    Started my Monday ( end of January 2024) listening to this inspiring interview (while making the bed and getting ready for the week). Thank You Margaret Renkl for encouraging the creativity of writing in daily working class American life.

    Thank you. Will certainly be reading. I can identify with some of what was said as I live in a rural area of Florida on a few acres of land which I've tried to keep mostly natural. Over the last two decades much of the nearby land, heavily treed and supporting large amounts of local wildlife has been cleared for no good reason. Now many acres of open land, barren except for grass and a handful full of trees. Puzzeling why people move into a rural setting, strip it almost bare, and then spend many hours a year drving around on it on highly polluting lawn tractors to cut the grass. A bit insane. BTW, I love my local crows and other birds...

    A most wonderful read, for sure. It certainly helped me through some of the coldest weather we've had this winter.
