I love this channel! I E-fing love ships like this. The NX-“Akiraprise” 🙄, was a seriously missed opportunity to see Humanity at is finest with only warp technology to play with. No beaming, No phasers, No Impulse, No typical saucer section type ships. Just Rocket powered warp ships where just arriving alive to your destination can be a challenge like the UESS Emmette. (which I hear was actually going to be the Enterprise but was rejected by the stupid studio saying that fans wouldn’t like it because it’s not typical Federation enough) 🤦 Where’s that star trek story at? lol
If the NX-01 Enterprise was the first ship to have phaser weapons and started out with standard plasma cannons, and the Ganges class was built before the NX-01 Enterprise was launched, how did the Ganges class have phaser turrets?
Whatever happened to Roddenberry's warp engine concept? His concept was they had to be two nacelles (p/s) and they required interaction between each nacelle to generate the thrust. They also could not be blocked. So many models threw that away (even within the original series, honestly). So how is the working[s] of warp engines fleshed out now?
Well I guess that depends on who you ask. In the Bissigverse, I can tell you that things such as line of sight for the Bussard collectors, and connective space between the two nacelles with line of sight or some other forum of connection is still a thing. At least for united earth ships. If any UE ships mess with that we will be sure to have a good explanation.
Interesting point to make... so in short, for the Bissigverse, the answer is yes. As we will see in later episodes a couple of these ships will end up in Romulan hands. Starfleet would transfer some to the Norkan Free Fleet, which are a rebel group inside Romulan space. These rebels would sup-these ships up alot more then starfleet did and really did a number on the Romulans with them. A couple would find there way into the hands of the Romulans, as how wars go, and this would be part of there planning for there next generation of ship designs.
Iv always liked the Delta, but it always reminded me of a Romulan bird-of-prey. What happened in this verse to accelerate technology? Warp 2 wasnt originally broken until 2143 with warp 3 being 2 years later & dont get me started on shields.
For me it was almost the opposite of thinking bird-of-prey, coming after DS9 it made it seem like Defiant class type frames less of an outlier in Starfleet design concepts
@@SpocksGlock , if its the whole fusion warp vs m/a warp, didnt the displays in First Contact show the Phoenix had a m/a reactor assembly? If m/a warp was used aboard the Phoenix then all ships that follow would.
@@SpocksGlock FC could mean fusion core, but then you have to look at the line in the silo. Crusher says that Lily has theta radiation poisoning... theta radiation among other things, is a byproduct of antimatter waste and nuclear material produces neutron radiation.
hey trekyards love your videos, been trying to get my message seen, can you post the correct height on the Stargate Promethius video as your stated Height is off, scaling the front and side image reveals the height you quoted to be wrong. thanks for the great work hope you do more Stargate stuff too.
Hey! will try and remember as i am in Kent atm. comment on my latest fan film this same commwnt so its something i will re se when i get home on tue. the film is called back to yesterday :D
If you don't have technology like shields, you have three options invent, steal, or find a dead ship with shields and back engineering them. For stealing them from another species, you need something like section 31.
I am very sorry but I much prefer the original version. Yours is very cool and I really like it but I just like the original. The original is probably my favorite Star Trek ship so I'm very picky about it.
Each to there own, as a reminder this is a separate / pocket universe from the prime trek timeline so its not intended as a retcon or replacement of the warp delta on the show.
It's funny that people who have nothing to do with the actual Star Trek shows think they know better than the people who work on the actual show and the original designers. My father was US Air Force in the 1960's and was part of the Special Weapons Project and worked on the U2 , XB-70, the B1-B many others and they all had different paints and looked nothing alike. So your idea that all ships would look similar is just wrong.
Well - all the ships I have been on, and all the C-5's, C-17s, and C-130s I have loaded cargo into also all had the same paint scheme... so eh, I was not a sailor but I think most of the time the ships look the same or they at least are intended to.
It looks even better upside down. 2:21
I love the fan designs, they're the main reason i watch
very cool! I love these shorts!

Man i would love to see this thing in action.
Thanks!

Take a note that it was a thing only until TNG era. In those shows Starflet mastered warp geometry to the point that it become less significant.
I wonder if this was the design that the Romulans stole to create their ship in Balance of Mercy?

It is interesting to see the early history ships. Though they do very much resemble Romulan ships of the time?
The F U Warp engine, I know there is a joke in that somewhere but I will let someone else come up with it.
Hey trekyards just reminding you to post corrections on the stargate Promethius videos about its scale/proportions.
keep up the good work.

The early ships didn't have phase cannons. They had plasma cannons and later upgraded to phase cannons.

If this ship is also designed for personal ship, previous Saturn class would be perfect heavy vessel carries.
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Love this design, this and the Daedalus class make more sense as Starfleet for this era than the Akira clone NX
Thanks!
Ganges was in the show. NX was produced in relatively low numbers and was decommissioned only ten year later.
Looks Romulan. I guess that doesn't save your praetor's pride.

I thought the Ganges was a Frigate class? At least I could swear the novels refer to them as Frigates. Why did you reclassify her for your universe?
