Good video. Can always get a personal property insurance policy on it or bike insurance from GCN if you want that extra piece of mind if someone breaks through the lock.
I bought a golden track neo chrome. I had the single speed fixed golden cycles in chrome and loved it before it got stolen. a lot more than the neo. man! bikes are addicting. to think after moving to scottsdale as a aged young adult my life consists of waking up early to ride 20-25miles before work just for conditioning.
If you adjust the bolts on the rack legs so they are smaller, the basket will sit a little lower and more snug with the bars. (I also think it looks a lil neater) :)
You should try clipless pedals. They take a little getting used to but once you are accustomed to it you will wonder how you ever got along without them.
To be honest, if you like this style of bike, which is kinda retro, yes this is the best budget version. There are cheaper single speeds out there, but they'll limit you in tire width. I have a state 4130 myself and my employer paid for half of it--and of course I've gone through the same types of upgrades. There's a local bike co-op near where I live, so its easy for me to get spare parts, etc, but buying new or from a retailer as you have done is a great way to ensure you get parts that work or have a warranty at the very least.
I just bought one of these bikes and ive been taking it to work and back every day.... Its pretty solid and i can beat the bus on my comute save money and i can smoke weed while blasting music. Its fantastic. Id say better than taking my motorcycle
Pro tip when removing rubbery handles, shoot a little windex under them (if you can pull them up a bit at least) and let it slip in a bit. Makes it easier to slide off.
Chromoly single speeds for life! Nice bike.
Super sweet setup!👌

Fixed gear is to fun to pass up on.

Good video but I wouldn’t call this a review

u didnt build the bike??? WTF?? thats half the fun of owning a bike! learn and adapt! i buy used and rebuild! make it my own styla
Flip your rear wheel mate, fixed gear is the way to go
I dont think true single speeders care about brand pre built stuff
