I love full suspension ❤
We do too!
1 only problem: we broke
@@Ahmetabdul1 no we arent
@@_Jan___ we in depth
I have both because when ever im going to a new trail i take the hardtail because itll be easier when i take a full suspension to that trail and have a much easier time
That makes sense!
I ride a full suspension bike, but it is not a very good bike but I like it because it is mine.
As long as you have a good time on your rides!
are the brakes good
@@petar1778 I did get a new bike about a month ago because the full suspension bike started falling apart. The bike I have now is a hard tail, but the brakes are pretty good. They're Tektro Disc Brakes (not quite sure which ones as I haven't searched them up yet) but they are pretty dang good.
@@benjaminlewis5057 i have two full suspension bikes. brakes on one are brakeing like they are oiled (basicly not braking) and the brakes on the other are barely ok
@@petar1778 that's what was happening to mine, but they weren't disk brakes. I would press it and it would take forever to stop despite using both brakes.
I was about to say do I have the same budget for both because I don't think there's a argument here😅
Well some folks still strongly prefer the hardtails regardless of budget!
Right, I find it weird for someone to say "No, I don't want rear suspension."
@@dannyphantom121 No, I don't want full suspension. Not weird at all. Where I live, a full sus is basically overkill. Hardtail works perfectly fine, less maintenance and looks cooler. I've never encountered a part of the trails I ride that made me think "I wish I had full sus."
@@dannyphantom121Why? It is more efficient. And lighter. If you dont really need full suspension, a hardtail will be both faster and cheaper.
@@dvs620Excactly. It is better to be slightly underbiking on a hardtail that is over a kilogram or sometimes even 2kg lighter than a full suspension bike and makes your pedaling more efficient than ride a full suspension on a slightly too light trails for them.
I picked my Polygon Syncline C5 carbon hardtail - lighter weight & less maintenance, better for XC steep ascents that I do, 29 inch wheels & Fox front suspension still gives a great smooth ride 🚴
Excellent bike choice!
@@bikesonline unboxing & upgrades video of the Syncline on my channel 🚴
Hardtails are cheap and also teach you good to pick good lines and also they teach you to absorb more absorbment so you can exercise your body more and also it's cheaper so when you buy a full suspension it's high maintenance and in probably cost of 5,000 dollars
All good points!
Yea but you can also get a hard tail for $5k
The price thing is not described that well. It is not the starting point that is so far. It is just that the bike with the same components but with the full suspension frame instead of hardtail one will usually be around 10-30% more expensive.
Hard tail because I tend to put off maintenance
From a maint perspective, HT is definitely the easier route!
Your Loss ??.......... A Lazy Purest ?
My only extra maintenance on full suspension is, that I only check air pressure and sag in rear shock once a year.
@@karlvonbahnhof6594you mean, you don't check and clean the pivots and linkages or apply grease to those?
Fully for sure
Full all the way
Right on! FS is awesome!
Well, I live near Whistler and ride park mostly so I’d suffer without my full squish.
Certainly would! Good call!
Lucky
Full suspension ❤❤❤
Great choice!
I ride a full suspension and my friends have hardtails, although their bikes are not top tier by a long shot, the hard impacts and rigid feeling prevents them from trying features. And gaining confidence
The extra squish definitely helps with the big stuff!
Like me...have 1 of each but l prefer the hard tail!!
Understandable! Simplicity is nice.
Same 😂
Full suspension
@@nikolasafxentiou7537 go the the other section man
I have always ridden hardtails and recently got a full suspension. I’ve found that if you only point your bike downhill and take chair lifts and shuttles uphill, then a full suspension is great. But if you actually pedal your bike, a hardtail is way better and a lot more fun 🤙
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🤙
Very true. Thats because full suspension is less efficient and heavier, making it inferior whenwver it comes to mainaining or gaining speed by pedaling.
Been riding a hardtail for 4 years now. I recently bought a full suspension and it really is a game changer.
Oh yes! I'm sure you're excited!
Hardtail ❤❤
I love hardtalls but I’m getting too good for them so I’d pick full suspension
Id go full but I need the other storage
Already had the C5 i’ am now thingking of full suspension mtb. What should i buy?
It depends! What types of trails do you plan to ride? What types of features?
I am an xc rider so I like hard tail because hard tail have less weight and climbing is also best ❤❤
Ooo full suspension for sure
So many more benefits + it can be pretty much any of the 2
Makes perfect sense!
@@bikesonlineNo it doesnt. Ocer a kilogram heavier when it comes to carbon XC bikes, over 1.5kg heavier when we are talking about aluminum XC bikes and even more when it is a trail bike. On a flat terrain and uphills every gram makes a difference. Full suspension is better only in 2 things. Descending, riding over very very rough terrain, and having more grip on uneven terrain which is basically the rough terrain point.
Any flat or uphill section, unless it is an EMTB, hardtail wins.
I love full suspension
Full suspension, with RockShox Flight Attendant. That gives you the best of both worlds.
Very true! Although it would cost you a bit!
I ride a dual so my choice is easy to guess
Haha! Very true.
Hardtail all day baby
Let's goooo!
Full squish any day
Can't blame you there!
100% full suspension. If I’d end up needing a hard tail I would just give my shock as much pressure as possible and put in as many tokens as possible and also put it into pedal mode
Hardtail with a frame like the Cannondale Scalpel HT, where it can flex a bit in the rear triangle since it is designed to.
Those designs are fascinating!
Full suspension
Great choice!
Full Suspension
Fully
Great way to go!
@@bikesonline thanks
full suspension
Great choice!
Full suspension after switching from a hardtail to full suspension I am never going back
That's quite understandable. FS is a real treat!
Hardtail, I've done crazy thing to mine.
That's awesome!!
I prefer a hardtail if i had a choice for a do it all commuter bike i do have a 27.5" full sus i like the efficiency of a hardtail is why i prefer a hardtail and they are cheaper to own and maintain
That’s true!
a hardtail is the best all round travelling companion cycing can offer
Me watching this with my front suspension bricked up 😮
😮 Oh my!
Full sus is also a little bit slower too and it’s not really made for skate park use due to its slower rolling speed then a hardtail. I would take it if I’m doing trails though. But hardtail for me that’s just my opinion.
full sus not for parks???? how does that make any sense?
that's an interesting take!
@@420mtbrider I’m saying that it has slower rolling speed. But that’s my opinion take it with a grain of salt man.
@@bikesonline For me hardtail all day.
I have both but the hardtail is the most fun and versatile
That's awesome!
I would have both
Haha! This is the correct answer.
Just sold my full susp after 8yrs and bought a new hardtail
Right on!
Full Sus
Great choice!
Always hard tail, I devote my life to 26 inch rims and hard tails
Very nice!
I like full sus a lot better but I don’t mind riding hardtails
Hardtail
Im going to get a hardtail for my first MTB, due to lower entry cost.
A wise decision!
full suspension because i could just lockout the rear shock and have a hardtail
That's true!
It will be bad for your rear shocks. On flat grounds yes, but you should not ride rough terrain with your rear shock locked out. They are not designed to absorb impact when locked.
Locking the rear shock doesnt magically reduce your bike's weight by over a killogram. Also even a locked full suspension bike is not nearly as rigid as a hardtail.
@@arkitotoyzFacts.
To be honest I would choose an hardtail because my budget isn't that big
that's fair!
Full sus all the way. However, when it comes to simplicity, you can't beat a hardtail.
Very true!
I would go for light softtail like Procaliber for example.
Nice!
Same from me, but I would choose Cannondale Scalpel HT
Hardtail: Low Budget
Full Suspension: Big budget
That makes sense!
Dualy for the win
👇
We tend to agree!
2
Hardtail as simplicity is my main thing and in my opinion more fun
That's fair!
Full forever
Fr
full rigid just for village / park roads :)
Classic proven technology!
I have a scott spark. Is a hard tail and full suspension in one bike.
That's a nifty idea!
i have hardtail but my dream is a full suspension
Nothing wrong with a good hardtail!
Do I have to ride up the trail?
Definitely! You've gotta earn those descents!
Hard tail
Full
I choose a the Trek Procaliber that is a softail
That sounds interesting!
Full for ride downhill, enduro hard tail for up hill, but if I have to choose I prefer full, up hill is harder but is not big difference
That's a fair assessment!
I choose no suspension
Hardtrail
HT
Nice choice!
Hard tail all day
Full every single timeline unless it’s a dj
That's a fair call!
Full because you can lock it when needed
That's true!
Probs Hardtail, my san quentin is mad and so is my norco rampage2
Right on!
I pick full suspension cuz i have hardtrail
Both great options!
Santa Cruz v 10 all the way
Big bike!
I’ll take the colossus everyday of the week
Ah, I see you have good taste!
full suspension all day specifically an enduro
Great choice!
Depends on your skill set
That's true!
Hard tail>>>>>
Nice choice!
And full suspensions are usually aloooot heavier than a hardtail
They can be!
What bike is that hardtail?
That’s the Polygon Syncline C5!
@@bikesonline thanks!
Hard trail for life
They're a classic!
full suspension gang
Let's goooo!
Full suspension.
Nice choice!
I get more tired on the fs
That slight loss of efficiency can definitely make you more tired over time!
No suspension for me
Rigid! Very cool.
You can lock back suspension sooooo
This is true most of the time!
Easy full squish I never ride my ht 😂
Haha! Understandable!
Hardtail.
Can't go wrong with a hardtail!
What would you choose, block of silver or gold hmmm
Guess it depends on the weight of the blocks!
Hard suspension for me
Nice!
Full suspension all day every day, why would I want to get beat up and be slower.
Good point!
It makes sense only on descends or trails as rough as some of the more difficult enduro ones.
@@jurekgadzinowski2895the only place I have ever found a hard tail to be faster is on pavement. It may feel faster if you equate harsh ride with more efficient but the data doesn’t support it and you get better traction on the full suspension
Hard tail as it is a bike , Full suspension is for other things perhaps better but hard tail can do it all
That makes sense!
@@bikesonlineas long you are comfortable on any of them that's all you need
Definitly hardtail
Excellent choice!
hardtail titanium.....
Such a neat material!
full
Nice choice!
I chose the only bike, and there is no suspension at all)))
Rigid bike! Nice!
@@bikesonlineI bought a Grevel, we have few mountains near the city, the highest point is about 100 meters, I didn’t roll out the MTB for a long time and sold it
full
because there are xc full and dh full
That's true!
Fully rigid🫨🫨🫨👍🏼
That's a spicy way to go!!
Hardtail. I ride dirt
Right on!
As a broke XC rider I’ll probably get a hardtail
They're a great option!
I pick full sus
A great way to go!
Nah for me full suspension
Good choice!
