While entering the room, I have noticed that the candidates always seek permission by saying “May I come in Sir”. However, often time, there are female panelists as well. Hence, I think just “May I come in” or “May I come in Sirs & Mam” would rather b more appropriate.

Dear viewer, we are glad to come across a young aspirant like you. The very first eligibility criteria for UPSC is the requirement of completion of candidate's graduation. Thus, we would suggest you focus on completing your school first. But while being in school, you must focus with utmost attention on what is being taught because this will only help you in your UPSC preparation later. You can also choose a good newspaper to read. It can be The Hindu or The Indian Express, but make sure that you read it regularly and religiously. It will serve dual purposes- updating you with current affairs and improving your vocabulary as well. We wish you the best for your future!
Hi Sourabh! You have to start by understanding the syllabus of UPSC. Then you can start reading NCERTs for clearing basic concepts. While managing your final year , you can start following any of the relevant newspapers to keep yourself updated with current affairs. Once you make a habit of it, you will be able to prepare in a more sustainable way later on. We wish you all the best!
