I'm looking for something between 19 and 21 feet. Swing keels are common among these trailer sailers. I worry that any older boat I might buy would need the weighted swing keel removed and refurbished. That's a job I'd prefer not do. How is the swing keel on your boat?
I’m still testing her out. Of all the ones I scouted on criagslist this one actually had a keel that was in the best shape. It does lower and raise! I could probably replace the crank on it though as it is fairly old and rusty. I plan to splash her in some clear water one of these days and inspect below. Best of luck!
