I don't think this song got the recognition it deserved. I put it up there with Jumpin Jack Flash and Brown Sugar. It will be one that people will discover in later years as being great. It is Blues, Jazz and Rock and Roll all in one song. Like Brown Sugar, it is just plain nasty. That bass line. That trumpet. That harp and guitar.
I was out in the city I was out in the rain I was feeling down hearted I was drinking again I was standing by the bridges Where the dark water flows I was talking to a stranger About times long ago I was young I was foolish I was angry I was vain I was charming I was lucky Tell me how have I changed Now I'm out Oh out of control Now I'm out Oh out of control Oh help me now And the girls in the doorway And the boys in the game And the drunks and the homeless They all know me And the police on the corner Give a nod and a wave As they point me To my final destination I was young I was foolish I was angry I was vain I was charming Feeling lucky Tell me how have I changed Now I'm out Oh out of control Now I'm out Oh out of control Oh help me now In the hotel I'm excited By the smile on her face But I wondered How was time Gonna change her I was young I was foolish I was angry I was vain I was charming I was out there Tell me how have I changed Now I'm out Oh out of control Oh I'm out Oh out of control
In this music I feel a mixed of happines and revolt about his youth , was pretty good netherless can't ruturn to that . Sorry about my English , I'm Brazilian .😉🇧🇷🇺🇸🇮🇸
I never understood how this didnt become a staple of their live shows from 1997 on...a criminally underrated song that just explodes live. I know they’ve played it a fair amount over the years since, but its excellent enough to have become a latter-day warhorse in the set list.
😅great song great interaction between Keith and Mick. The stones are the greatest rock group around. And they are still performing despite the sad loss of Charlie
🎷🎶Why when i play this song i can t stop to cry..???Why when i hear this music i feel part of the my rebell mind so hard?I m Out of CONTROLL...and all appears me in another side💎👅
Rip Charlie watts. You be missed you differently were. A great drummer. The Rolling Stones are without a doubt the world’s greatest rock and roll band.
Stones fan since I was 14 , now 61.This in my opinion is their best performance of all time as a group .Richards clean and sober at the top of his game , Charlie and Ronnie in perfect time. Jagger setting the bar high and hitting it , now that is " Rock and Roll "
Me too. My first concert i was 14 years old in the Hague Zuiderpark stadion Netherlands, and now 62 years old. 167 concerts all over the world and my best was the Copacabana in Brasil. Oh yeah they played like they came from another planet. 5 days later i came back home in the Netherlands and still out of control.
Awesome , must be a man of means and quite intelligent. I am a Toronto boy .My 16th birthday early gift from my mom she let go to Buffalo New York July 4 1978 Stones. They sucked , I was so disappointed , but captivated by the experience. I was standing on a milk crate front row giving Jagger the middle finger. Richards got busted here and smelled the coffee.Jagger ran 8 miles a day and the 1981 show was incredible in Buffalo. I also drove to Detroit and saw them at the Silver Dome. Sobriety is good not easy 30 years this Dec 28th.My father was the first Canadian heart throb in the 1950s and took his life same day as today Aug 14th 1985.God bless the Stones for being good role models and escaping addiction .Its only rock and roll , but I like it....
It's 2am, I'm doing nothing, yet hearing this especially Keiths guitar as always, I'm feeling ecstatic, like Jaggers moves. Love the Stones. What its about!
this the bet performance of all time, vocal, bass, grif, drum and 15-20 quitars on background and the best feeling for all,I Know and they know,Master piece and so on,Ever!!!
Love,Out of Control, cause it describes a whole lot of people. This song has some hard hitting lyrics. The song 🎵 really depicts what it's like to be out of control, and what circumstances came make you feel out of control. Well done Mick and Keith for the genius songwriting. 🎉❤
He tenido la fortuna de verlos 4 veces en CDMX, es un espectáculo impresionante ver a Jagger en el escenario. Esta canción en especial es majestuosa, una de las mejores interpretaciones de rock en vivo en la historia, sin duda alguna.
5:20 One of the greatest moments in Stones concert history. Never seen a harmonica and guitar have such hard sex like that! That was in St. Louis. Blessed to be there that night.
@danny, a woman who owned a Bar in Eureka,MO, was caught on the Video close-up of this Concert put on PBS. Kim Grant, formerly of Markim's Cafe(closed in 2000,now JP's)
Saw them perform this at Orange Bowl Miami as the sun was going down, huge streaks of pink, orange, peach like all the buildings in Miami. Goosebumps still. There is nothing else in this world like the energy of a Stones concert..
Im from LA, but I was there on that night at the Orange Bowl. Actually the only time in my life I was in Miami. But I remember it being dark when they took the stage

Totally agreed
think it's so much better than both those songs. ..Mick is so full of energy ! he had a heart thing too...bless his soul ,hope he still owns it
It deserves better
For me this song was a life changer
I have been a fan for decades this is in my top three stones songs
This song is insane and it's 1,000,000x better live. This take is definitive
Guitar licks are insane, Keith is god

I love this song. It's Midnight Rambler 2.0!
Probably their very best post-70s song.
The greatest R&R Band of all the time, period.
I was out in the city
I was out in the rain
I was feeling down hearted
I was drinking again
I was standing by the bridges
Where the dark water flows
I was talking to a stranger
About times long ago
I was young
I was foolish
I was angry
I was vain
I was charming
I was lucky
Tell me how have I changed
Now I'm out
Oh out of control
Now I'm out
Oh out of control
Oh help me now
And the girls in the doorway
And the boys in the game
And the drunks and the homeless
They all know me
And the police on the corner
Give a nod and a wave
As they point me
To my final destination
I was young
I was foolish
I was angry
I was vain
I was charming
Feeling lucky
Tell me how have I changed
Now I'm out
Oh out of control
Now I'm out
Oh out of control
Oh help me now
In the hotel I'm excited
By the smile on her face
But I wondered
How was time
Gonna change her
I was young
I was foolish
I was angry
I was vain
I was charming
I was out there
Tell me how have I changed
Now I'm out
Oh out of control
Oh I'm out
Oh out of control
i don´t like in the studio album but here it is sublime !!! much better than in the album
Keef!! Mind your hands! ❤😂😂😂
I could never name my favorite Stones Tunes until Out of Control

Perfect song.

keefriff99 agreed this song is a monument to what they can do live! Long live the stones for eternity brother!
1FSUBulldog you’re the guy next door huh? Cool turn it up more!
I have always wondered why
It has ! Compared to 99% of songs released after 1981, this one is still performed frequently nowadays, the Stones know how good it is
Skann thank the rock gods because I’ve only seen it pop up a few times but I do love this song... cheers from a fellow rock fan
Trumpet is amazing
The best band!
Yeah the stones are good

Es una barbaridad todo, la canción, la puesta en escena, la actuación, los músicos, y el brutal despliegue físico de Mick.
