The game itself looks very interesting visually and story wise, so I'm pretty hyped to see how it'll be on release and what other character themes they will release, definitely gonna try it when it comes out! Also yeah you're right about the time travel. Story wise it's some sort of alternate history setting where magic exists, and in year 1999 happened some sort of cataclysm that made the time go backwards for almost everyone except the main protag and select few characters that are immune to the effect, so we're just kinda travelling around trying to understand why the big thing happened and how it can be fixed. Devs seem to be proudly pointing out how every playable character will be a representation of a certain culture in a certain period of time, and how all of them will have a very authentic voiced dub with an appropriate accent.

Reverse 1999 travels many different times and regions. You can enjoy diverse characters and music after 1.5weeks later!!
