My wife bought one of these used, it was probably a former rental. It wasn't horrible. It didn't have much power and the CVT transmission always felt like every shift was going to be its last. She liked that it sat higher than a regular car (although before this she was driving a Trans Am so almost anything sat higher) . She also liked that it could haul a little more. It turned out to be a gateway vehicle; her next vehicle was an FJ Cruiser.
That's not true. We had the GTI, Lancer Ralliart hatch (250 hp turbo 4, slightly detuned evolution motor), WRX hatch, and Europe had the Renault Megnane, Seat Leon, and the original Focus RS. Dodge built this to compete with those, and it failed. Horsepower isn't everything. It was terrible on a track setting where everything else annihilated it.
@@STICKITINYOUREAR then why buy a Dodge Caliber? Cause it's the worst one on the market. Dodge killed it after one model cycle for a reason. One of the most unreliable cars in the North American market.
The Caliber sold well in the first two years because Chrysler would finance to people with worse credit than other companies. Then the 2008 crash happened, and they could no longer do that, so sales nosedived.
I actually like it from an economy car standpoint, it gets good gas mileage, and with the seats folded down you have a lot of carrying capacity. The interior is plasticky but it's a hard plastic that's durable and easy to clean. Seats are comfortable and theres plenty of leg room for a tall driver. All in all, I'm sad it didn't catch on.

I bought a new Base in 2007. Still have my Cali. 180k miles on her. I've replaced the throttle box, alternator, clutch (I have the 5 speed manual), air cond compressor (I live in the South). It's been a great car. I was a mom with 3 medium aged kids when I bought it so the plastic didn't bother me. Fairly easy to clean. The chiller came in handy for long trips. Excellent turn radius on this car too (turns tighter than my husband's Corolla). Yes, it takes a bit to get up to speed, but once you're there, it cruises nicely. I found the seats comfortable enough. Stereo was good. I have never once regretted buying my car.

I was really confused about this car when it first came out, especially on the heals of the neon. It was like an suv crossover before there even was such a thing, and it simply didn't have what it took to define that segment.
Owned an SXT and an SRT. Both were great cars. However, their fatal flaw was the fact it felt like sitting in a Tupperware container. Plastic and cheap. Otherwise we loved both we had.
Well, if I can tell you. This is really a tough car. I have it and I'm tough on it and it's still going strong for 10 years now. As long as you do routine maintenance on her she's happy.
Speaking as a european...the car is beautiful. It looks like an suv, powerful, safe, and modern. And its not too agressive as to scare off family people. Its not expensive, especially used, and its not meant to be a Maybach or a Bentley, the interior, is just fine. And aside from the ridiculously unprofessional reviews, actual reviews from mechanics state that its a solid, reliable car, especially with manual transmission. As someone in the comment section said, I think the car was ahead of its time.
I own a caliber srt 4, and I agree with 90% of this video. My car is extremely fun to drive with the same bolt on option modifications as the neon. In comparison the neon feels faster but the caliber still makes more power number for number. Both of them have their own flaws, but I wouldn't trade my car for the world. Great video though!

I’ve been waiting forever for this video! I owned a 2008 Caliber and I do have to say it is a neat little car. When I first saw it I was like “what the hell is that even supposed to be?” It wasn’t a van, or really an SUV. It was like a big 4 door sedan or a very small SUV. But after being able to drive with it over the years I can definitely say that the quality of the car was so poorly designed. Ours has the CVT transmission and after driving for longer periods of time it overheats so we basically have to pull over and wait for it to cool down. It’s a known problem with the transmissions on the earlier model Calibers. Plus it’s a Jatco CVT transmission which is junk to begin with. Car has just over 150k miles on it now and that’s really the only major issue. One gripe I should mention is that I absolutely HATE the seating and view in this car. I just have the base model so the seats don’t move to my level. I’m a pretty short guy and I have to sit on something because the seats just don’t go up. Plus the worst part is when I need to check behind me for a lane switch, I find it really difficult because the design of the whole cabin obscures my view. Yeah it’s a very VERY slow to accelerate car (the base model we have) but hey the engine still runs with proper care, and the transmission still shifts good so hey, I can’t complain. But these reasons are also why I feel it was cancelled. Excellent video
11 years with my srt and love it, 0 issues and completely underestimated... as you proved. Also there were more options for the srt then you stated. Reasons for cancel was sales yes but the cost of them building the srt was just not profitable.
I truly believe they stopped the srt4! and 6s definitely the srt6 because they could compete and sometimes beat the srt8s. I had an 2004 srt4 stage 3 and the normal bolt on upgrades and I could beat srt8 spinning through 3rd gear. My brother had a srt6 that would give even the new srt8 a hard day. If they made the srt4 dart awd like they where going to it would of killed the srt8 sales badly and that's a fact. Oh well and this is why bean counters suck. The srt line up I consider like a special edition they don't need to make profit off them when such a small batch of them are made. It should be made for their hard core fans. It should be looked at like giving back to their hard core fans.
My daughter just bought a 07 SXT 120k miles for $2800 the interior and body is in good condition and it runs great, SO FAR, lol The onky thing ive found wrong is it needs struts, going to fix that very soon... She loves the way it looks and so do I, I think its a perfect first car, Its not to big or to small, my daughter is short so she was scared it would be to big for her and she wouldn't be able to see over the hood but after driving it once she was fine with it, I'm 6,2 and I fit behind the wheel fine so pretty much anybody can drive it comfortably... Hopefully it turns out to be a good first car, 🤞🏻
I bought an '08 SRT-4 brand new in 2009. I got a great deal on it. I still own the car and it's a beast and the large hatch area is very useful for my job as well. The only things I don't like about it are poor rear visibility and the brake pads it came with were garbage. It's been very reliable.
I own one of 5574 csrt4 ever made,MY09 I am the second owner, owned it almost 8 years. I love this car, its special even if its interior is made of cheap plastic, it looks and is, hard to the touch and boring and dull grey, however this car was not made with luxury in mind but functionality and performance and value for money. Most people do not know that the interior plastic is not some cheap plastic, it was made out of a composite plastic thats durable and capable to stand under the deserts sun and withstand high temps without cracking. Once you get inside it and sit on the big bucket seat (you feel that the seat is hugging you) and you drive it around for a bit then you will not want come down. The shifter is where it should be, the 6speed manual transmission is German made by Getrag, it has racing breed. You feel great when changing gears, you feel the car through the transmisdion, you find yourself playing with 2nd 3rd and 4th gears more often as it gives you the joy of boost and acceleration. Its weakest point is, like someone mentioned already, its aluminum block. Once you sleeve that block however, this weakness is resolved and becomes safer, more tunable and bulletproof like the the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo engines, only the Caliber has 400cc more and this translates potentially into more power if you decide to hit some serious numbers. Sure it has a shortage in parts, since its been discontinued officially, however most parts, sensors and peripherals are being used by other vehicles from the Chrysler group. Also, mitsubishi and hyundai share same parts. Some mentioned the sound of the engine or the lack of sound insulation (noise from the road etc).. The car was made with performance and low cost in mind, besides if you turn on the radio with the subwoofer you don't really care anymore for exterior sounds. The caliber srt4 community has gained very large knowledge around this car and keeps going strong providing solutions when needed. Mine is one of only five ever imported. In the streets you can see easier a Lamborghini Murcielago than a CSRT and that makes it more special on its own right. And I love for having a heavily modded one as the power it makes (way beyond stock) can take down easily 99% of the cars out there that cost 3 and 4 times over. Cars like Mercs BMW Porsche Ferrari etc. And this is a humble Dodge.. Whoever onwed one surely misses it despite its flaws and errors and can remember how it felt having one.

I'm actually driving my second Dodge Caliber right now. I had to total my first (orange) dodge, because of some crappy wiring by the former owner. Totally fried and burned the wires after it shorted out. After driving Honda for a while (busted the gearbox) I found a silver Dodge Caliber for a reasonable price. It needed some love, but the car is pretty good. I did put some rubber bump rings in the springs to make it less sloppy on the road. Works like a charm. for me, the weirdness of the car is a definite PLUS. I love an underdog as a car. I also have a 1974 Mustang II V6 Ghia. One not so loved by Mustang purists.... But still... My great grandmother got her SXT brand new in 2007. When she passed in 2016 it was willed to me and all I can say is this, I want the SRT now. The calibers are an addiction. Also if you add coil overs (even cheaper ones) it DRAMATICALLY improves the ride and feedback from the wheel

My SRT4 gets tons of attention and questions no matter where I am. Gas station, work, gym, I've even had previous owners ask me how I like it. They're a bargain for how much power you get and I agree the interior isn't the nicest place to be, but you forget about where you're sitting when you drop a few gears and floor it anyway. Love my CSRT. Hands down best hot hatch from the late 2000's in North America.

I’ve had an ‘07 since 2012, has 220,000kms on it. No drivetrain repair, lots of suspension repairs, as well as a new alternator. Mine had the issue of letting rain into the left floor where it would pool. This was easily repaired once the source was found but it did irreparable damage to the left floor that will need complete replacement to stay ahead of the rust before it all lets go. It’s been a great commuter, although the 2.0 is gutless, I can bury the throttle as well as the needle but it barely pulls. I’m not winning any drag races with it. Do the Dakota next.
I love unique fast cars, so I feel like the SRT Caliber would be perfect for my collection. Unfortunately, just like you said, Dodge had a tendency of imagining bland interiors. Everything inside seemed cheap. Also, no leg room in the back. This was supposed to be a passenger car, so where was the space and comfort? I wanna compete with Neons, and this car would've been great. Perhaps I can drop motors in my 1g Avenger
They never should've offered it in that light grey. The car looked plasticy to begin with, but the grey just made the problem ten times worse. It's so hard to place what exactly it is about this car that makes it look cheap, but it *does*. My question though: What was the $35 price difference between the SXT and SXT Plus trims?
I bought my 07 brand new. I haven't had any major issues with it at all. It's got 220k miles on it, & I've only replaced struts & control arms in the last 6 months. The starter & alternator where replaced about a yr ago. I've been very happy with it. I plan on keeping it until I can't get replacement parts for it. Getting ready to replace headlight assemblies this weekend.
I bought an SXT Sport new in 2009 and have put 188,000 trouble free miles on it since. The CVT is always in the right "gear" to accelerate, the mileage in in the 30s on the highway, and I will drive it until it dies.... excerpt it has a lifetime warranty on the powertrain, and I might just drive it until I die.
Hello, ı have one question. I have only 3 choose With my money. Dodge Caliber 2007//Honda civic 2007-8 / Opel Astra hatchback 2009 // I am student in Russia. I will go University and after university ı will work with this car sometimes. UBER/Taxi 🚕. But ı very love this design CALİBER STX 2.0 benzinie&gas in 115.000 miles. There is rust on the door edges of the car. While waiting at a red light, the engine shakes a little. These are the bad things I've seen. But this seems like the best option for the money. I like the design, the height from the ground. How much do you think it will cost every year for repair? is repair cost high then Honda or Opel?
My wife bought a 2012 Caliber SXT new with 8 miles after the announced discontinuation at a heck of cheap price (one of the last ones sold at our local dealer) in September of 2012. My wife has used it for the last seven years as the family grocery getter and it has accumulated just over 11,000 miles. I absolutely hate the thing but it has been a nice little put put for the wife. The issues I have with that car is all in the interior. Terrible fit and finish, the plastic ocean all over the inside, seats that are a torture chamber for my herniated disc in my back, absolutely no foot room for my size 13 shoes. Then that terrible CVT transmission it works and does what it is designed but absolutely feels like a rubber band being twisted. This car is a typical Chrysler that has almost no insulation, noise vibrations and harshness are thirty years behind and it is boomy and loud in the interior going down most freeways. The car has been stored in a garage its entire life and therefore looks brand new and the only things done is oil changes every four months whether it needed them or not and two recalls one on the airbag recall and then the cat converter was replaced on a emission recall and what surprised me was the emission recall actually got a little bit better performance out of the Singer sewing machine under the hood. MY wife likes this car so it sits unused and ignored by me except to keep the battery charged and having the maintenance done at regular time periods. It does get her reliably to the grocery store and back home with the food and never left her on the side of the road like her old PT Cruzier that was in the shop more then on the road. I had driven Chrysler products for over 35 years but after the disaster of the PT, I swore off and moved on to different brands that were more reliable and comfortable.

I got to ride in a caliber SRT. The dude had built the engine upgraded the Turbo System and other bolt on parts and that was a really really fast car for what it was. Easily pushing over 300 horsepower it was a sleeper
I bought one new in 2007 after my beloved Neon was totalled. I still have it. I love the manual transmission and the stereo, but I have had to basically replace the front suspension every 50,000 miles. The what, sub-frame, or whatever, was total rust. The plastic in the interior is harder than stone and very uncomfortable on elbows. Tiny rear window. No tachometer, though a stick. Still, after all these years, CANNOT judge how close I am to cars in front or behind. Paint going away. Because of the stereo and the manual transmission am keeping it until I can buy a new car. Have grown to like it, but it is a crap design, as if an afterthought. Changing a brake light is horribly difficult. Somehow I have had to change only ONE bulb in 12 years. Oil leak began about 16 months ago. Not bad. Sensor failures are horrendous because the car is fine, but failure of the sf sensors make it undrivable. At this point I am fine with it, but it was a crap job by Dodge. Looking forward to a new car, but if I cannot find a manual transmission I will keep it for that.

@@tunacetinkaya2179 I don’t know about the RT and SRT, though structurally they are probably identical. Outside of the suspension it’s been a good car with a great stereo. Good gas mileage, about 30 miles per gallon. But, I’ve spent thousand$ on front suspension problems and have had to replace both sub frames. Last repair was $1600 mainly for the rear subframe (used, with control arms) and a tie rod, but also other stuff. Two separate sensor failures made the car undrivable even though there was nothing wrong with the car itself. I’ve had it 14 years, 128000 miles. Haven’t had to fix much else, though, beyond normal things (brakes, tires). Only rust is driver’s door. Paint is wasting away (probably my fault). If you like the car and how it drives then go for it, though I would not purchase another 2007 Dodge Caliber myself. Check out why it’s shaking, though. @@tunacetinkaya2179 The engine seems reliable, it’s a matter of the sensors not going bad. Definitely find out what causes the shake and anything else that needs attention. I cannot judge it without looking at it or knowing details. I know that I drove it 1100+ miles to Fort Myers, Florida and back and during that week there (circa 2300 miles total) with no problem, but that was in 2013 when it was not very old. It's a crappy Dodge, so not quite. Wait! Hear me out before you all jump down my throat! I was almost killed by one, so I think I can speak here. The subframe rusted out severely, almost to the point of just disintegrating right on the road. Keep in mind it was taken care of like a baby; nothing bad ever happened to it. I loathe Fords, and yet I've had one for almost 3 years, never washed it, and I never had even single problem.
I have a 2009 dodge calibre SXT. It has been giving me problems since 2018. But recently has tramissiion problems affecting the computer. It's parked in the garage whilst trying to figure out what to do with it. Any ideas to help me find a solution?
Australian 2007 RT Caliber, LOVE the car, was purchased as a fill in while waiting on our 2020 RAM to be built. Fantastic on fuel. Biggest problem we have with it is the crappy centre console

If u want the cvt to performance in top shape like no other trans u need to remove abs pump feed fuse and abs valve feed fuse in fuse box number 34 and number 35....then recalibrate it to learn to drive for five days and it will shift fast and easy.after u remove the fuse it won't shift. So recalibrate will teach it to shift all u need to do is drive .i have to tell u how to Recalibrate.
Yes just like any car you have to maintain them maintenance wise and from what I've read throughout here and throughout the Internet that the reason people have trouble with the caliber is because they don't maintain them
I know this is an unpopular viewpoint, but I really, really like the styling. So different from the usual meek look of economy cars.

I agree. When they first came out I went to the dealership to test drive one. The cheap interior turned me off of buying one.

No, they weren’t that cheap. Plain interior is one thing but this was really cheap plastic interior. At the time I had a Mark 4 Jetta and it had a simple interior but the caliber had plastic spoon cheap interior
Shocking that Mercedes was responsible for that. Once that particular yoke was thrown off, Mopar interiors improved.

I actually like it from an economy car standpoint, it gets good gas mileage, and with the seats folded down you have a lot of carrying capacity. It attracted me because the price is cheaper and I like the design much more. But unfortunately, the Calibers that came here are of the kind sold by auction from the USA. often accidental. One or more of the windows have been changed. And I saw a 2007 Dodge caliber SXT advert here. 2.0 petrol naturally aspirated engine. cvt gearbox. At 114,000 miles. $5700. (Honda Civic 2007-8 $6000-7000.) How do you think I should decide? In my spare time, I will earn money by taking a taxi. I can go 80-100 miles every day. This dodge caliber has started to rust. By the doorways. and in the lower team. It needs paint. I will do these. But does Caliber have a chronic problem? I can give a maximum of 1000-1500 dollars a year for repairs. and it compels me. But I already plan to ride until next summer. Until then, I want to save some money and buy a better car. If you were in my place, which car would you choose? It will be my first car.
I was really confused about this car when it first came out, especially on the heals of the neon. It was like an suv crossover before there even was such a thing, and it simply didn't have what it took to define that segment.
I got a 08 SRT4 and the thing is a beast. Absolutely love the car. Perfect dad wagon. Love the videos!!!! Also have a 98 Dakota R/T. Love my Mopars!!!

I know you posted this two years ago. However, how is the handling and the steering? I'm considering buying one of these to "upgrade" from my tuned mk5 gti
@@peeepeeepoopooo7541 Not good. The vehicle was panned by journalists for being top heavy and handling like a dump truck by comparison to its predecessor.
But the Neon is lighter and has a lower center of gravity, making it faster in every category.
I remember a girl who I was into owned one of these. I was so impressed with the "chillzone" lol!
I purchased my 2008 Dodge Caliber SXT 1.8 5 speed used in 2012. It had 169,000 miles. Drove it 5 years and gave it to mother in law and purchase a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. Needed a better handling car for winter weather. My mother in law last summer wanted to sell the Caliber, so i asked to buy and she gave it back to me. It got a lot of rust while she had it. So i'm doing a full restoration of the car. Also going to replace the 1.8 with a 2.4 during this restore. The car was always fun to drive so i'm going to add a little more to make it more fun.The car now has 245,000 miles on it,

I saw it more of a PT Cruiser replacement than a Neon replacement. Though the PT Cruiser didn't really leave until early 2010.
Yeah that’s fair I mentioned it as replacements for the PT cruiser and Neon. Everything I read showed that Dodge wanted it to fill the compact car hole the Neon left (like even with the SRT4 models)
@@MarspeedCars I heard you and I agree. I was just making an observation. No argument intended. 🙂
Matter of fact, the Fiat-based PF Dart was more of a Neon replacement than the Caliber was.
Brandon haha no argument from me! Just having a discussion 👍🏽 yeah the Dart is where I believe they really screwed up. Coulda been a Neon 2.0 and if done right I think it would have done very well

Yeeeessss!!!! Make an LH video
the coolest moniker on YT here: allpar300_M!!! & yeah, i had a '95 Concorde, 3.3L, great car. with good year aqua treads, she ate snow like nobody's bizz! as good as any non awd perf ever in snow. ive driven it all since '84 in wisc. the thing was unstoppable.
A full on LH video is in order. These full size sedans put Chrysler back on the map for some time!
@@WinkelManBearPig ...i recall reading about how an Intrepid R/T..basically a slightly longer 300M..was on track and about ZERO V8 rear drive cars at the time could keep up. @@dontrustwhiteyevery1 You still commented. Haters gonna hate. ...
Excellent video
thats why u dont get a base caliber
So the biggest problem with the car is that you were too short to drive it? :)
I have 08 srt4 with 285,000 miles it runs great
Yo es are tea for!
Have an 08 with the 2.4 cyl and 5 speed, great car for highway use eventhough the interior is pretty cheap its quite comfortable
Interior might be plastic, but its easy to clean. Water, cloth and done.
I bought an '08 SRT-4 brand new in 2009. I got a great deal on it. I still own the car and it's a beast and the large hatch area is very useful for my job as well. The only things I don't like about it are poor rear visibility and the brake pads it came with were garbage. It's been very reliable.
In Car and Driver May 2006 it lost a comparison test against Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent...
@Muzik Michael The Hyundai and Kia were simply better built cars... Plus, those models have proven to be way longer lasting than most Calibers...

@@tunacetinkaya2179 don't even bother to choose the Caliber, go for the other two. Among the Calibers the only version that's worth the trouble is the CSRT4 and still don't go for it unless you have money to spend on it. But yeah, the design of the Caliber is unique somehow, btw I still own mine and still enjoy driving it even though I can buy something else for my daily driver.
Still driving my 07 Caliber. Not the sexist car in the world, but I love it :)
I really like my Dodge Caliber.

I love My Caliber Body styling.
I've had a caliber 7 years. 130k miles. Everything works. No service engine or check engine lights. It does lack performance. But once it's at 75 mph it stays 75 mph. It doesn't overheat. AC super cold with max blast. It's easy on gasoline consumption. Sound system is loud and clear. Although it is kind of tight inside. It's a good beginners car.

The SRT four from the exterior was very nice but cheap plastic inside we compare the Dodge today
I have a Dodge Caliber it’s my first car I turned 16 in March this year
I bought an SXT Sport new in 2009 and have put 188,000 trouble free miles on it since. The CVT is always in the right "gear" to accelerate, the mileage in in the 30s on the highway, and I will drive it until it dies.... excerpt it has a lifetime warranty on the powertrain, and I might just drive it until I die.

The biggest problem I had with my 2008 Dodge Caliber is the cheap suspension parts especially the ball joints and control arm.
So much creaky noises and piss poor thin subframe..

You don't need to build the motor or upgrade the turbo to get 300hp. They're basically there stock. Just a mopar stage 1 pcm will put you at 300.
Hondas are definitely more reliable and longer lasting, but make sure you buy something you will like and care about. That’s important, too. You car is part of you and your life. If you hate it you won’t be a happy person
@@christopherhazel2837 Thanks for your valuable reply. In summary, where I am, prices are Civic 6500-7000$ Caliber 5500-6500$. Opel Astra 5000-6000$. so they're all pretty much the same. all automatic transmission.. I really like the look of the caliber. It has a CVT gearbox. 2.0 petrol. and the seller said the price was $5700. with a discount of about 300 dollars. Tomorrow we'll go and get your engine checked. If there is no big problem, I want to buy the caliber. I will drive the car an average of 80-100 miles per day. The car came here by auction from America. I think he has an accident. i will get it checked. I like Honda civics too, but I haven't found them in good condition yet. Do you think a healthy caliber would be too much trouble 80-100 miles a everyday? now mil is 114.000. Is the electrical part too problematic?
@@tunacetinkaya2179 The engine seems reliable, it’s a matter of the sensors not going bad. Definitely find out what causes the shake and anything else that needs attention. I cannot judge it without looking at it or knowing details. I know that I drove it 1100+ miles to Fort Myers, Florida and back and during that week there (circa 2300 miles total) with no problem, but that was in 2013 when it was not very old. Other than the suspension issues and sensors it seems pretty reliable otherwise. Don’t know about the ones with automatic transmissions, mine is manual. Mine also has an oil leak. Mine has about 124000 miles on it, but it’s also the base Caliber and has the smaller engine. It’s up to you. I hope I helped a little bit. Good luck
@@christopherhazel2837 thank you very much 🙏🏻
My caliber (2007) has 111,000 and still has a comfortable ride. It only takes great maintenance.
I actually loved this car :/
I drove a rental Caliber and hated it. I remember the uncomfortable suspension and how it felt kind of odd when driving. The interior didn't help either.
I love my 07 just some things are a bugger to work on. Super work car. I'm a renovator and can hold all my tools and 10 ' material
It’s not bad when you knock those back seats down. I used it to move me and my wife out of our first apartment. Lmao.
Hello there. I am a student abroad. I am Turkish and live in Russia. Before I saw the Dodge Caliber, I was looking at the Honda Civic.
I hope dodge can go back to making these types of cars but with more improvement.
Do the Concorde, LHS, Stratus, Dakota, Nitro, Sebring, Pacifica Crossover, and Crossfire
The dakota wasnt a flop was it?

I still drive my 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT. Runs great 146,000 miles on it - one transmission later, new front struts and ball joints - I LOVE IT... Its amazing how much stuff you can haul in that thing, moving several times, folding down the rear seats and folding down the passenger front seat - you have tons of room. I actually bought it because of the lighted beer holders on the console ;-)

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL THESE PPL ARE TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE 2008 DODGE CALIBER AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG TO THIS VERY DAY, NO PROBLEMS AT 120,000 MILES. COOL LOOK AND EVERYTHING😎
they never owned one. or anything probably, half of them bc smart alec kids..so don't mind the trolls. they're ..a waste of time, tbh. Caliber is a cool looking & perfectly fine car. enjoy it!

Can you do a video on the 2002-2012 Jeep Liberty/ and or/ 2007-2012 Dodge Nitro?!?!
Marspeed can't ignore the clamor for the Nitro review for long!! Keep up the grass roots!! Muahahhaaa!! They're pretty cool looking.
To be honest, they should've never discontinued the liberty. I have 03 and and '12 edition. These were beasts. The liberty kk (box style) have a high resale value.

I had an 09 SXT. Loved how roomy the interior was, and the bass from the stock stereo was great too. Didn’t love how the transmission went out on me on 4 occasions, being rebuilt, replaced, given a new cooler, and still failing.
Good riddance, but I do miss it.

Typical Chrysler: Great idea; great concept; poor execution. This car would sell like hotcakes in this current car market of mini-SUVs.
Do the Chrysler Crossfire next please!!!

Should do Dodge Stratus
Love to see so much pics of a spanish-plated Dodge! They are not sold here anymore.

Hey Marspeed, do you think you could do a the Dodge Nitro R/T with the 4.0 V6 next? I might end up with one for my first car and it's a little odd trying to find in depth reviews.
Hey man this is on my list for sure. I think I will do Intrepid first next week then Nitro will be the next one in the series after that!

lol
My caliber srt4 08 by far blows any Honda out the water the complements I get when I'm putting gas at the gym I never got those when I had my Honda civic also modified the caliber is a special breed the way it was designed it almost seems like they made it in 2020 wide body aggressive front fast what more can someone ask.
Caliber SRT8?? Now THAT would have been awesome!
I have a 2008 caliber sxt 391k miles. Everything is original. No major issues. I love it. Altho the cvt scared me day one and still does. Lol
I love my 2010 SXT, just oil change and my car is as good as anything. I drive a lot too.
You guys are really smart huh
Yes just like any car you have to maintain them maintenance wise and from what I've read throughout here and throughout the Internet that the reason people have trouble with the caliber is because they don't maintain them
Yeah keep spending money on that lemon maintenance the life back into that dodge al Bundy
