I think that Christmas is so cheery with silver and gold, sparkles and glitter so Mattel instead of designing that plastic bow in their ears…😮 they should have done some kind of round gold earrings for the light hair girls and silver for the brown hair girls!👍🏻And with some glitter on it so first thing you see is the fabulous earrings because they didn’t use any glitter or sparkles on the dresses as you said, yeah… So the earrings and a nice tiny night wrist bag in gold for the gold earrings girls and silver for the others! To finish the cheer… just a very fine, single ruffle in gold for the golden girls and silver for the silvery girls, under their dresses and open so they show leg!!! I can mentally see it and the 3 accessories look great!!!✨🤔

When I saw GG, I teared up and I'm not even kidding! She's THE Barbie, and forever she will be THAT girl. Her screening definitely remided me of the 2000s era make-up and she looks so nostalgic! Teresa SNATCHED for this year. Every year, the Latina dolls are always the best out of the bunch, but WOW, she looked amazing! As a Millie semi-fan, I love that that they made her look so elegant this time. Everything seemed perfect, and the last time we had a good Millie face with the open mouth sculpt for the Holiday dolls were from 2018 (the anniversary doll). She's a stunner and would look great on some of the more recent BarbieStyle fashion packs!
Honestly, even though the dress to me is hideous, I do love the Teresa. I will definitely be getting her. Plus those heels will look great in a different color. But the dress and earrings I’m burning lol
The dress is rather ugly. I personally hate most things plaid and Christmas dresses are the few plaid things I don’t mind but this is just awful! And why does the dress look so cheap?
I have a doll with the same hair as the Desiree that i took down. I gave her a boil wash and wrapped a rubberband around her head to lay it down. Her hair looks so good. I love her curly textured chin length style she has now. There's no need to reroot just because she doesn't have long straight hair.
Lately, the dresses are too simple and underwhelming, but I love what they do with their faces. It's soooooo good to see Teresa, Desiree and GG again and what beautiful screenings! They are really great dolls to restyle. Last year, Daya and Karl were so cute, and in 2022 we had the amazing redhead Odile. I don't mind if dresses look cheaper as long as their faces and molds are so well worked. I agree with you that Brooklyn would have been wonderful (specially her closed mouth variant). I must say that I love the shoes too. Some people have commented that the back of the box looks like be created by IA and it really seems. If that's the case, I'm superdissapointed with that decision. The last thing Mattel needs is dispense of graphic and doll designers to replace them with IA U_U
Agree, the earrings look odd. I'd prefer something understated, metallic silver or gold. Love the Tartan, but lose the large tulle bow in the front. I hope for a Green Gown next year!

Hi Arjen, great video 😎 These dolls are in store already in the US. I love the dress and I want the Millie but she is sold out. They have a ton of Teresa. I like Teresa but her face up looks bad IMO. The big earrings look like religious crosses to me. I think they are cool 😁 I just got the fun and fancy Barbie and her hair is super long and colorful. It is Saran and soft. She would be a fun doll for you to makeover even though she doesn’t need a thing 😉
Hi Arjen. I am really enjoying these doll talks. It's fun because I have no local doll collector friends. So I see them release the Holiday doll pics and the dolls you discussed your last doll talk video. I want to talk about them and there's just the sound of crickets. 🦗LOL I usually don't buy Holiday dolls new. I run onto them in the after the Holiday sales, or in flea markets if they're the lovely 90's ones for great prices. But I love this plaid dress, and the dolls are very pretty, so this might be an exception. And it's great to see the Generation Girl Barbie with the red hair. But I also love the Teresa. Sigh, decisions, decisions, because of space and money. Yes, the dress is a bit simple, but then this also isn't 1994, it's 30 years later. I think the designers, besides cheaping out, 😉have gone for more of a sophisticated fashion model look for Holiday dolls now. Just like how they don't dress Barbie in the big ball gowns anymore at all, (excepting President Barbie.) They've kind of cut that out for the Holiday dolls as well. I think that's what makes the now vintage Holiday dolls from the 90's that much more special. Because they have that big ballgown look that is so over the top, with all those great accessories. I agree about the earrings though they can be modified to look better. And, if you want glitter, you can always lightly mist the plaid with some nice spray on gold glitter for some sparkle. We'll just have to get crafty with our dolls. I disagree on the shoes, I will be modifying the heel portion of those. I think from the front they look vintage, kind of 1940's, but with a weird, and ugly heel. I like that they don't always use the same face molds and mix those up. Because it keeps us wondering. That was the time, they used Nichelle 1990 sculpt for Holiday doll for last time. I would love to see that sculpt in Holiday line again and on Model Muse body. :) I know Jean Michel Basquiat, Madam CJ Walker and A Date with Destiny AA doll have Nichelle sculpt and I own first 2 of them, but I want Holiday Nichelle. :D
I would enjoy seeing some well made accessories. Besides jewlery, maybe tights, just some sort of fun holiday add on's. I hope next year the outfit is a more campy.

The only Holiday Barbie I’ve ever bought was Odile two years ago, and now I think I’ll get this redhead as well. She’s gorgeous! I like the dress, too (but not the earrings - they’re hideous). And Arjen, I’m afraid that GG is a Walmart Exclusive, so she won’t be available at Target or Amazon…😔
I was so thrilled when I saw this on the Mattel website especially after seeing that GG mold but I'm kind of getting tired of the Millie mold. I wish they could've used another GG mold or the Superstar mold for a change. The dress is kinda underwhelming for me and I feel like they could've added some accessories. The only reason I would buy this is because of Teresa and GG mold dolls and I just hope they'll restock the latter soon.

Hello - The earrings seem to be channeling icicles. Do you see that? The box (gift) at the ear drops down two ribbons. The whole can be lightly coated over with a brushed application of silver glitter in clear nail-varnish. Do not overdo. The idea is to add a sheen but to allow the ice to show through. That gives it the panache that Carlo Nuera might have wanted but which due to budget restrictions was cut. The Desiree up-do channels the Byron Lars On the Runway, don't you think? I think her eye make-up would perhaps be too heavy for a re-rooting with blonde and blue streaks - too disparate. I would not touch it in case of spoiling it. Remember these are Holiday editions, and not meant to be particularly sexy, so a bit of daring leg is about as far as they could go. Teresa's baby-hairs do work, as opposed to the ethnic Holiday of a while back, whose dreadlocks did not sit too well with collectors either. All in all, we are looking forward to these. Shot to those who could bag the redhead before us who are registered Mattel Members. That is supposed to be part of the thrill of the chase. We will make other arrangements and still be happy. Thanks for a really observant revue. As always - enjoy your collection!

There are alot of pretty faces in this line but not a huge fan of the dress. Too much going on but not in the right way or style. To be honest i am kind of glad Brooklyn isnt in this line. There are far too many versions of her in other lines and its nice to see different AA faces especially for a collector line such as this. Although the original blonde could be a different sculpt too but for some reason every line will always have the typical Millie type face which is a shame. I did hope for a different colour this year since red was last year i think we are due a green

I don´t want to see Holiday AA to be as repetitive as the blonde one is, like every blonde Holiday Barbie has been smiley Millie since 2016, except in 2017 when Carlyle used Closed Mouth Millie. I like diverse sculpts for AAs, since 2013 only repeated sculpt was Asha (2013-Pazette, 2014-Goddess, 2015-Mbili, 2016-Claudette, 2017-Lavinia, 2018-Asha, 2019-Shani, 2020-Asha, 2021-June, 2022-Brooklyn, 2023-Daya, 2024-Adria), hopefully, we will see also Christie 1987, Nichelle 1990, Elle, Tamika, Simone and Selma used for Holiday dolls in the future. :)

It's been awhile since a pink and they have never done the holiday Ken doll which would be nice especially a double pack. I remember back in the day they did the holiday sisters pack. I agree some of the iconic ones should come into play with the collector dolls and the Halloween dolls should come back. Do you remember those?

(I've dealt with a lot of venom from other women in my life) I think the Desire is really nice. I like the face, the updo and that she has both hands on her hips. She looks proud and classy, and no messin'. However, I think I'd buy the redhead if I had to pick one. ; ) That's a lot of red in one place, and I like that! Plus tartan and a redhead works, it's Scottish all over. Just needs a necklace. I don't like the earrings either, or the blocky shoes. I prefer the original ankle strap heel. This is not a dress I could ever imagine wearing myself, but I like the backdrop in the box, as a seasonal diorama display miniature. Sometimes I buy Barbies because I'm looking for myself in them, what am I, and what do I want to be.
It is upsetting that they make it so hard to get the red heads in Europe. I was not able to get the odile red head christmas doll. And probably this one will be the same. 😢
Love your breakdown! They're gorgeous! I semi-recently fell in love with the Crystal face sculpt so I'm heavily biased and I'm happy to see her among the five, haha. The only thing I dislike here is Desiree having 2 bent arms. Combine that with the model muse body's bent knee, and she can't sit without falling over. I rarely re-body dolls, so it's inconvenient for me specifically. The others have one or both arms extended straight, so they can support themselves if they have to sit or lean against something. I have the Brooklyn doll from a couple Christmases ago with the exact same problem. 😅 And I miss seeing her in this lineup, too!

I’m loving the redhead, Crystal and Teresa as well. I’m not crazy about the dresses and I hate the earrings (they remind me of crosses), but their faces are gorgeous. Hopefully I’ll be able to get at least one of them when they’re reduced in price a bit. 😊❤️

The bodice is nicer in person…tulle draped and gathered diagonally across the bust. The earrings are tacky tho. The 2004 holiday doll had metal earrings and a purse with chain. Metal earrings would have been lovely.

This time Millie is the prettiest one for me. Which is surprising , because often the Millie screenings on the holiday dolls can come off a bit harsh. Teresa's second cutest for me. I really don't like the shoes and earrings though.. .🙃

I am happy AA is Desiree, because this is the first time she is in Holiday line, Brooklyn would be boring for me, because she was already in 2022 Holiday line. I am fan of using as many as possible facial sculpts in Holiday line. I want to see also Diva/Midge sculpt, Steffie, Lea, Lara, Daria, Mari, MOTM Nichelle and Teen Skipper in Holiday line and comeback of Nichelle 1990 sculpt like Teresa this year. :) So, please not smiley Brooklyn in Holiday line for next 5 years to create space for more sculpts like Selma, Elle, Closed Mouth Brooklyn, Kim and of course comeback of Nichelle 1990. :) So perfect combo for 2025 Holiday line would be: blonde - Mackie or Closed Mouth Millie, Latina - Tango Barbie, Steffie or Lara, AA - Nichelle 1990, Asian - Mari or Lea and redhead - Diva/Midge. For 2024 I am happy with all sculpts, except Millie. :D The debut of Adria and the comeback of Teresa were my dreams for the Holiday line.

I just ordered the Teresa and the Asian model on Mattel Creations...then I found the redhead on Walmart, which will be delivered to the house this Friday...do you have a shipping partner here in the US? If so, they could get you the dolls and ship them to you...I plan to use the Tersa with the anniversary outfit (Yes, that doll should have come with a Tersa head sculpt!)...the others might get MTM bodies...the outfit I do not LOVE, but I am thinking of removing the tulle at the should and hip and replacing them with a beautifully pre-tied velvet bow, which I think will look MUCH better than the original tulle!

Ummm….im not sure how I feel about these. I love the dolls themselves. The redhead and Teresa are my faves. The dress is a HOT MESS. We’ve had enough one shoulder tops with a big pouf at the shoulder. The tartan is a good idea, but like you said MORE layers so it looks full. Instead of the red top maybe they should have done green with some gold glitter. Those earrings!!!!!! Ahh they are hideous. I don’t even know what they are supposed to be??? Budget aside, gloves, a bracelet, a tiara would have done wonders. They look nice in the box though. I want the redhead if possible or else Teresa. Lately, the dresses are too simple and underwhelming, but I love what they do with their faces. It's soooooo good to see Teresa, Desiree and GG again and what beautiful screenings! They are really great dolls to restyle. Last year, Daya and Karl were so cute, and in 2022 we had the amazing redhead Odile. I don't mind if dresses look cheaper as long as their faces and molds are so well worked.
I agree with you that Brooklyn would have been wonderful (specially her closed mouth variant).
I must say that I love the shoes too.
Some people have commented that the back of the box looks like be created by IA and it really seems. If that's the case, I'm superdissapointed with that decision. The last thing Mattel needs is dispense of graphic and doll designers to replace them with IA U_U

Hi Arjen, great video 😎 These dolls are in store already in the US. I love the dress and I want the Millie but she is sold out. They have a ton of Teresa. I like Teresa but her face up looks bad IMO. The big earrings look like religious crosses to me. I think they are cool 😁 I just got the fun and fancy Barbie and her hair is super long and colorful. It is Saran and soft. She would be a fun doll for you to makeover even though she doesn’t need a thing 😉

So I see them release the Holiday doll pics and the dolls you discussed your last doll talk video. I want to talk about them and there's just the sound of crickets. 🦗LOL I usually don't buy Holiday dolls new. I run onto them in the after the Holiday sales, or in flea markets if they're the lovely 90's ones for great prices. But I love this plaid dress, and the dolls are very pretty, so this might be an exception. And it's great to see the Generation Girl Barbie with the red hair. But I also love the Teresa. Sigh, decisions, decisions, because of space and money.
Yes, the dress is a bit simple, but then this also isn't 1994, it's 30 years later. I think the designers, besides cheaping out, 😉have gone for more of a sophisticated fashion model look for Holiday dolls now. Just like how they don't dress Barbie in the big ball gowns anymore at all, (excepting President Barbie.) They've kind of cut that out for the Holiday dolls as well. I think that's what makes the now vintage Holiday dolls from the 90's that much more special. Because they have that big ballgown look that is so over the top, with all those great accessories.
I agree about the earrings though they can be modified to look better. And, if you want glitter, you can always lightly mist the plaid with some nice spray on gold glitter for some sparkle. We'll just have to get crafty with our dolls. I disagree on the shoes, I will be modifying the heel portion of those. I think from the front they look vintage, kind of 1940's, but with a weird, and ugly heel. I like that they don't always use the same face molds and mix those up. Because it keeps us wondering. I would love to see that sculpt in Holiday line again and on Model Muse body. :) I know Jean Michel Basquiat, Madam CJ Walker and A Date with Destiny AA doll have Nichelle sculpt and I own first 2 of them, but I want Holiday Nichelle. :D

I was so thrilled when I saw this on the Mattel website especially after seeing that GG mold but I'm kind of getting tired of the Millie mold. I wish they could've used another GG mold or the Superstar mold for a change. The dress is kinda underwhelming for me and I feel like they could've added some accessories. The only reason I would buy this is because of Teresa and GG mold dolls and I just hope they'll restock the latter soon.

Hello - The earrings seem to be channeling icicles. Do you see that? The box (gift) at the ear drops down two ribbons. The whole can be lightly coated over with a brushed application of silver glitter in clear nail-varnish. Do not overdo. The idea is to add a sheen but to allow the ice to show through. That gives it the panache that Carlo Nuera might have wanted but which due to budget restrictions was cut.
The Desiree up-do channels the Byron Lars On the Runway, don't you think? I think her eye make-up would perhaps be too heavy for a re-rooting with blonde and blue streaks - too disparate. I would not touch it in case of spoiling it.
Remember these are Holiday editions, and not meant to be particularly sexy, so a bit of daring leg is about as far as they could go.
Teresa's baby-hairs do work, as opposed to the ethnic Holiday of a while back, whose dreadlocks did not sit too well with collectors either.
All in all, we are looking forward to these. Shot to those who could bag the redhead before us who are registered Mattel Members. That is supposed to be part of the thrill of the chase. We will make other arrangements and still be happy.

I grew up with the GG face sculpt. I'm glad Mattel brought her back because she is BARBIE.
There are alot of pretty faces in this line but not a huge fan of the dress. Too much going on but not in the right way or style. To be honest i am kind of glad Brooklyn isnt in this line. There are far too many versions of her in other lines and its nice to see different AA faces especially for a collector line such as this. Although the original blonde could be a different sculpt too but for some reason every line will always have the typical Millie type face which is a shame. I did hope for a different colour this year since red was last year i think we are due a green

I don´t want to see Holiday AA to be as repetitive as the blonde one is, like every blonde Holiday Barbie has been smiley Millie since 2016, except in 2017 when Carlyle used Closed Mouth Millie. I like diverse sculpts for AAs, since 2013 only repeated sculpt was Asha (2013-Pazette, 2014-Goddess, 2015-Mbili, 2016-Claudette, 2017-Lavinia, 2018-Asha, 2019-Shani, 2020-Asha, 2021-June, 2022-Brooklyn, 2023-Daya, 2024-Adria), hopefully, we will see also Christie 1987, Nichelle 1990, Elle, Tamika, Simone and Selma used for Holiday dolls in the future. :)

It's been awhile since a pink and they have never done the holiday Ken doll which would be nice especially a double pack. I remember back in the day they did the holiday sisters pack. I agree some of the iconic ones should come into play with the collector dolls and the Halloween dolls should come back. Do you remember those?

I think the Desire is really nice. I like the face, the updo and that she has both hands on her hips. She looks proud and classy, and no messin'. However, I think I'd buy the redhead if I had to pick one. ; ) That's a lot of red in one place, and I like that! Plus tartan and a redhead works, it's Scottish all over. Just needs a necklace. I don't like the earrings either, or the blocky shoes. I prefer the original ankle strap heel. This is not a dress I could ever imagine wearing myself, but I like the backdrop in the box, as a seasonal diorama display miniature. Sometimes I buy Barbies because I'm looking for myself in them, what am I, and what do I want to be.

Love your breakdown! They're gorgeous! I semi-recently fell in love with the Crystal face sculpt so I'm heavily biased and I'm happy to see her among the five, haha.
The only thing I dislike here is Desiree having 2 bent arms. Combine that with the model muse body's bent knee, and she can't sit without falling over. I rarely re-body dolls, so it's inconvenient for me specifically. The others have one or both arms extended straight, so they can support themselves if they have to sit or lean against something. I have the Brooklyn doll from a couple Christmases ago with the exact same problem. 😅 And I miss seeing her in this lineup, too!

I’m loving the redhead, Crystal and Teresa as well. I’m not crazy about the dresses and I hate the earrings (they remind me of crosses), but their faces are gorgeous. Hopefully I’ll be able to get at least one of them when they’re reduced in price a bit. 😊❤️

This time Millie is the prettiest one for me. Which is surprising , because often the Millie screenings on the holiday dolls can come off a bit harsh. Teresa's second cutest for me. I really don't like the shoes and earrings though.. .🙃

I am fan of using as many as possible facial sculpts in Holiday line. I want to see also Diva/Midge sculpt, Steffie, Lea, Lara, Daria, Mari, MOTM Nichelle and Teen Skipper in Holiday line and comeback of Nichelle 1990 sculpt like Teresa this year. :) So, please not smiley Brooklyn in Holiday line for next 5 years to create space for more sculpts like Selma, Elle, Closed Mouth Brooklyn, Kim and of course comeback of Nichelle 1990. :) So perfect combo for 2025 Holiday line would be: blonde - Mackie or Closed Mouth Millie, Latina - Tango Barbie, Steffie or Lara, AA - Nichelle 1990, Asian - Mari or Lea and redhead - Diva/Midge. For 2024 I am happy with all sculpts, except Millie. :D The debut of Adria and the comeback of Teresa were my dreams for the Holiday line.

@@Kharizmah Rooted eyelashes could look nice but sometimes really weird, I know many people who hate them. And to articulation, Barbie has many lines with articulation, Holiday line is only line for fans of Model Muse body, where they can get diverse dolls without rebodying them.

I just ordered the Teresa and the Asian model on Mattel Creations...then I found the redhead on Walmart, which will be delivered to the house this Friday...do you have a shipping partner here in the US? If so, they could get you the dolls and ship them to you...I plan to use the Tersa with the anniversary outfit (Yes, that doll should have come with a Tersa head sculpt!)...the others might get MTM bodies...the outfit I do not LOVE, but I am thinking of removing the tulle at the should and hip and replacing them with a beautifully pre-tied velvet bow, which I think will look MUCH better than the original tulle!

Ummm….im not sure how I feel about these. I love the dolls themselves. The redhead and Teresa are my faves. The dress is a HOT MESS. We’ve had enough one shoulder tops with a big pouf at the shoulder. The tartan is a good idea, but like you said MORE layers so it looks full. Instead of the red top maybe they should have done green with some gold glitter. Those earrings!!!!!! Ahh they are hideous. I don’t even know what they are supposed to be??? Budget aside, gloves, a bracelet, a tiara would have done wonders. They look nice in the box though. I want the redhead if possible or else Teresa.
