I love the way Paul Frees says "Yeeeeees, it WAS Dinky Dunstan". Comic brilliance from Hans Conried, Jay Ward, the writers, performers and the editors make this show a timeless classic.
Indeed he was! George also wrote the material and gags for Jay's "Operation Loudmouth" publicity flyers around the time "THE BULLWINKLE SHOW" premiered in 1961. Here's one example: artofjayward.blogspot.com/2015/05/jay-ward-and-art-of-self-promotion-part.html

Because of all the cartoon voices in this show we couldn't help but laugh at old movies with them in it. RIP Paul Frees.
That unmistakable voice
Thanks to a combination of watching Fractured Flickers and reading Mad Magazine, my childhood was delightfully corrupted.
Love this! I remember watching it in Cinema 101 film class ... at USC.
I have been looking for this for years!
Holy crap! came across this by chance. I had completely forgotten about Hans Conried. Really brought back memories! As funny now as it was then.
I was enamored with Hans Conreid after seeing him in the movie 5000 fingers of Doctor T. Charismatic and captivating!
Hilarious . Love the old movie footage, hadn't seen old Hunch in scores of years.
Oh my gosh, I remember watching this Dinky Dunstan episode as a kid when Fractured Flickers was first run on TV. Thanks for posting.
The voice of Dinky Dunstan.was the late great Bill Scott. He also was Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right, Mr. Peabody and Fearless Leader. An amazing talent.
An old friend of my Mom's wrote for this program.
Jim Critchfield? George Atkins? Lloyd Turner? Allan Burns? Chris Hayward?
George... one of the funniest men I have known.

Did they also mention that Lon Chaney Jr. Tried to sue them for it btw ?
To which Jay Ward said, "Go ahead! We can use the publicity."
Do detect Daws Butler's voice also?
Daws was never a regular member of the cast. It was Bill Scott, Paul Frees, and June Foray.
Funny! 😁
