Very nice collection there...I've shot one of these, unsure of the type...I'm thinking it was a Winchester 30/30...if that's such a thing, this was in Australia. I've often wondered why these rifles or the mechanism wasn't taken up wholesale by the armies of the period...cheers 😊
@steelhelmetstan7305 has indeed. Some tosser , an extra in a movie decided to go all method and fling it when he got shot. I had stern words with the director after that.

Cheers Stan. The rationalle at the time was they couldn't be shot lying prone but that a load of pants. Dead easy to shoot these from the prone
