    Hi, I'm so glad you're here. I love making videos featuring people I admire. Living as ourselves can take a lot of searching and determination until we find that it's also the most peaceful way to live. I love Bilal for showing us a way forward in outward appearance and the inner knowledge that within our vulnerabilities lie our strengths. I hope you enjoy the video and find new ways of thinking about what's possible with colour. 🌻

      I love Bilal too. I've watched a few interviews and they always strike me as kind, fair-minded, and funny :)

    I love Bilal Baig's look. I am impressed with the way they mix and match colours and textures. It feels exotic and rich and makes me want to add these elements into my wardrobe. I also love the lipstick in look #12. It looks natural and bright, without jumping off of their face. It feels like it belongs there. I also love the show Sort Of and the characters Bilal has created. Thanks for this colour profile. :)

      They really do create wonderful looks, that feel planned and spontaneous, eclectic and organized, original without being confusing. Thank you for mentioning the lipstick in look #12! I often wonder if others see what I see and 'natural and bright' was exactly right, without 'jumping off their face'. Entirely yes to all the Sort Of characters, they're all fabulous, Sabi's mother being one of my favourites. I hope her part grows. I love 'open concept', which could represent the whole program.

      I also love this lipstick on Bilal! It says “lipstick!” Without saying “A BOLD LIP”. I find that type of color very wearable for any time one wants to wear makeup to appear put together, but not dressed up. Would look good any time of day and with outfits both casual and more formal.

    Very inspiring, Christine, thank you so much 💛 I love how delicate and refined your vision and words are, when you analyze what you see and feel. I find it changes and refines my own vision when I look at colors and how the skin, the hair, the shapes and overall structure react to them… I realize that it is a real adventure, that nothing can be predicted in advance, really. ✨

    • @ChristineScaman
      @ChristineScaman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are most welcome :) I love hearing how you pay attention to your own feelings and interpretations as you listen to my thoughts and allow your vision to be shaped to be truly yours. Also love how you arrived at the best conclusion, that nothing can be predicted and the best approach is to settle into that and be an observer. We can't out-think how people will react to colour :)

    That was lovely! Really informative and open analysis.
    I'm surprised at how much I could relate to and learn from Bilal's colour analysis, I'm so pale that I doubted there would be overlap. but no! lots to glean.
    Thanks Christine!
    I wasn't aware of this show, not sure how- but I look forward to watching it now.

      Glad you enjoyed it! So interesting to me, how colour used in different ways can look so original. Also interesting that Bilal and I may be wearing the same blush :) Theirs may be a shade warmer than mine though (looks like Plum Princess, I wear Lucky 13).

    I find autumn so solid and powerful. It is always magic to see people in their colors. Unfortunately does not work on me. If I wanted to look near death I would choose autumn colors. 😅

    Ah what a delight! I binged watched yr three latest videos and it was pure pleasure!
    In my head i call them "readings" like in astrology or tarot cause it feels to me like you are analysing "physi-soul"(😬) charts!
    Worlds and words of colourful nuances, absolutely brillant 👌✨
    Thank you

    • @ChristineScaman
      @ChristineScaman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, it's wonderful to know you enjoy them and see colour and appearance as I do, layers of interpretation, a 'more than meets the eye' sensibility. This was the first time I'd heard the astrology-tarot reading analogy in this context, and there's so much truth in it. Faces are deeply soulful, in everyone, maybe animals too or that's just me, and clothing colour is like an instrument in harmony with the voice, or it's apart. Bilal has an amazingly expressive face even without changing their expression very much, it made those layers of interpretation very available.

    Can you do a video on gold? I’m a summer, but i personally prefer gold jewelry? My Kibbe ID is a classic, and I look best in monochromatic looks, and gold (although not in harmony with my skin color) tends to blend with my mid-tone Caucasian coloring. Therefore I think gold tends to fit my outfits / style best. But the more I get into color theory, the more I’d like too learn about the color options of gold for the seasons.
    Lastly, thank you. I found your silver jewelry video helpful. All of the silver I own is either too bright and luminous or too muted. Your video has helped me determine WHY I haven’t gravitated to wearing the silver I own: because I own the wrong kind.

    • @ChristineScaman
      @ChristineScaman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to hear the silver video was helpful :) Gold is on the list of topics and in the meantime, you may find a few examples at the end of the Your Best Yellow video on this channel. Gold works quite well for Soft and Light Summer, perhaps you're one of those, or I could imagine a cool, light gold for True Summer, not too dark or yellow. I actually don't have associations between body type and colour of jewelry as a colour analyst, or a Yang Classic (Dramatic Classic) in the Kibbe system. I'm not an image analyst and can see how gold might be traditional, but I'd see silver equally so.

    Hi! Adore your videos. Can you make a video on WHY I can I pull off colors better when I’m tan? Thank you!

    • @ChristineScaman
      @ChristineScaman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoy the videos :) People often feel better wearing brighter colours with a tan than they would when the skin tone is lighter in appearance. Makes sense too, we have more colour in our skin tones so we want to wear more colour.
      Do we actually look better? Maybe, it depends who you ask and how they're making the decision. Sometimes, we just feel better in suntan weather, we're outside more, and there's more light so colours seem less bright than they would in the colder, darker months. Media has also trained others (and us) to see suntans as more attractive and we may receive more compliments.
      Over the years, I've analyzed people with all levels of suntan (and sunburns), and based on the criteria of a colour analysis, they analyze into the same Season they normally would.
      They may have more surface melanin or inflammation, but it's their own melanin or hemoglobin, it hasn't mutated to a new colour, there's just more of it, so Season stays the same. Also, suntans may not increase the colours in our skin evenly. The surface melanin increases but I’m not sure about our other pigments (carotene, hemoglobin) and colour analysis is looking at all our colours, which may be another reason why we analyze into our same Season. An exception can be people who develop a lot of melanin with a tan and may test warmer than they are, a rare situation but still worth having colours analyzed when skin is close to its normal colour.
      I think the solution is the same as when our hair silvers: Stay in your original palette and use the brighter colours and combinations. Eye colour doesn't change with a tan and one risk of wearing too-bright colours is that we inadvertently fade the intensity of our natural eye colour. A tan won't do that, but wearing colour that seems to go with the tan might, same premise as 'don't wear match your makeup to your clothing colours unless you're sure the colours are yours'.
