700k (Game Mod: ON), 32gb RAM, 2 monitors with 144hz and with this settings in video, i think my stream is not smooth, It seems like 60 fps turns into 45-50 fps at times. When I go to see other streamers on Twitch, everything is smooth and clear. Any ideas?
Question: at 1:10 when talking about upload speed. Megabytes per second should be above 10 or 12 or Megabits? because mine is 50Megabits per second and that would be 6.25 Megabytes per second?
Would've been a bit more helpful to have actually shown results or a comparison at the end. Making Those changes probably make some improvements however there's also the possibility of it doing the opposite happening
Can you make one for mac please? I don't see some of the settings on here like multipass mode and the drop downs that show when you set the profile to high
hello, I have a better cpu than gpu, and my gpu is having a hard time catching up with the cpu speed and the gpu most of the time almost or do reach 100% usage, is it fine to use nvidia nvenc h264 still or i can go and use x264, does using x264 impact quality?
For several years I have livestreamed a meditation class every 12 hours, but have little to show for it. Do you know of a course geared specifically for non-gaming livestreamers?
If I want to record my stream and edit it later. Would having my stream audio track on 4 and my recording audio tracks set to 1, 2, and 3 (for gameplay, webcam, and discord - in that order) allow my recording to be split into multiple audio tracks? I've had the audios for these splits already and it works perfectly for recording. Still, I am unsure of how that'll work for streaming as I would like to be able to edit the audio separately after the stream as I do for my recordings.
1:20 Twitch has a cap for the bit rate, my recommendation is 4k however if you are playing a FPS game it can range from 5-6k as 6k is the maximum Edit: this is due to the fact that FPS games have more pixels and more graphical updates
okay so i have a question i have a brand new pc with rtx 4060 and when i looked back at the stream the quality doesnt look the same as the game and it has very smooth gameplay but the quality of the sound mediaand the picture doesnt look the same to me
You can use that resolution if you want, I’ve even suggested it in a previous video. However, I usually recommend 1080p as it’s better/easier to work with when creating content outside of Twitch, which is the best way to grow your stream. So for most people 1080p is the best option
I would set base and video resolution to 1920x1080 and fit the gameplay to match, then follow the settings in the video. So 8000 bit rate if your internet allows
you can do that if you wan't to, but I just mean right-click on the gameplay source and go to transform then fit to screen. It will make fit the 1920x1080 canvas@@MiGzZ_X1
When i fight bosses or something with much movement i get the stream kinda pixelated. With 3500 bits can I stream at 720p 30 fps? Also i had preset to P5 and Turning with Ultra Low latency Changing this to P6 and High quality fixes this?

good job coming to a video and explaining in a way that shows you have no idea what you're talking about
if u did brief explanations with reasoning for your choices, this would be a good video

Lancoz downscale filter works better for IRL content and webcams. Bicubic is better for gaming content. Overall though, great video.
