QOTD: Hatterene for sure. Indeedee was what made it so good post DLC, with Psyspam support coupled with a redirector that allowed Hat to set its own trick room.
Finished watching Players Cup today. Wolfey's been saying that the residual damage G-Max attacks need to be given more respect, and he was proven right again.
QOTD: Like I said yesterday, I’m no vgc expert. Vgc2020 is my first season. But I think that Trick room will be less popular because with no psychic surge and follow me indeedee hatterene can easily get destroyed by fake out. Even though it was not used much. Beat up will also get a nerf to the fastest pokemon dragapult and prankster whimmsicott being banned. Drakloak might have potential. Sun got the largest nerf though. No Venu and torkoal means no good core. I have seen people use charizard and ninetails but in my opinion it doesn’t really work. Sand also got nerfed.
dusclops trick room will always be viable. drakloak is trash lol. sun and sand is done for the only viable weather is rain. gigalith and ninetails are bad setters and they got rid of the best weather abusers with it.
Beat up got better, with big threats out of the game like cinderace rilla toge etc, you worry less about losing y dyna each turn, sneasal is a good beat up cause it can’t be fake outed, out speeds most of the meta and can be used with coalassal, Weavile can do the same but is faster but can be fake outed, alolan Persian imo is god tier, it can set up coal and the sword of justice, while getting amazing tech like fake out knock off parting shot, swagger snarl quash psych up icy wind hypnosis growl flatter fake tears charm burning jealousy and roar, which if u can’t tell, that’s a lot of support move, plus this things got fur coat which doubles its def which if maxed out will be 224 which can like an urshifu atk, only down side to it is it must water pulse a coal to set up coal has a chance to confuse, which can be annoying but still is usable, also is very weak to special atkers but in most teams with terra, cob or coal, u want massive threats like drap, rotom wash etc. all in all I’d say beat up is very much alive and will live for a very long time, btw I was built a team with coal alolan Persian and cob, it still works in today’s meta, what makes it even more crazy is most people don’t know what alolan Persian does and if they do they never know what it has cause it’s impossible to guess what 4 moves it has.
Blastoise has been my favorite pokemon since gen 1 and it's carried me to masterball tier ever since its gmax form was available. Losing important redirectors such as Indeedee and Togekiss hurts it since I usually try and go for a safe shell smash, and terrain pulse was super powerful with Indeedee and Rillaboom on my team. I feel like Blastoise is weaker in series 6 because it's losing important teammates that it relies on (at least in my teams).
@@marcus-cano-hawkins7451 I use Amoongus as well, but Indeedee is usually the safest since it stops fakeout. Losing psychic terrain pulse/max mindstorm is also annoying, but not as much as losing the grass-type terrain pulse/max overgrowth that Rillaboom brings.

Can still use switch in moves (flip turn, volt switch,eject pack, etc ) or Sac a friend guard Clefairy run screens/Aurora veil. . I wonder if this is a tease for more surge user and more Pokemon getting access to type changing moves like electrify or magic powder in Crown Tundra
Ronny Crawf umm no, u either use specs nine tails which can’t have tech and won’t have bulk or I get bulky nine tails with a low damage out out, torkoal could/ would/ did mop up almost everything, oh your a water type dead, of have flash fire, DEAD LOL, torkoal did everything while at the same time was rarely a threat until u remembered that specs eruption ohkos everything

QOTD: I think psychic types take the biggest hit, specifically Hatterene, who I see being much harder to get going without indeedee’s psychic terrain + follow me

Driftblim lost its best teammate in Rillaboom, also Hattrene lost Indeedee so both are at a loss. Terrain in general is worse since the two good terrain setters were both banned.
Weavile / Sneasle can be put on a team with Coalossal + Sword of justice to make the opponent guess if it's going to be beat up, surf, or both. Also, with the meta getting weaker and slower they will be more frequently picked as offensive mons. Resurgence of Conk might put them lower though.

No, since Dragapult is going to KO it in one hit anyway! Urshifu often carries Focus Sash, so Quick Attack breaks a potential Focus Sash

A one hit KO on a Dynamax mon with a spread move is very satisfying.

Leebob didn’t realize how good Persian would actually be in this format, especially without Cinderace around to outspeed and KO.

Leebob life orb HJK one shots unless you have max HP and a lot of Def and it’s still a roll for an ohko.

Have you tried sash Butterfree or amoongus. You could always sash a frailer redirection user .

Max Bulldoze Dusclops won me 2 games today! Electric terrain is not nearly as good as psyspam was.
Just fyi, flare blitz does more against Dubwool than brave bird because Dubwool's ability Fluffy makes it take double damage from fire moves
