Dropping a LIKE on your video! As I am watching, seriously, I thought - "Oh great, a DAP commercial." Then realizing this is the DAP products channel, and the very fact that I specifically am using DAP products - Hilarious!
This is what I'm doing at the moment putting some caulk on my windows and doors and anything that air is coming in between cracks. But I'm using Alex plus all Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone 40 YR. It says for baseboards, Windows, Doors, Molding And Trim to me is good stuff. 👍
(Not a review bot or anything), basically insulating my entire 2200 sqft house, I used lots of different caulking, DAP 230 is extremely easy to use and stays fairly flexible with easy cleanup. It will probably be my go-to caulking. I believe it is latex based, I honestly probably will only use polyurethane caulk and latex caulking, maybe don't use latex caulking on areas that have rust if appearance matters for you. The rust can be pushed up to the top of tbe caulk and you might need to redo it.
Can you use the 3.0 indoors? I just tried it out on one window in the bathromm which had wind drafts coming through holes. I used it, and it seems like it is working, but right now after 2 days it is rubbery/jelly like.
Caulk is not expensive, seems like about $6. American for a tube. But you do need the gun, I'm not sure how much that is. I'm just learning but already had one.
Yes, but there's a lot of good information mentioned in the video as well. Forgetting the product specific information it is still a good video to get an idea of how to do the job yourself.
You should hire someone who can properly apply caulking to feature in your video. Cringed when you smeared the caulk with your finger, calling it a "smearing tool". Masking tape? So laughable.

Brand new freaking home. And my bill was so high found out the windows and doors weren’t sealed
Mine too. Exterior sealing was sloppy. Gaps everywhere.
Same here on a 6 month old house. We happened to take our shutters off and found that there was NO caulk on the outside of the windows. 😐
Thank you! This video was very helpful!

Way too much caulk
I just came back from watching a New Zealand video, and BOY was that more than I could bear!
If I come back from New Zealand, boy I would be "bare" too! $$$ LMFAO
Thank you for the useful information.
2:16 what nightmares are made of
Look away, you won't see it! LOL
Thank You great video
Great tips, thank you
NOOB here. I thought the oils on your fingers damages the caulk. Is this true?
Caulk has its own oil in it. :/
Exterior, use big stretch
if it is not painted, will it turn yellow or darken over time?
I respect men who wear their wedding ring- shows they are commited n not afraid to hide that they are married.
If the "wife" treats them well.... There is no need to hide right?
Pro instruction!
Great! Thanx
What is the price

Chris Fix, soapy wooder
Pvc is not composite material
Yet you will be buried? LOL
White caulking on brick?!
Why not? You want "brick color"? LOL
From were to buy
Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Ace Hardware or any hardware store
He just pulled the tape towards himself.
why not show demonstration of tooling instead of a finger?
you wouldnt use that for windows and doors.
Don't use it anywhere you can't open or shut! LMFAO
Weatherize? Weatherproof. Weatherize sounds like you're going to subject it to all the weather, not make it secure from the weather.
thumbs down for the satanic hand sign
Completely wrong
So what’s the right way

What a hack!!!
They said "using a smearing tool or your finger dipped in water".
