Thank you for your video! It saved me $340. The local mechanic wanted to charge me $380 and I was able to go online purchase my spark plugs for $20 and I purchased the spark plug socket from the local auto parts store. From beginning to end, it only took me 15 minutes and that included watching your video to make sure I was doing everything correctly. . I have no car experience so I was a little nervous.

Hello! Just a girl here thanking you and all other Mechanic TH-camrs out there! My man works at a dealership as a New Cars Sales Manager at Subaru and made an appointment at a VW Dealership for me, but respects the fact that I love trying to fix the problems myself if I can. With a bunch of research and watching so many videos and learning about the mechanics of my VW, I was able to buy a scanner to read the problem, learn what the codes meant, then start to fix the issues. I learned that since I didn’t know when the last time all the spark plugs and coils were changed that it was best to change all of them and to make sure the spacing on the plugs were correct (that was an absolute pain in the butt🙃). I was also able to find the biggest culprit of my issue was the Air Flow Coupler was ripping in half🤦🏼‍♀️ I was extremely glad it wasn’t the full air flow pipe since I was on a race against the time of the set appointment🤣 So as a lady, I’m extremely grateful for you mechanics out there teaching me!! My man was so proud of me for figuring out the issues and fixing them but he wasn’t at all surprised that I fixed it🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for the video. I figured it wasn't too tough, but I didn't want to break those tabs. How likely is it one of the ignition coils could be bad? Thanks in advance.

Don’t click the torque wrench twice. Mechanical torque wrenches operate at a 4% accuracy to start with. When you click it a second time, you’re adding more inaccuracy in the positive direction, aka you’re over-tightening it.
