I've always wanted an open world spongebob game, where I can receive missions from my favorite characters. If this is that game then it is indeed a Sweet Victory.
So, like side quests characters ask you to do for goodies? I love games where the main story objective doesn't really need to be done and can just explore the sandbox. Example: Red Dead Redemption 2 open world map with a ton of side missions and doesn't force the player to do story missions. WE ACTUALLY NEED THIS NOW I THINK ABOUT IT
This is probably going to be the Ultimate Spongebob Game because they going to take Features from the other Games The Costume Feature from Revenge of the Flying Dutchman,The Creatures from Creature from the Krusty Krab and the Fantastic Plattforming from BFBB and The Movie Game and it should be more Openworld i'm going to get this Game.

I hope Nickelodeon doesn’t force THQNordic to release the game unfinished because I don’t want it to receive a mixed reception just like Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. They should let THQNordic spend more time working on it.
Based on the available information we already know 6 of the wishworlds themes: wild West, movie, prehistoric, medieval, Halloween and pirate. Maybe the 7th will be Christmas themed given the popularity of the Christmas specials. Any rate this game looks amazing and I can't wait for it. I'm sure Purple Lamp won't disappoint.
Regarding the fishhook swing, I think this could be a callback to SpongeBob's platforming levels in CFTKK, where there were times when you could swing from one thing to another.
Considering how hyped up Robo Squidward was, it was pretty odd for him to be exclusive to the multiplayer mode. Maybe he’ll be a secret boss in this game?
Kind of a long comment but as a kid Battle for Bikini Bottom was my second ever video game played and I always wanted them to continue it with another game the future consoles would eventually come out and over time and time I started to lose hope game became something I thought only me and my little brother knew about because none of our friends had any clue about the game's existence but when I discovered that rehydrated was getting created I discovered this channel and it's brought so much nostalgic back to my life and I'm so grateful for this Channel's existence with the new release I'm stoked and feel like a kid again I'm definitely about to give bfbb rehydrated a replay and an attempt of 100% and get this time
I think you might be able to swap between spongebob and Patrick at anytime, and that's why Patrick is a balloon. And maybe spongebob becomes a balloon and follows Patrick instead
I think it would be really cool if they made bubble buddy the floaty character vs Patrick. Also I would love to see a mermaid man and barnacle boy themed spongebob game where we get to relive some of the MM&BB episodes spongebob and Patrick talked about in the series especially making man Ray or the dirty bubble the villains in the series
Ive noticed that a lot of people are hoping that this is just bfbb again. Im hoping that they dont actually use a lot of the same things from bfbb i want this game to be able to stand out on its own and not just be the spiritual successor to bfbbr

I really hope this succeeds, but I do have a few worries about it. It seems like they're going for a costume platform similar to Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, and Balan Wonderworld. I really hope that this game doesn't suffer from the same issues that those games did, mainly Balan Wonderworlds lack of use for the mass variety of costume abilities. I would really prefer the costumes be cosmetic rather then making them vital to gameplay, it would be a safer route to have a set amount of abilities that you unlock throughout (I.e Battle for Bikini Bottom) that way they can design clever ideas that utilize the most of a characters moveset, rather then mini sections of okay sections that I need certain costumes to complete them with. But I'm sure that this game will be great in its own right!

What if they reuse the same hub from BFBB? Think about it, there are 7 Wish Worlds and 7 Taxi Stands in BFBB's Hub. The 2 confirmed locations "Wild West Jellyfish Fields" and "Halloween Rock Bottom" are based on 2 locations you could travel to by Taxi in BFBB. The SpongeGar level looks like it could be "Prehistoric Kelp Forest", we also see a downtown Bikini Bottom like area, and Larry's pirate outfit could fit in a "Pirate Goo Lagoon" level. The only things left are Sand Mountain and the Flying Duchmans Graveyard, but considering the Flying Duchman is in Rock Bottom that might be an issue.

Do you play Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2? It's not as good as Mario Kart 8, but is up there with the better kart racers on Switch. I think you'd enjoy it.

Does this game have Portuguese language? No offense, Tom Kenny is fenomenal, but the portuguese voices of SpongeBob are the most iconic voice acting I ever heard. A lot of people even say that Portuguese version is better than the English one, it's a shame that BFBBR there's no Portuguese language.

my guess is youre playing only as spongebob and patrick as a second player, and all the other characters shown are characters you find in those worlds to give you your objectives. And they have done. the patrick thing before in Truth or Square where Plankton was a floting ally shocking enemies for spongebob.
