Which Standard 5* do you think is going to age the best with time?
My money is on Jianxin. If I lose enough 50/50s on her I might be tempted to buy her S6 from the shop.
So far mine is S2
I've lost to her exclusively.

It's possible getting Verina's S2 will become a regular occurrence among players later down the line as we can get two Sequences for free. Jianxin is good but S6 is... tough to get.
all my 3 50/50s loss are to jianxin. I’d say at S0, she is just a liberation grouping bot + healer set carrier. At S2, she actually became a lot better as a support because now her concerto is going to be ready much faster to fill up if the rotation is long. (25 seconds or more)
what`s actually super fun is DPS Jianxin, the utter fun I get from seeing a support demolish contents in the game(not as fast as main dps characters ofcourse) is satisfying, and her animations are addicting. Im just bias that`s it lol.
as a Calcharo Main, I Never Recommend building him
Especially since we're likely to get a free limited Electro Main DPS in Xiangli Yao literally next patch. I've seen math floating around, and overall Calcharo only slighly beats him at even investement if doing the 3 DM rotation. He also has almost all of his damage repartition in liberation and doesnt need any swap cancel, so Yinlin is fantastic for him
same here, tho i really like his kit. It kinda reminds me of Jecht from FF Dissidia (psp) + the VA of Sephiroth

@@qwertysysysyysysysyzz if im not wrong, his optimal rotarions include a lot of swap cancelling and tight time windows to get 3 enhanced attacks with his ult where having to dodge even once messes it up, so he is very complicated to get the max damage out of him

Yo Calcharo is losing so bad even before so called powercreep, welp at least he looks cool.
There are like a ton of reasons why he is bad right now, but as a resin whale, I am still going to build and test him, because I’m doing that to everyone. Release of xiangli Yao, new electro 4c echo in future, better 5 star limited broadblades are all future possibilities that he could become better, and before you question the xiangli Yao thing, the thing is people in the test servers in China are recently testing the xiangli Yao plus calcharo team comp and they are amazed at how strong that team is. Now I don’t imagine this getting much attention in the west even after xiangli Yao releases because quickswapping is not at all popular play style in the west, and most people just play C to B to A to C and repeat, but just to stop my meanless yapping, yes he looks cool
Jianxin is almost certainly one of them.
AOE damage, shields, a counter that completely neutralises one hit, huge shields, over time healing capabilities that don't require her being on the field, her stance being able to reach 100% damage reduction with the Turtle Boss echo for 3 hits and her outro being an almost universal boost... Yeah she is going to continue being useful for a while.
It also helps that her Sequences are so good that getting a copy of her doesn't feel bad.

Jianxin is unfortunately pretty much always a DPS loss past her ult. So while she'll retain value for a long while by virtue of her ult alone, all her extra utility is pretty much void in the current content. If we ever get repeatable content which a lower DPS check, but a higher damage check than TOA, her value might increase _(which isnt even garanteed considering how vulernable casting her forte leaves her),_ but as such DPS checks are way too tight to justify her fieldtime.
She could've been an actual S tier if her forte was swap-cancelable, but the insane time it takes to cast on top of the DPS loss from building it up completely takes away the benefits of playing around it
I disagree. Rotation speed is everything for a support. It's the sole reason why Verina and Sanhua are the 2 best supports in the game. This game revolves around Intro/Outro, and supports that have 3-5s rotations will completely overshadow the others.
@@zippo718 At S6 she can really pop off since she can basically trigger her full shield by releasing her forte as soon as she starts the cast then using the enhanced skill it enables. At 90 minmaxed, thats roughly 15k shield with 3k healing per tic, actually quite impressive
Combined with her S2, this basically lets her do a very condensed rotation of Intro --> Skill --> Skill --> Forte --> Skill --> Ult --> Echo --> Outro while triggering all of her kit
As such she can also build purely for damage, which with the high MVs from S6 actually makes her condensed rotation completely viable since it drastically reduce both her field time and the DPS loss of filling up her concerto
The main issue is that most of us will never ever get her to S6 to beguin with, unless they somehow shower us with free selectors, or turn the standard banner into a selector
her rotation speed honestly sucks tho and this is coming from someone trying to make her work for tower
Encore is pretty safe for a bit. She's still good even if you never use her liberation. I only use her as quickswap and only leveled her skill and forte.
I actually think Jianxin isn't that future proof. As the game goes on, it's more and more apparent quick rotations are king for supports. The combat basically revolves around Intro/Outro skills. Every dps they've released so far has to Intro in or they lose massive dps or ruins their rotation. It's why Verina is the GOAT, and why Sanhua is a top pick in almost ANY team (for example Changli's double intro rotation team). Her buff doesn't even matter, her concerto speed alone makes her a top support.
no way brother said its ok to never use lib on encore when almost 70% of her dmg comes when ulting. you should have 100% ult uptime if u play your rotations right.
The thing is in time in future where we get multiple copies, jianxin’s value ramps up more than other standards characters and when we get that s6, shes basically zhongli from gi

In the end Calcharo is still gonna be useful even if Xiao gets added theirs no need to FOMO for Xiao as Calcharo can still clear the current content, pull for Xiao if you like him if not who cares if he has 10k more damage said by spreadsheet those only matters if you can pull a perfect rotation everytime etc.

Not by much. Zhezhi will bring a 25% Skill + 20% Glacio outro next patch, and she's actually a minor upgrade buff-wise for him over S6 Sanhua's 38% BA & 20% Atk given his repartition. She'll still be a team DPS upgrade by virtue of her 5s motion values alone, which the added benefit of being playable airborne, but she definitely wont carry him to the level of Encore & Havoc MC on her own
If you are f2p its actually not a problem cos you dont get many characters and ironically enough you have more resource to build them.
also outside of tower it doesnt matter you can play whoever you like. The first point should be - do you have fun - do you like the char? Chixia, Alto can clear holo 6 while being at the bottom of the tierlist.

I'm F2P UL 51 and I have only maxed out 1 character to lvl 80 with max weapon and max lvl 8 skills. Currently going for my 2nd character to max. My resources are already drained.
@@Metrex008 its understandable at UL51. I am 58. I spent all my extra solvent on leveling materials. All my map is cleared/ToA at 21rombs etc.
I dont do tacet fields outside of double event and still have enough sets. At my level I fully maxed 3 characters skill weapon etc. Changli + signature, Yunlin + signature, Encoure. Even Verina/Bazihi are at level 80 with lvl 20 echoes. Only 2 charters are at lv 70 and maybe I will never raise them Taoqi and YanTan
my point is its doable but it takes time ofc. Its a skp patch for me so the next 50-60 days again I have nothing to do but level my existing chars.
@@ixirion same I don't do tacet fields as well that's why resources isn't a problem for me and I'm kinda patient in building characters anyway lol. But my biggest bottleneck is the weekly boss mats though.

I’d love to see a sixth standard 5* added to the roster in the future to diversify the existing standard lineup. Preferably a SubDPS or Support so they can help fill in very vital roles in a team composition without demanding lots of resources. A support can be left at lower investment tiers, while a SubDPS mostly just needs to be proficient in filling their concerto energy, paired with a potent Outro. Adding this new standard 5* doesn’t have to be soon, it could be as long as 2.0+ before they do. But when they do, I personally think it’ll just make the game that much more fun.

@@crownedking_cj8890 Doubt it. He has similar sequence scaling to the other 5 limited, which pretty much gives it away. Standard get 30% from S6 in average. Limited got 100%+ so far

Relatively speaking, I learned from HSR to keep my building to a minimum in order not to go broke (e.g. I'm a light spender).
I'm very glad I did the same and saved up credits from Simulations and Events. I'm very frugal with my units. Only have 6 raised (Verina, Mortefi, Jinhsi, Jiyan, Encore, Changli)
In my honest opinion, if we're talking about purely meta, Verina is the only one who's going to survive the cut at S0. Her sequences just make her more comfy to play. At S6 (which is possible if you save enough Coral), she will cement her role even more. You can get her for free if you picked her from the selector, she's incredibly easy to build, etc. Her healing is just one part of her kit. You're using her as a concerto bot, ATk% buffs and the fact that she's useful in almost every current team comp. The only way to nerf or at least ease up on Verina's usefulness is for Kuro to release an onslaught of HP%-scaling DPS/Supports. Because otherwise, she's still going to be incredibly useful as you need three teams for endgame content anyways with the current Vigor system.
The only major issue with Verina is that her intro/outro leaves her prone to be hit, which a limited sustain could obviously fix. However, you can live you that because she needs minimal field time anyways. Spam Basic, Skill, Burst, Turtle Echo, repeat/interchange rotation ad naseum.

Verina and encore. Encore only because shes a strong dps for a standard unit and for tower she can be ideal unit to have to use 1 of your 3 teams. Plus some team comps are available. Bonus is how strong she really is. So gettinf her C6 will make her even more valuable for team comps that can use her or even just for fun. Plus she has cosmic/yinlin's signature. Add in yinlin to her team or a sub dps like zhezhi or a future one later she'll keep shining.
Shes the equivalent to tighnari who's a atupid strong dps in rhe standard and only gets better by having cons and can use MH with furina to the point with MH + one of his cons [i think c2 or c4 that gives crit rate] + his signature he hits 100% crit rate. So you can focus purely on crit dmg, em, and atk%. And his dmg output is only slightly behind Alhaitham's if uou can pull it off.
Calcharo already is gonna get powercrept on 1.2

im gonna be real, encore, verina, and jianxin seem to be the best from the standard banner when it comes to the long run. encore has good aoe and has herself some unique capabilities, aand the limited rectifiers(based off yinlin's) are pretty useable for her. verina is an amazing healer with buffing potential, and jianxin is like an offbrand zhongli.
As Lingyang main, you still can obliterate all content with him. Most of CC's who say he is trash, never even ever touch or play him.

My friends called me crazy for picking Jianxin over Calcharo as one of my choice 5 stars. Look at them now. He was clearly the Diluc of this game. Good at first but powercrept after 1-2 patches.

Verina is a must & Encore would be the one I would highly recommend. Jianxing is a reasonable pick but not mandatory.
Just lost my first 50/50 on Changli to Jianxin. Was super disappointed. Now thinking about her buffing capabilities im actually happy that I got her. (I also had enough saved up to get Changli 68 pulls later)😅

The longest lasting 5 star is without a doubt verina, she builds concentro energy ridiculously fast, she’s a healer an can deal actually decent dmg if built for it. After that I feel it easily goes

Ik people are gonna think I’m crazy for putting calcharo above jaininx but I play both very well an a lot an I seriously feel she’s just worse right now. Takes way more field time then calcharo at s0 to build her concentro and forte bar. unless ur running gauntlet 4 for the healing it’s hard to proc the healing set on her right away in toa or hologram bosses as a support. Dps wise she doesn’t even come close to calcharo. Especially for their sequence nodes where caly buff himself an his team by a good amount. Maybe once I get her first 2 sequence nodes that buff her forte generation which in turn buffs concentro gain I’ll think she’s a better support. But as of now naw. Then lingyang is self explanatory, just has the worst dps scaling an falls behind caly an encore.

S0 Jianxin is one of them most underwhelming 5* period with imo Baizhi being staight up better unless your main dps is pure Liberation dmg.
S6 Jianxin however just transforms into on of the best units in the game, that can be still played as support, but also as sub dps too, and insane one at that. Her S6 state even compared to S6 Verina is cracked, which is crazy to think about since S0 vs S0 is massive gap in Verina's favor.
Im UL 58 day 1 player, with 50+ solvents stored, 3 million gold and 50% map cleared. I have lvl 80 jinhsi n Jianxin with lvl 70 5* weapon on them. I didnt invest much in echoes only have like 70cr 200 cd + 1800 attk + 200% er on jianxin and on jinhsi its 50 cr +210 cd +2000attk. I have lvl 70 ascended verina, yinlin, changli and jiyan, not lvling them as i dont like their playstyle. Jianxin and jinhsi are my mains. Most of the time I invest my plates on character lvl, boss and talent materials. I don't farm echo fields. Currently farming simulator only as lvl 60 is coming up to lvl up my mains and their weapons.
I have 2 accounts my main which is battle pass/subscription and a f2p account. My main is at 61 and f2p is 56 but my main feels so lackluster than my f2p. My main has the jinhsi team comp with yinlin and verina which is godlike right,, im doing like 400k E with spectro buff tower cool, but i also invested into calcharo and he simply isnt doing the damage for the second team(even if i use a yinlin). So that account pretty much relies on jinhsi for everything. My f2p account has the jiyan morti comp and the changli comp with encore and its literally on par with the main at a lower world level while feeling alot better. Nerfing calcharo prior to release was so devastating not to mention hes so easy to have dps loss if your rotations arent on par, lol.
Also another thing i want to point out is that five star weapons for dps seems like a must imo. The gap between 4 stars and five stars even with just raw flat attack is huge compare to like genshin. Im using the BP sword for cal at r4 and it still feels ass. Thats probably why wep banners have no 50/50 just my hunch but man 4 stars really aren't great dps wise
Well since they’re a must, it’s a good thing then that there’s no gamble on pulling them and also that they’re shareable between teams :)
If you still have the free 5* casket, you can slap Lustrous Razor on Calcharo.
Having said that, I'd wait for the new Electro gauntlet resonator coming next patch. If he's free as the rumour said and is a better DPS, then maybe it's time to retire Cal. But if he's not free, give Cal the 5* Standard broadblade.
Your Yinlin acc will pop off in 1.2 since we're getting a 5s Electro Main DPS in Xiangli Yao. He also has almost all his damage repartion in liberation since his skill and forte scale off it, so Yinlin is a fantastic partner for him. A reputable leaker said that we'll get one free copy of him for clearing an upcomming event but this one is to take with a grain of salt, since even if the leak is valid, it might very well be related to the gacha GOTY and only scheduled if WuWa wins
A limited 5s weapon is around 30-50% more damage than a BIS 4s depending the character, with some exceptions like R5 Augment on Encore which is actually slightly better than Cosmic Ripples.
@@seraphoftheend5768 I've seen maths laying around, and with equivalent weaps, Calcharo seems to still have slighly higher DPS if doing his perfect rotation with 3DM. I do think he'll scale much better with deepen buffs tho, since he doesnt happen to need any swap cancel aside from his echo. For most people he'll be a straight upgrade regardless given Cal's much higher skill ceiling

My hot take on standard 5*:
1. Verina
2. Encore
3. Jianxin
4. Lingyang
5. Calcharo
Verina is a no-brainer, easily the best, slots in every single team imaginable.
Encore has her BiS supp in Sanhua that enables super comfy rotations w or w/o Verina. Alongside her very respectable dmg output. IF you have Yinlin's sig, a lot more future proof imo.
Jianxin is more of a flex, not really a staple on a single team, good to have.
Lingyang plays a similar way like Encore, using Sanhua as his BiS currently, the only downside rn is that we dont have a Cr/Cdmg 5* weap for him to utilize, 5* standard gauntlet is bad.
Calcharo on the other, is so GUTTED from everything nerfed around quick-swapping. His kit being revolved entirely using his full stack forte on ult also doesnt help, coz you have to RESTART the animation whenever you dodge, severely reducing his dmg output.
Also Zhezhi outro will buff Glacio dmg by a lot and she's a sub dps so maybe she will make Lingyang somewhat more playable
They just need to remove the dodge canceling thing and it'll be far better
as a very (very) light spender I always just build one true main dps and the rest can be supports and sub dps that last for a hella long time before getting powercrept

Verina because of how busted her healing is and how fast her concierto energy fills and Changli because of her massive Outro Skill buff

Just gonna reveal who: Verina.
Heals entire team, buffs entire team, good for any team, great rotation. She's invaluable.
Support who can buff damage and heal or provide any sort protection will always be top tier. My money's on Verina
I would only replace Encore when they release a Fusion character that perfectly synergises with Changli, until then I'll enjoy what I have and keep saving Astrites
Jianxin might get buffed soon via a shield echo set. Encore and Lingyang are prrtty safe for now (only main dps of their element in the forseeable future, problem is, glacio kind of sucks in general)
Verina is Verina, we might still be using her until 3.0 unless Kuro pulls a Ruan Mei on us
I think Calcharo actually has less value than Lingyang. According to some leaks, the next character is going to be an electro character that works similar to him but easier to use and higher total damage. There is also news he might be free which makes him easily obtainable. Compare this to Lingyang which will get buffed hugely by the new 5 star coming in the second half of 1.2 and since he's the only five star glacio character. His only problem is his that his talent damage has numbers that scale similarly to a four star.

Jianxin is definitely the most interesting character out of the standard roster. Hope we get some sort of damage reflect at some point, that would work really well with her
Thing with jianxin is even tho shielding is rare ability, I don’t think it’s that valuable at all because most of the time interruption resistance is what we need and this is not Genshin where even baizhu’s paper thin grass shield can give you literally infinite interruption resistance to tank 1 hit. In wuwa, you can have a thick shield but you still get knocked around easily. Currently, the only one that can, on paper, provide teammate with both shield and interruption is yuanwu with sequences, however, I believe it’s his interruption resistance buff is completely bugged and I don’t see it making a difference. I.e, I still get knocked around by every single attack that could knock you around
A lot of characters have innate interruption resistance that works very well against most enemy attacks. For example, you can tank a lot of hits in the air as Jinhsi as long as you're in the middle of an attack animation.
Calcharo's Death Messenger is another moves with these qualities. It can only be interrupted by VERY large, telegraphed attacks.
Shields in this sort of situation work fantastically, especially with longer animations like Calcharo's.
@@saintontasyou are right, a lot of characters give to themselves. jiyan gives IR to himself during liberation. Sanhua gives to herself with S2, yuanwu technically gives himself but it’s like cyno level, lingyang gets it with his S1, changli with S1, xiangli Yao with inherent skill 2, jianxin with forte.
Calcharo has no innate interruption resistance even with full sequences, and he gets easily interrupted when he’s doing normal attacks that accumulate 5 killing intents needed to perform a death messager, and it’s very hard to perform 3 death massagers in harder content.
Encore has no interruption resistance but her dodgecounter is very powerful and it chains into her most powerful normal attack, the 4th. So encore is happy to dodge because it doesn’t really decrease her dps. But calcharo tho? He needs a zhongli for him to get keep normal attacking without dodging because his dodgecounter does not give killing intent, and dodging pretty much means no third death messenger.

I am heavily investing into Verina and Jianxin atm, so far both have been invaluable, meanwhile my Calcharo is perma benched, I don't haver Encore nor do I want her since I already have Changli fully built as a main Fusion DPS, and the Lion Twink is at lvl 1, building him would be a waste of resources.
tbh i think no one from standard can avoid being outclassed, maybe verina and jianxin but they aren't needed in the endgame, for skill issues only i think

Encore is great to lose to repeatedly but Jian seems to suffer from being slow utility girl especially for shield and healing hence I use baizhi and even Yang have better grouping.
We can get 2 Sequences for free in the shop by saving materials from pulls. So if I get two copy of one of the DPSes from the pulls, I could get another two when patient.
Verina's S2 is amazing and I wish I pulled her S1 instead of Calcharo. But oh well! At least there's only 5 standard characters and I own 4 of them. Getting sequences is pretty likely and this can at least make a standard DPS last longer.
Also I just love Encore' s design. I came to the game because of her and Jiaxin and I got both of them by pure luck. Never regretted spending time with this pink haired gremlin. She's hilarious and taught me to do quick swaps quite well.
I had a feeling calcharo was gonna be bait after the quick swap nerfs and seeing what happened to diluc from Genshin lol. So got jianxin instead
All 3 standard pool main DPSes scale very poorly with sequences. They roughly get a 30% DPS from S6, while all 4 limited got 200%+ so far. So i really wouldnt spend the mats on them considering how limited they are. Without S6 4s, you need to do roughly 500 pulls in average to get 360 for a limited char waveband. So definitely not worth it
Do the standard 5star characters get rotated out?
We don't have any news on any rotations into the standard pool so it might just be something that gets added to in future versions.

One thing that I'm a little upset by is how few 4* characters we started out with.
When Genshin was released there was 14 4* characters, with 4 of them (arguably maybe 5 if you include Fischl) still being used today as sub DPS characters and supports. I just don't really see that in this game, considering there is only 9 that were released, and the only future proof 4* characters I can really identify are Mortefi and Baizhi (MAYBE Sanhua if you're being especially generous). Of course this may be attributed to the lack of a reaction element in the game (of the 4 characters in Genshin mentioned previously, Xiangling and Xingqiu are absolute powerhouses for reactions), but I'm still quite disappointed we didn't see a stronger 4* roster.
Also given how slow Genshin was to release new 4* characters, it worries me a bit for WuWa too. Of course over time there will be more 4 star characters, and hopefully good ones with more general buffs (maybe not quite as strong as Bennett), but for now especially with the release of Changli, I'm finding it difficult to pair her at the moment, and I really don't want it to turn into a 5* fest, given that we ALREADY have more 5 stars than 4 stars.
I do really enjoy the game so far, and I think that it will turn out pretty much as successful as Genshin with how much engagement is currently shown, but I really think the 4 star roster needs to be beefed up, and ideally I'd really like to see it stay equal with the 5* roster (for reference Genshin is currently 40-44 in 4star-5star)
Anyways, rant over, let me know if you disagree but really I don't really see the game being healthy if this isn't something that is kept in mind.
Lost 50/50 to jianxin (s1) on changli… i felt good lol… i love her… i have selected 80 pull banner still and will pull for her s2. I dont mind getting her copies… got verina on first 50 pull banner… dont have other limited 5 star… got lucky

What you talkin about every character plays just about the same, more so than Genshins.
This "Aerial Combat" is just smoke and mirrors, but even more risky with next to 0 rewards. So its always hilarious when people pitch a tent for this crap lol

Changli's optimal performance requires another fusion damage dealer on her team. You can pair her with Chixia or Encore for the best results.

Verina and Jianxin will chart. As for dps, I really don't trust dps unless they do have the biggest role in the story like JinHsi.
Jianxin is a hidden T0 character. She is so freakin' broken cuz she can function as a main dps while being very tanky.
Calcharo is trash tier compared to her. Encore is decent. Verina is decent for being a support unit. Lingyang is a budget Gaming and may become completely irrelevant.
