The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 launched in early 2020 to kick-off the silhouette’s 35th anniversary. A return-to-original-form, the premium iteration will see its third release on Wednesday, February 10th, in a “White/Neutral Grey” colorway unseen since 1985.
Limited to just 23,000 pairs, the forthcoming retro features the shape and packaging of Peter Moore’s original proposition. Smooth leather throughout the upper sets the stage for soft suede swathes that take over profile swooshes and collar construction; “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue and “Wings” logos on the lateral ankle indulge in the hair material’s titular grey hue. The two-toned Jordan 1 arrives with sizing information on the inner collar, an individually-numbered drawstring bag and a throwback hang tag depicting Michael Jordan soaring above Chicago’s skyline (recreated from scratch by designers).

I love the OG hits on the paper and the hang tag 🏷 the insole lettering, it’s the details for me. The GREYS with the WHITE so simple, but damn they look CLEAN 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The grey laces on these would go HARD. I love the OGs, but would love to see them use more “ZOOM” “ZOOM COMFORT” in OG models and colorways. @@WesdenzelTV Every 85’ pair is stiff due to the leather being thicker than our latest Jordan 1 models. They are making the new 85 models exactly like the 1985 pairs. Who do I know this? Because I own a real pair of OG 1985 Chicago 1’s and it’s the same leather thickness and cut. They were made like this to last longer than the most recent general release 1’s that fall apart after 10 years of wear. My 1985 Chicago’s are tanks and I still wear them.

Dude I waited a few years to see if prices would eventually dip and they have been but I still didn’t want to pay more than $350 well yesterday the sneaker gods answered my prayer because there was a listing on GOAT for a brand new pair in my size (8.5) for $207 because of a damaged box and because they had already been pre authenticated by GOAT I only paid tax and shipping for a grand total of $240 which is as close to retail as I was going to get I’m sooo happy I didn’t pull the trigger on impulse and waited because I’ll take a $100 discount over a box if I have to use duct tape to fix the box idgaf because I don’t ever plan on selling them!!! Whoop whoop
