A witty and fast paced story without the longwinded problems of miscommunication. I very much enjoyed the boom and can truly recommend it as one of the best books of this genre. I also liked the narrator.
It’s amazing how people’s opinions about a book can differ. I love the story right to the end, and I would love to read a sequel. I read a lot of this type of books, but this one had such an original idea that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved all the characters, plot and narrator. I, too, hope their is a sequel. David was fav.. I think we should all go into a marriage with both parties wanting to make the other happy for a good life. Too bad they don’t teach this in school!!! Thank You❤
Absolutely agree. Catherine is an exceptionally talented narrator and have I come to search and look out for more of her reading. She sure has the ability to make my imagination in creating these characters in my mind's eye flourish.
There's more coming from this author. Ebony is licensing several of her novellas to me for TH-cam... look for one a month or so for the next few months!
Do you guys remember that show from a while ago? Remington Steele? I wonder if the author did that on purpose, right down to the ending 'e' represented as "steely"?
Hello Sherri. Oh yes, it absolutely was deliberate. I adored the show Remington Steele, and love a good pun. Plus, I loved the fakery of one person doing all the work and another as the 'face' of a business, which is what happened in the TV show.
But it isn't a Welsh accent! Nothing like. It sounds more like an ItalianAustralian trying to sound Irish or English. A Welsh person speaking English sounds lilting and almost musiacal.
@@cathbilson Oh, was not aware of it. You know better then, I rest my case. I am not a native English speaker, but lived in Cardiff for 5 years in the early '80s, and did not hear such an accent.
Cardiff is the opposite end of the country! The UK has a lot of different regional accents and they can vary enormously within a short distance... see Liverpool vs Manchester accents and the cities are only a few miles apart.@@ragingsea6667

I'm pretty sure that was exactly the author's intent :D

How I love the Welsh accent ❤

❤
The Welsh do not have an accent.
I'm Welsh by birth, born 20 miles from Caernarfon.
Neither does my Welsh husband, tee hee!
