- The year is 1992. After CJ and his friends had almost gotten killed during that cop chase last night (Reuniting the Families), CJ woke up wondering what could happen next. His little brother had been killed 5 years ago, he left his gang battling their old rivals, his mother had just been murdered and he then discovers that long time GSF members Little Devil, Big Devil, and Tony are dead. It was only the early part of the '90s and already, the decade seemed like the worst in his life. CJ liked the '80s much better.
This movie is mostly about the first chapter of the story - The Green Sabre.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 26 October 2004 for PlayStation 2, and on 7 June 2005 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. The game takes place in 1992 within the state of San Andreas, which is based on sections of California and Nevada. It comprises three major fictional cities: Los Santos corresponds to Los Angeles, San Fierro corresponds to San Francisco, and Las Venturas corresponds to Las Vegas. The environments around these cities are also based on settings within the Southwestern region of the United States. Players can drive up the half-mile (800 m) tall Mount Chiliad (based on Mount Diablo), parachute from various peaks and skyscrapers, and visit 12 rural towns and villages located in five counties: Red County, Flint County, Bone County, Tierra Robada, and Whetstone. Other notable destinations include Sherman Dam (based on the Hoover Dam), a large secret military base called Area 69 (based on Area 51), a large satellite dish (based on a dish from the Very Large Array), Vinewood (based on Hollywood) and the Vinewood sign (based on the Hollywood sign) which is located in Mulholland, and many other geographical features. The bridges in San Fierro are based on the Forth road and rail bridges which link Edinburgh, the home of Rockstar North, to Fife although the road bridge is highly similar to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. San Andreas is 13.9 square miles (36 square kilometres), almost four times as large as Vice City and five times as large as the Grand Theft Auto III rendition of Liberty City. The three cities are linked by numerous highways, a train system, and air travel. While its predecessors' areas were limited to urban locations, San Andreas includes not only large cities and suburbs, but also the rural areas between them.

I could actually see it going this way if ryder was around. This is how it should have been. The build up to the fight was dope. Everything he did was true to his character. Can't wait to see more.. Its crazy when you've played this game so much you know which mission cutscenes the animations are from.
If only Rockstar would be competent enough to re-apply the original route for Ryder,that being him taking down the Ballas side by side with CJ.

This is my new canon. CJ and Ryder starting out rough in the beginning but they both work together to reclaim the hood and get revenge on Smoke and Tenpenny, also developing their relationship in the process. If only Rockstar had paid their voice actors better, it would have been even more of a masterpiece

I have a feeling it isn't splicing, pretty sure there are voice generators for cj and some of the main characters of gtasa, not sure where they came from.
Oh and tempenny and pulaski's voice gen sound kinda broken, well they have less lines apart from cutscenes (which most have background audio, maybe it could use more lines from Samuel's acting in other media (You could clearly hear a "motherfucker" from pulp fiction at 18:56)

@@racapinang I think it's voice deepfake. He could spend hours, maybe even months making AI learn all of the character voices and then he literally written everything in a program and they said what it was written. I love it :)
I think he's using AI generated voice to translate the dialogue for the characters, which explains why their voice seems off, especially for Tenpenny. Other than that, the dialogue itself feels fitting.
@@gtwist8065for some unknown reason, Tenpenny doesn't have quotes and dialogues spawned as a pedestrian, and he looks nothing like himself comparing to when he appears in cutscenes

Honestly,Ryder should have died on the ambush,not joined Big Smoke.
Would have added a lot of feelings,like,Smoke killed Ryder,and almost killed Sweet,would have added a lot more on the ending.
Instead they made him a traitor. Thats my biggest problem with Gta sa tho.

I heard somewhere Rockstar really didn't want to make him a hero. By making him a traitor, they were directly poking at the VA for leaving the project.
Or they could have made him silent character who lost his voice in battle keeping him alive

Well, I suppose that with the leak of the source code of the Definitive Trilogy, plus a modding community as large as GTA's could make that a reality... Just look at how they were able to create Sindacco Chronicles for the now dead PSP, imagine the possibilities...

Becides all great work done here with alternative cutscenes and voice modulation, you also managed to fix original game cutscene mistake, when Pulaski had been talking about Chilliad mountain, but was pointing in wrong direction. Just for you to know, that somebody noticed your great work and attention to details

I like how this version is able to keep the characters in character while changing things a bit. The entire rewrite was amazing, and to see this visually makes it even better. Great job! So much better than what we saw in the original plot.

If there was a proper remaster of GTA:SA, they've got to put this alternate storyline in. The way they did Ryder was kind of dirty. All or most of his missions were for Grove Street and his morals was always for the hood. Unlike Smoke, whose missions were purely for himself and C.R.A.S.H.

I think that for Ryder that was about survival. He enjoyed the action, the robbery, the drugs, he never gave a shit about money and I don’t think power was his motivation.

Ryder had to keep the facade of being down for the hood while Smoke worked with the Ballas and the CRASH that's why he kept doing missions for the hood, even though he was on Smoke's side.

I thought Ryder was meant to die in The Green Sabre, but this storyline proves how Rockstar should've took this approach instead of just potraying him as a traitor. Ryder did everything to save the GSF, he was straight but the in game Ryder is just a mistake. He was never like Lance Vance, even Lance did show a bit of his sign to betray Tommy. I would say, i'd rather see Ryder take the bullet for the grove and make it worth it rather than paint him as a unjust traitor who instead ended like Lance Vance. Lance Vance is also a good sidekick and a friend, like Ryder but became a indicator of his own demeanor that he will turn against Tommy.
Ryder's death should've been like Caine dying in Menace II Society from the drive-by shooting. OG Loc kills Ryder while Smoke is driving the Green Sabre at Mulholland Intersection.

This is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. It’s nice to know the San Andreas community is still active and creating things of this magnitude in honor of this game. This game was my childhood and I personally think it’s one of the best ones Rockstar ever made. I love your attention to detail. At first I thought you were using cut dialogue from when the story was supposed to include Ryder, but I think that’s just a statement of how good your editing is. And I saw there is supposed to be a continuation? I’ll definitely be on the lookout for that in the future. If it’s as good as this, I don’t want to miss it!

I wish San Andreas was like gta v and let you play as Carl, Sweet and Rider.
I know that og players would disagree with me but when I first learned about these games, I thought they would also have triple playable characters. But the sheer fact that you can already call gang members to help you out, it'll make the gameplay more interesting.
It's sad that riders voice actor left before the game finished.

I always imagines that it would be best for the plot to kill Ryder in the end of Grove vs Ballas fight by the police. It would've show CJ that he can't win this fight and give up, while Ryder would not give up ti the end. Just my vision)

Damn I was hoping for the day when someone actually made them speak full unique sentences other than just relying on the given speech files, many years earlier it would be unthinkable unless you knew some capable voice actors, anyway San Andreas is more alive than ever now!

Amazing execution, man, it feels like something R* could've (and should've) done. Never liked the Ryder character going missing like that, it always felt something was off and didn't make sense; Ryder has shown many times that he cares about his homies, so he wouldn't have done something like betraying them for whatever reason, it doesn't feel right.
Also, that encounter with Ryder at countryside playing around feels so in character ^^
