Yeah right on, James Murray! This is some dope shit right here. Heavy as fuck! Excuse the vulgarities, but sometimes you gotta say it. Kevin Parker rocking a Voyager?! Hells yeah!
QOTSA are so supernaturally tight that it takes an entire team of masters to match their sound. Good song, good cover, cant help but feel that Kevin Parker was underutilised here, however.
So the LAV segment is an original song and a cover. The original was "Daffodils" which is Kevin and Mark's song, so I reckon he was included at the last minute because he essentially already had his moment.
Hey man, 7 years later I remember this exact comment being used to describe Sticky Fingers bass player or the drum player for Murlocs cover of 'Every 1's a winner'. I've been using this quote for ages, so if you originated it that's hilarious af 🤣🤣
I do this song... I love that the singer sits behind and then rushes that how I do it! The vocal on this needs to be jazzy bluesy and unhinged in-line with the subject matter! Great cover!
Glad I'm not the only one! QOTSA are such a unique and talented band, courtesy of the ginger god that is Josh, and their songs are almost impossible to cover well. Despite a few lyric flubs, this is a damn fine cover, and J-Ho and the guys themselves agree!
amanda Marsland Nor mine. Getting to meet him was literally the high point of my existence, the most gentle, sweet, humble, softly spoken guy you'll ever meet
amanda Marsland I met him at an EODM gig in London last June. Jesse and Dave Catching came out first, who are such awesome and fun guys, then Josh came out. He looked at the crowd, which was only about thirty or so people, and you could see the surprise in his face that all these people were screaming for him and desperate to meet him. He made his way around everyone, was totally okay with me hugging him (he's been my idol since I was a kid), and was just so sweet and funny. He had to leave early though as Brody was waiting with the kids at their hotel.
I can't get over how good this is. Queens are my favourite band, that is one of my favourite QOTSA songs, and I think this is an improvement! Stunning.
Ya know that moment when you see that there is a cover of an absolute favorite song and you are sure that it will be crap? Forget that moment instantly, this is spirited and musical, taking things somewhere very cool - love.
Someone on Reddit told me to listen at x.75 speed while stoned. I’m glad I did it was a great vibe. Not quite as good as the regular speed but once I listened enough to catch the wave it was a chill ride. The intstrumental bridge around 3:45 sounds actually better slowed down.
For the first time ever, I'm glad I'm so much older than the cool kids. This epic treatment of an already-stellar song is a very obvious homage to Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street (my favorite song when I was five years old). LOL @ all the feels over the Miike drop.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that was so good! This song is one of my favorite songs from the "Like Clockwork" album and QOTSA's discography and they did pretty well in my eyes!
Haatchii Mhhm I preffer the original version 1000 times than this, actually I disliked a lot what kevin parker has been making recently, including tame impala's last album it's a pitty
Mark seems to have a great taste of music - it's a big shame that I've never heard of those musicians that he invited to the show, however they were simply awesome. By checking those bands, I can certainly heard the musical inspiration of them, like late 60s Beatles, Nick Cave, etc. Also the lead vocal on this one was phenomenal...Great performance!
I am so happy this is back up! It’s one of the best performances ever.
Edited?
@@enioantunesrezende5330 The lead singer included a couple N words in the original
Yeaaaaah! It's back! 😊
no
I thought it was because triple j did the triple j thing of banishing Kirin J Callinan.
This might be the best cover of any song ever
Yeah right on, James Murray! This is some dope shit right here. Heavy as fuck! Excuse the vulgarities, but sometimes you gotta say it. Kevin Parker rocking a Voyager?! Hells yeah!
😂😂😂
Lennon alone has 20 covers better than this .
Waiting 7 years to see it back on youtube 😂
Same here!
QOTSA are so supernaturally tight that it takes an entire team of masters to match their sound. Good song, good cover, cant help but feel that Kevin Parker was underutilised here, however.
Facts. And I hate covers but this one hits different
Sure queens are Best live band around this side of galaxy
So the LAV segment is an original song and a cover. The original was "Daffodils" which is Kevin and Mark's song, so I reckon he was included at the last minute because he essentially already had his moment.
That bass line 🔥🔥🔥
who is the bass player ? (i don't see one in the video, maybe issa blind)
@@gouldney1 sorry I should’ve clarified - keyboard players doing the bass part 👍😀
@@gouldney1it’s normally Michael Shuman in the normal version. And he tears it up way more than the soft synth bass version
That Kirin j Callinan fella looks like he's come from outer space via campbelltown in the best way possible
***** That Andrew Wyatt fella looks like Rick from The Walking Dead.
Brownefinger007 True that- Andrew Wyatt looks just so bad ass (Y)
+Sam Playford "outer space vi campbelltown".. holy fuck that's a fantastic description
Hey man, 7 years later I remember this exact comment being used to describe Sticky Fingers bass player or the drum player for Murlocs cover of 'Every 1's a winner'. I've been using this quote for ages, so if you originated it that's hilarious af 🤣🤣
Shit hahaha
That singer is insane
+Craig Lane Andrew Wyatt, from Miike Snow

Check out Miike Snow's "Ghengis Khan", but be sitting down, for safety's sake.
This is just gold. I can watch it again and again and it honestly just keeps getting better and better.
This cover is just brilliant. Probably I listened to it 20 times today.
this bassline is melting my soul bruv
I do this song... I love that the singer sits behind and then rushes that how I do it! The vocal on this needs to be jazzy bluesy and unhinged in-line with the subject matter! Great cover!
the best cover that came
out from triple j sessions.
The bassline is the best thing in this cover
Those bass keyboard players are on fire, the grove is strong with those two
One of my favorite covers ever
still listening in 2023
I am a big QOTSA fan so this had to be something special to impress me & it doesn't disappoint! AMAZING.
Glad I'm not the only one! QOTSA are such a unique and talented band, courtesy of the ginger god that is Josh, and their songs are almost impossible to cover well. Despite a few lyric flubs, this is a damn fine cover, and J-Ho and the guys themselves agree!
Ginger god that is Josh, ha! Totally agree 😃 he can do no wrong in my eyes...
amanda Marsland Nor mine. Getting to meet him was literally the high point of my existence, the most gentle, sweet, humble, softly spoken guy you'll ever meet
That sounds interesting, tell me more! (the closest I have been is at a QOTSA gig!)

Queens of the stone age man...one of the best bands of all time check em out if you can. You won't regret it.
Thank you so much for putting this back online. THANK YOU
Kevin Parker just sitting on an amp like ehh whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
he has this part on this adventure, he is training and then he is in.
Chill guy forever 😊
It finally came back on youtuuuuubee, thanksss Triple J!
Stunning and I have never paid any attention ever to QOTSA. revelatory on many levels, thanks guys.
Simon Wilson Listen to the original, so much better. Hell listen to their first 2 albums and their latest one, all masterpieces.
Simon Wilson Very jealous of the countless great songs you have yet to listen to...
+Kei Nguyen lullabies to paralyze 😍
+EllysaE Na Ellysa, there is no way that is as good as the first two albums! I reckon it's their worst!
Needs to be on Spotify

One of the best covers ever, happy to see this video back on TH-cam!
Soooo happy it’s back!!! I
They should be a band
You have this whole bunch of superstars, still Andrew Wyatt eclipses all of them. Magic 🤩
I feel like Mark has this amazing ability at picking out and bringing out the best in artists.
Finally it's back! Why on earth did you hide this video for years😢
I’m so glad this is back up. I’ll continue to let the solo melt my face off again!
They need to put the daffodils performance back up

I can't get over how good this is. Queens are my favourite band, that is one of my favourite QOTSA songs, and I think this is an improvement! Stunning.
This is real music made by real musicians
Shout out to anyone who can do a good cover of a Queens song. Man I love this so much!
Ya know that moment when you see that there is a cover of an absolute favorite song and you are sure that it will be crap? Forget that moment instantly, this is spirited and musical, taking things somewhere very cool - love.
All I can say is fucking YES! This is incredible.
This made my day finding this video
I’m so happy I found actual video of this. I had only heard the audio. Miike Snow meets QOTSA? Yes. More please
Easily one of my favorite covers.
Surprised that Kevin Parker isn't snapping his fingers throughout the entire song.
indiesongaday Ha. Good one.
OMG I can't believe this video is finally back.
Someone on Reddit told me to listen at x.75 speed while stoned. I’m glad I did it was a great vibe. Not quite as good as the regular speed but once I listened enough to catch the wave it was a chill ride. The intstrumental bridge around 3:45 sounds actually better slowed down.
I also came from that post lol
I just can't get enough of this cover! I love the original so much but this cover killed it!!
Incredible!
Honestly it's been 10 years and this still hits the exact same - history
Those are the same guys that did "I'm Just Ken" from the Barbie movie. That's awesome.
I came and stayed for Kirin. Love that man!
Epic cover. Good to see it back online

Absolutely amazing cover. Still come back to this years later.
Awesome cover!! Mark Ronson rocking it- with a tight as band!
Hipster Kirin J Callinan killing it. Great player.

Sweet profile pic, i was at that concert! Small world...
Mark definitely has one of the best rhythm sections going around god damn
mark brings his signature funk to a great song as always
Excellent! I expected this level of quality coming from Mark.
The bass ties this whole thing together.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that was so good! This song is one of my favorite songs from the "Like Clockwork" album and QOTSA's discography and they did pretty well in my eyes!
2:48 he looks so happy
This cover still hits me in 2024
Andrew Wyatt working a fine cover of one of my fav QOTSA songs. Now that was nice...real smooth like.
Still the best cover version out there. Masters at work !
That bass is melting my soul.
Loved this. Everything so awesome. Love the synth bass and the crunch keys.
QOTSA one of my favourite bands ever. dope song. enjoyed this cover.
Please Mark, produce a new "Version" album and put a studio version of this on it.
one of the best covers ive heard. Ronson is a fucking legend.
Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson e Kevin deram um sabor a mais pra essa música!
Missed it, soo good 👍🏿
Neat version. Shows just how difficult it is to sing and how awesome a vocalist Josh Homme is.
Totally awesome................ loved it!!!
Impeccable arrangement
josh must be crying now
Manuel Pinto From their FB page ... "A damn fine cover if we do say so our damn selves."
Manuel Pinto What is the issue? I thought it was incredible.
Haatchii Mhhm I preffer the original version 1000 times than this, actually I disliked a lot what kevin parker has been making recently, including tame impala's last album it's a pitty
+Manuel Pinto So what? Kevin is not even singing... Hating so much, huh?
no way, it was a great version. brought something new to it
I would totally buy their cd
Bass just walking all over the place!
All here are killing it.
Kevin sitting on the amp speaker is so cute.
Ladies and gentleman That mic dropping was on the beat!
Very cool. From Russia with love!!! Thank you!
That is a very cool arrangement of a fucking amazing song.
Mark, Kevin AND Andrew together..and covering a QOTSA song... I just exploded someone come pick me up please
Merci ! Cette vidéo n était plus visible en France pour des raisons de droits depuis quelques années. Que de souvenirs !!
This would be the greatest supergroup of all time.
Mark-Wyatt-Impala! Love it!
It's like an event when Kevin Parker gets a new guitar
Holy hell. This is freaking awesome.
BRILLIANT!
Amazing cover
Wow, so cool!! I love this song and this version is awesome, guys! :P
Essa versão ficou tão bom quanto ao original... bem legal mesmo !
Hell yeah, sick version! And the synth player nearest drums is a fucking maniac. whole approach to this song is really tasty.
Why was this set taken down again? Glad it’s back up.
Great cover I love the bass!!!
Hey, Mr Ronson, 1976 called. They said 'Niiice'.
