as an beta player who stopped playing in 2020 i can say this from an outsider perspective: in any other game if a plane gets this close to AA they're vapor. WOWS still wows me love your gameplay man it's entertaining.
and yet, if you compare it to acual aa effectivness from the time, with Tranto, Pearl, Midway, Sibyan sea as examples, the AA in wows is massivly overachieving. Most shootdowns came from fighters/interceptors, not aa. Even the ship that would not die, USS Laffey had serious help from wildcats.
@TallulahSoie for the allies, yes, True. For Japan... not so much. Sibuyan sea was in oct 1944, and after that Japan did not really have an effective fleet.
I can't get on with Shinano either Flambass and i main CVs. I think the planes just take too much dmg, and take forever to respawn, idk what it is about this ship. Was considering refunded it but read that WG doesn't refund you steel ships so, kinda stuck with it.
Bb 1st line cruiser 2nd line DD 3rd line the closer you are the more the pen practice skips you can citadel BBS and it's crazy scary I like torpedoes myself but I only have lowest level aircraft carrier cause I don't play them enough
a couple of years ago, i was playing Petro on that map thats kinda similar to two brothers but not quite the same. opposing team had a Midway who hounded me the whole battle, he didnt strike anyone else or spot DDs with any of his wings. my battle gameplay was pretty much just constant dodging of strikes and the odd shot that i could take every now and again. i ended the battle with about 170k damage done to planes and 25k to ships. AA expert and Dreadnought medals, the Midway actually got deplaned down to where he didnt even have enough planes to send full strike wings off his deck. yet, my prize was to be second lowest in team for exp, something like 1k exp or below it.
@@Pilvenuga 5 ship kills vs 2 air plane kills. They have said that Score is the Constant damage a person can give to 1 target. By his score, everyone ELSE was a kill stealer.

AA improved and interceptions became more common as the war went on.
That's how war works. Adapt and overcome.

Are you saying that the AA in WOWS is just too powerful?
You could maybe contact support and roll your acc back to before your purchase.
IDk, i see other CC's getting lots of skip bombe citadels while yours do no damage.
Fun thing in all the years playing this game and in super containers had several carriers but never played them.
I think Skip Bombers are really good against CVs.
