Awesome to see an ASMRtist with a passion for sound! I work in a studio where we focus on score mixing and ADR for film/TV. Totally agree with the "making the sound design blend with the music" thing. There's a certain rhythm to the Star Wars sound designs - nothing out of place or overdone when it could so easily have been. I adore the original trilogy, but I have to say my favourite sound in any movie ever is the seismic charges in Episode II during the Obi Wan/Jango Fett space battle!
I've been a subscriber now for a while and with each video it becomes more and more apparent that you have the skills, vocabulary and aesthetic taste of a sound designer-and now that you've bought this book, I have to ask: ARE you a sound designer by profession? I have worked in sound design for 6 years (and been an ASMR enthusiast for 2 of those) and Ben Burtt is one of my biggest heroes in the industry. Much respect, I love what you create :).
Thanks thanks thanks thanks!!! I was waiting for another video. I saw Blade Runner because of you, what an awesome film. And now a video of my favourite saga of all time! Thank you very much, i mean it!
Also, I just wanted to say thanks for all of your hard work. You can tell how much effort you put into all of your videos. Your soundscapes are works of art - really impressive and super effective!
Hi Matt, thanks for watching :) I have been a sound designer in a freelance capacity on several small projects as well as an instructor. Mostly, I just do it for myself these days, choosing to devote that energy to helping people relax on this channel. It's great to hear from a fellow sound designer who understands Ben Burtt's incredible contributions to sound!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that :) The effort on the soundscape videos is a labor of love, and the feedback that I get from so many nice people like yourself is very encouraging.
Next to the soundscapes, these are my favorite kind of ASMRByDesign videos. When you flip through a picture book and talk about the interest things written in it. Very relaxing Great video
I'm thrilled that it worked for you :) I'm a huge fan of these sorts of videos, myself. I think my favorite one of all time is VisualSounds' Harry Potter book video. It puts me into an instant ASMR trance whenever I watch it.
I love hearing from other sound designers :) You are absolutely right, the seismic chargers were an amazing sound. JustAWhisperingGuy said the exact same thing to me the other day, in fact.
this was relaxing and interesting at the same time... thank you.
Thanks!
I choose to believe that it's awesome :) Thanks for watching.
My pleasure!

Hey Luke, thanks for asking after me. I am working on a new soundscape now! I hope you are doing well :)

Your voice is like mixture of Fergie and Jesus.
