Good one...and a problem that i've come across with just tying my first hair rig with these stops. I first mounted a drilled 8mm hard pellet and then a drilled 8mm boilie. I found its best to (with the needle) push the stop with the pointed end first back up through the bait (through the drilled hole for a hard bait) however after doing this i found it caused my hair to kink so now the hair with the stop at the end comes off the hook in a U shape but this i think is just down to the fact that i used fluorocarbon...and i dont think its actually damaged the hair.
help needed from novice ,, seems great idea but how does one get bait off quickly if need too

What is the heaviest mono the will go through the push stop. I've never tried using them woul be great for sweet corn....
