If it is possible to say this, that girl has as perfect a voice as a singer can possibly have.. like Joni Mitchell, Karen Carpenter, Kristyn Getty, or the great Alison Krauss .. please please PLEASE allow her to SING MORE HYMNS!!!!!!!!
So glad to see the overwhelmingly positive comments. If I understand correctly, these students were/are from the Department of Biblical Worship and probably have more Biblical, Theological, and Worship training and understanding than 99% of the sticks in the mud who complain because the style isn't "the way it was when I grew up". Crack open a Bible, pharisees, and see how the Lord wants us to sing a new song. I think breathing new life into an old hymn counts :) Seriously, though, give praise to God that these young people are choosing to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and stop wagging your finger at their music just because it's not the style you like. Worship is about what God wants and likes, not YOU.
@@STEVEinNC woah, you're right, they're all gone... there used to be a lot more negative comments on this particular video but who knows what happened to them. And I'm sorry you think I'm complaining. You must have missed Dean Schulz' comment saying this hymn has been reduced to guitar music, or PBD Park Biz' "Gay".
Just got home from Lutheran Lent services where we sang an older traditional rendition of this hymn. One of my alltime favs. I couldn't get the tune out of my head so I did a search and found this. Glad I did! Wonderful singing. This young lady is very gifted and I'd like to hear more of her music.
Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne. Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns All music but its own. Awake, my soul and sing Of Him Who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King Through all eternity. Crown him the Lord of life Who triumphed o'er the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those he came to save; His glories now we sing Who died, and rose on high. Who died, eternal life to bring And lives that death may die. Crown him the Lord of heaven, Enthroned in worlds above; Crown him the king, to whom is given The wondrous name of Love, Crown him with many crowns, As thrones before him fall. Crown him, ye kings, with many crowns, For He is King of all. Soli Deo Gloria!😇
This was EXCELLENT!!! The singer's voice, impeccable; the spirit of all, luminous. My favorite. Must look up to see if you kids put out any other hymns. I loved this more than I can say. It made my month. Blessings times one billion!!!
Where can I buy her albums already?!? Wow incredible, pitch PERFECT, strong, crystal clear voice that is also respectful & faithful to the original song’s melody.. simply AMAZING TAKE MY MONEY 💴
I love your rendition, and everyone did an awesome job. I believe this was a wonderful fragrance to God's ears as it was mine. I hope all of you will find a church home where God can really use your talents. Just remember the small churches also need people like you, so you can liven up Worship and reach more people for Christ. Amen. . . I liked and subscribed because I was truly inspired.
I've been wanting this to be a thing for a few decades now. Band arrangements of hymns that just play the song already. Yes, you can do fills and cool arrangements so long as you don't lose the congregation. Bravo!! Well done. This was one of my son's favorite songs when he was 3-5. He'd ask "Can We Sing 'Triumphed O'er the grave" or some other fragment of the song he remembered.

Very good, but you left off the best verse! Crown him the Lord of years, the potentate of time creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime. All hail, Redeemer, hail! for thou hast died for me; thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity.
Ezekiel 33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
This is a terrible version. Her voice is fantastic but is best suited in a much more traditional arrangement. Meanwhile, the band is playing like they're a bar band on a Saturday night passing the tip jar. Leave classic hymns alone...

williamstdog9 amen to that, Dog! 100 percent voice , no phony stuff
The voice is beautiful, yes, but you can tell that it comes from a heart and soul of FAITH!

Who's complaining except you? I see only praise here except your comment.

Wow. That voice. Never would have expected that. Beautiful.
I appreciate that the guitarist is playing blues licks and not the stuff that passes for lead guitar in most praise and worship bands.
She absolutely knocked it out of the park 🔥

Lutheran Lent? What's THAT? Sounds WAY too Cathlicky to me. Didn't you learn anything from the Protestant Reformation?
Love this rendition. Keep it up, guys! Love from Singapore

I don't normally say this kind of stuff, but holy cow is that vocalist pretty. 😍
She has a beautiful voice also.
@@woodb51 Yes, she does. She has a beautiful voice.
So glad you didn't add the "Chris Tomlin chorus" to it! Perfect!
Fabulous worship! TH-cam does have gifts, one must seek & find, YT recommendations help. Hallelujah! \0/
What is her name? I am trying to search more hymns sung by her. Thank you !!
Did you find anymore sung by her?
Liiiiiit

Does anyone know who this soloist is?
😀💞💞💞
한국사람인가요??
나도 궁금해요
Her vocal control is ASTOUNDING.
I love this song but I prefer the East-Africa Swahili version.
Lots and lot of guiteeers

The vocalist is great, but reducing this great hymn to guitar music is just lame.
Wow
Gay!
happy

Wonderful.
