Brilliant Alan. The tip about the rubber. I can see how the bait is in line with the bottom bend of the hook. I'm going to tie all my hairs this way. It would also stop the hair from getting crimpped, which happens sometimes. I must try those hooks too, Power hair rigger hooks. It may take a little longer to tie, but if this way results in less lost fish, it has to be worthwhile.
I find it easier to thread the line through the push stop eye, whilst it is still attatched to the frame, rather than breaking it off, then trying to hold it between finger and thumb to thread the line through.
Hi Alan Another great instructional video. In this one I could not take my eyes off your hook link box. How do you tie each hook length the same length? Another video?
I have these push stops now and are much better than bait stops but i want to use up all my bait stops first...cant be getting into the habit of buying stuff only then to use something else and waste money. This is what i've found though getting back into fishing, i find out easier methods, better rigs and simpler to tie rigs using certain tackle that i then go out and buy which leaves me with tackle i'll no longer use!
I'd recommend getting a Preston silicone dispenser, comes with a choice of 5 different diameter silicone tubes and then whatever hook you're using you have those 5 different diameter tubes to choose from and to find which one fits nicely on the shank of your hook. Ideally the hook needs to fit through the silicone nicely without being too tight or too loose.

Rubber makes good sense, will do this on my next lot of rigs, thank you.

Once you’ve twisted the push stop off use your needle to hold it whilst threading it much much easier
I reckon a fly tying vice would really help setting up those hair rigs at home....are they all hook lengths in that wooden box?
Nagyon jo megoldás még a puha pelletek eseté is!!!!!!!

Did you thread the hook through the rubber tube the wrong way to start with?
What is the rubber diameter you are using on the hook? Also where do you buy it ?
