Prepping the 3/25 Regal for paint

Hey guys welcome back to the channel, in this video we return to a rather ambitious restoration of a 1963 Reliant Regal 3/25 that spent a majority of its life rotting on a Scottish island!

I could imagine! This one had been painted with emulsion, believe the rumour has been that the guy had finished painting his doors and windows on his house, had some left over paint so decided to paint his car the same colours 😬

will you be putting a gel coat ( top coat )on it before you paint it??? . i wish the paint on mine would come off that easy i resorted to paint stripper even then my god what a chore still at it 2 months later. grrr lol

I don’t think so, this is how the body was so it could be transparent the gel coat on the front half. It was not that easy, took a lot of time, just have to keep at it
