Dimensioning in ArcGIS

Add your dimension feature class to ArcMap, then add the Editor and Dimensioning toolbars. Zoom to the area where you want to add the new feature. Click the tool palette drop-down arrow and click the Sketch tool . Click the Current Task drop-down arrow and click Create New Feature.
