Hi Andre, keep up the great job! Here Umberto from Italy and I have trouble in setting up my SQ5 as an audio interface with Logic, especially regarding the usb routing from the mixer to my Mac. Would you please help me? Thanks in advance, best
Well Done Andre! Thanks for sharing AND explaining stage plot! It was interesting seeing your mixer layout. Groups and sends. I used to do these types of shows back in the analogue days and the the QU days also using a side QU as well for channel count. Gosh how far the digital age has come. The radio mics on the left of the mixer : are they for your vocals? I would also love to know your layer mixer channels. I could not quite see the writing on the left side of the mixer. Cheers and thank you again. NZ-Dave
Hi Dave, thanks the compliment. I appreciate that very much! Yes, the receivers left to the mixer are for the handheld wireless microphones. I like to monitor the battery status, RF gain, etc. The mics have the 965 capsules. Great sounding and flexiable mics with 10dB pad , Supercardioid/cardioid switch and lowcut. My Layers A and B represent my inputlayers. They match the patching of the inputs: first my AR2412 (or what ever comes through the SLink port) , then the local inputs. I will not drag and drop those around. I regard them as my "analog fallback". Layers D and E are my mixing layers. Those can vary greatly from scene to scene and include input channels, DCAs, FX sends, groups etc. Finally, layer F is for my outputs: MainLR, Matrices, Aux to broadcast feed. Plus my inputs for my iPod, CD Player, phonograph... Hope that helps. Cheers, André
Hi Andre, i have SQ7 and working with Logic Pro X, Every time I open one project witch I save the scene for it doesn't recall the particular scene. Can u do a video showing us how to recall the scene for each project? Like soon u open the project on logic the SQ7 opens the scene for the project u just open. Thanks bro
Hi mate, at the moment I use only the inbuild effects, including the Allen&Heath Add Ons. I have a waves option card installed to record, when more then 32 channels are required. Hope that helps, Cheers!
Hey,nice videos man!I'm thinking about to purchase my very first digital mixer-do you consider the SQ5 a good choice? I will use it for live band gigs, home studio. Thanks!
Hi Sandor, I think the SQ5 is perfect for that. Small, great sounding, lots of local i/o, USB, Touchscreen, etc pp. I use it live and at home all the time and really enjoy its portability, besides all the other features. But do your homework and compare it with other mixers, too. The M32/X32 mixers can be great, too. Especially considering the pricetag. Having said that, I like the sound and userinterface much better, than those of the M32/X32... Cheers, André
@@AndreSchaier I was looking to buy an SQ5 last summer but lockdown etc made me put things on hold. Prices are looking much more interesting now - on the Thomann website both the SQ5 and the M32r have both gone down in price by about £300 each from the summer listing.
£300 less? Wow, that is a really nice discount. I was just looking at the german thomann store. The price there is €2444 and has not changed for a long time. Now that I think about, it might be even the price I bought it for in 2018...
@@AndreSchaier I've just realised that they have listed the price without VAT, which wasn't the case before... hence my joy at what I thought was a good price which had me reaching for my card... I am now face palming myself for seeing only the big number and not the small text... lol
Schön, dass doch noch ein paar Sachen stattfinden!

Hi FamaStar,
I´m not sure, this is not possible. Maybe with some midi wizardry...
Cheers,
