Thailand has kept its unique culture for so long because it was never colonized by any other country. Even during tough times like the colonial era or the Cold War, Thailand managed to stay independent. That’s why we still see so many beautiful traditions and cultural events throughout the year.
Hi Ryan and Damo thank you for sharing this event once again it’s so beautiful to see all the lovely colours of the flowers and dress code all the children looks great in their Thai clothes And Damo looking beautiful as well and to see a country staying together in a tradition certainly shows us how nice it is there thank you for sharing
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I sit her in Sweden with my Thai wife and we watched your fantastic video Ryan and Mo,and since I’m a very emotional guy I have a lot of tears in my eyes, but only happy tears,to share your video with my wife,it’s the second best I can do right now,but next Loy Kratong I want to join the celebration live when we moved to our house in Hua Hin,we both wish you all a good time, stay healthy, and take good care of each other, from us here in Sweden.❤❤❤❤
Hi Ryan and Damo. Thank you for doing such a nice repotage that we get to share with you are the memories from Hua Hin when we celebrated as you are doing now. Good luck with everything you do with your big family. Thank you very much.
Oh yes excellent. Love the traditional outfits and the traditional festivals. Looks really good. Camera is paying for itself with the quality. Great to see people enjoying themselves. 👍😇❤️
Thank you so much Ryan and Damo plus the boys for your kind wishes and Loy Kratong blessings. Whilst, as a Christian, I don't follow the Buddhist part of the festival, I whole-heartedly agree with the sentiments behind the Festival and the love that is shown to fellow humankind. I also agree with you that traditions like this should be upheld and preserved. The new camera is even sharper than the other one and picked up everything perfectly. May I take this opportunity to wish you and the whole family a Happy Loy Kratong, today and everyday, and may God bless you and keep you safe and continue to shower you with His blessings throughout the coming year. 😀🙏❤
Happy Loy kratong to you all . Its great that they are keeping the culture alive and to see people in there traditional dress . It's great to see people having fun and smiling faces , long may it continue. Always interesting and informative and entertaining
I have lived in Lamphun Thailand for 15 years with my Thai wife. I love Loy kratong, and the weather is so perfect this time of the year. Ryan, you are blessed to be able to experience this rich cultural lifestyle with your lovely wife and family.
Bloody lovely you sharing this with us Ryan and Family xx ❤ I Actually got emotional seeing the kids all dressed up bless them 🙏 . I love the Thai people ❤️
Stand by Me storyline actually closed with these kids, who shared their most closest fears, secrets, ambitions, drifting apart in subsequent years. The narrator of the story kept tabs with one of the kids into adulthood.
Great episode all. The new camera is better quality it seems to me. Damo looks lovely, the children look sharp and all dressed up, while daddy looks the same and wearing his hat at night again! 555 Its all good. Love the musical part, those young children really learned their instruments and the song well . As always thanks for bringing us along on your big Loy Krathong festival outing guys. Peace, Love, and Health Y'all
Thanks for sharing your family's festival night. It's great to see the traditional Thai traditions with beautiful colours and a peaceful family atmosphere. I wish that I were there in Thailand to enjoy these times... hopefully soon. My Thai fiancee lives about 150 metres away from the Ping River with clear line of sight, as is the local temple. She arrived home just after 7pm last night after 2 days in Bangkok working in catering. She asked my permission to go to the local Loy Krathong festival and I wondered why. It seems it was for her own peace of mind, perhaps I think, due to having known each other for just on two years now and the bond we have formed, even though I haven't been able to get back to visit her since we first met. I hope that I will soon be able to return and enjoy Loy Krathong with my fiancee and her family, just as you enjoy it with your family. Just watching the vlog on my low end Android phone, the quality of your new camera seems to record night scenes well.
Another fantastic video Ryan, Thai tradition is so interesting. What a wonderful life you and your family share with extended family. 100% better than being in a concrete jungle like most big cities are now. Blessings to you and your family 🙏 health and happiness 🙏
Thanks for sharing Ryan and Damo. I don't think these type of traditional celebrations will ever die out in Thailand. I certainly hope not. Looked like a great time was had by everyone and the kids had fun especially Hugo !! Happy Loy Krathong to all of you family and friends. All the best guys
i love how everyones dressed up, kids can go out and experience the culture together. i love the sound of the khaen, ancestral vibes. the cameras great at night! the life you lead is always inspiring, keep it up ryan and fam
Hey Ryan and Damo and Otis and Hugo, what a pleasant video to watch. Hugo seems very independent, just go on his own really good. I think he will be an independent person all of his life.❤
Hi Ryan lovely video from you my first time on your TH-cam page 😀 very best to you and your family ❤Martin Rogers from Bournemouth England 🏴 UK 😊
Hi Ryan many thanks for a quick reply 😀 xxxx I've been travelling to Thailand 🇹🇭 for over 20 years and I left my wife Lek bringing in the rice harvest from her farm 🚜 😀 I know today is Loy Krathong celebrations and I've had a few myself and I'm so pleased to have found you and your family and hopefully when I'm back in Thailand again I'll let you know and we can all have a barbecue and enjoy the fruits of our labour 😊 I'm semi retired now but would love to be able to have a future with Lek in our house 🏠 we built 😀 speak soon Martin
Preserving the beautiful Thai culture is everything….my biggest fear for Thailand with the massive influx of Expats from around the world is an erosion of the culture
Happy Loy Krathong to you and all loved ones! All the family are sooooo cool and beautiful in their traditional Thai dress, well except for the English man….. we all, TH-cam friends would have loved to see you dress for the festival …. Lose that had for traditional Thai Headgear for a change. Loved it all, have to experience it ourselves and time our next Thai trip with the festivities. Blessings to you all!
I wish you and the family good health and long life. At 91 I'm a bit long in the tooth and I stopped going to float a kratong a few years ago. My wife snips a bit of my hair off. Yes, I still have plenty, to put in her kratong. A lovely festival. A good video.
Fantastic, Ryan and Damo! Ryan, you have a beautiful wife...truly beautiful! She looks so much like my wonderful Thai wife, Peaw! I am also sure that she has hit the jackpot with you! Beautiful family mate....You, Damo, 'Tis and 'Go. You are blessed! Offer gratitude EVERY DAY!
What a great evening you had! I was in Chiang Mai this year for Loi Kratong and Yi Peng festival. And though it enables you to make great records of lanterns in the sky as in your end generic, I feel I would have much more prefferd your Buriram version of Loi Kratong. In Chiang Mai, it was just overcrowded!
Looks fantastic and the pocket 3 footage is awesome. I really like Prasat Muang Tam, we regularly go when we visit Wassana's Village. We recently visited the quarry where the stone for PMT came from, we did a youtube video on the quarry. best wishes to you and your family for Loy Krathong. Trev & Wassana
Brilliant video which really captured the family atmosphere that is so important in Thailand. You have without doubt made the right decision with where you live and how you live your life. You could be back home in Bolton where many shops are vacant having gone to the wall. Their doorways are now filled with homeless people and druggies - very sad.
For a long time, I though that is was actually pronounced ROY Krathong, but that many thais pronounced it LOY Krathong due to difficulties in pronouncing the "R" sound (as they often times do when it comes to other "R"-words)... Silly me... Let me take the oportunity to thank you for making my "out of thailand time" barable with your VLOGs! Now when I'm here, I don't need it as much, but am still kind of hooked...so when time allows (and gave you the eight hundred and eighty eighth like for this vid)... :-)
Happy Loy Krathong! Unfortunately I arrive in Thailand only in 2 weeks. Yes, countryside does not always mean boring. And Hugo reminds me when my son was in that age, always looking out for something new - Number 5 alive. BTW: I like the Thai background music (during scenes on the festival area) of this vdo. Can you tell who/what it is and where to get?
I think the children will keep in contact, you will be a great influence for the children for further education, which could be vocational training or University education, all countries need both. But, I'm absolutely sure that the children will be in contact for life, because of the family values, life that they are sharing together❤❤
Loy Krathong Day is one of the most popular festivals of Thailand celebrated annually on the Full-Moon Day of the Twelfth Lunar Month. It takes place at a time when the weather is fine as the rainy season is over and there is a high water level all over the country. Happy Loy Krathong to you, Damo, Otis, Hugo & all other kids at a Happy Krathong festival till the time is going to end by taking time to enjoy happily with peace quotes.
Hello Ryan. I have been searching for your information about Lyons Mane. I live in the Philippines and want to try Lyons Mane. Can you please provide direction to your information. The typical information online is very vague and I prefer trusting your experience. I really enjoy all your video's. Respectfully, L

Loy Krathong is by far my favorite Thai festival. I love the beauty, elegance, and symbolism that it invokes.
I have lived in Lamphun Thailand for 15 years with my Thai wife. I love Loy kratong, and the weather is so perfect this time of the year. Ryan, you are blessed to be able to experience this rich cultural lifestyle with your lovely wife and family.
